The headset is the best on the market today. this only comes with one sensor, and not hand tracking. You really need the Touch accessory. And you'll need to buy some really long USB3 cables for a room-scale setup. Once you've done that— you've got a VR setup on par with Vive, but way cheaper, and with better hardware.

I got this for my 15 year old son. He absolutely loves it! I would recommend getting the face pads though to make it a little more comfortable. After wearing it for awhile, he said it became a little uncomfortable. Not enough to be an issue though! The oculus is super fun!

After going through the Oculus demonstration in store, I realized this was something friends and family would absolutely enjoy. This is one one of the most unique items you'll ever get your hands on and is a blast to use!

If you don't agree before you even look or try it out then you won't ever understand. VR is a bit of a gimmick right now... but it's definitely not to be ignored or mis-understood. Get your hands on it NOW NOW NOW.

Am amazed at the great quality of VR for such a low cost.....Many great VR programs to experience but my absolute favorite is creating in VR with Oculus Medium....Have already recommended to many artist friends and teaching VR design in college.....This is the FUTURE....

The oculus rift is incredible, you can truely get lost inside of it and spend hours exploring environments or playing games. my whole family loves it. While it is a big pricey you quickly see what you got for your money, i have had zero regrets on purchasing this device.

Eventually returned because got fed up with USB issues even after buying a pci card. Unfortunately won't work right on my pc. Aside that it was a great experience and immersive. Will come back to vr eventually when I feel the kinks have been ironed out

I've been officially obsessed with VR for the past several years. The Rift is a culmination of my dreams come true. There is still a ways to go in the VR field, but this experience is awesome and a great entry to the next big entertainment and educational medium!

$399 Summer of Rift sale was all I needed to hear. Already having a VR ready PC put the Rift into impulse buy territory, for me. It's a ton of fun, so much more immersive than you can ever imagine. Games, while not plentiful are getting incredibly polished.

VR headset for serious VR experience - do not even think that the junior headsets in market that you can use with your phone's do any justice to.what VR can deliver - wish putting on and off and switching the headset from person 1 to 2 is easier than having to fiddle.with the 3 straps , annoying but it's OK

When the touch controllers come out, then it can be compare to the Vive. It has some good games, but I really don't like the oculus store. It doesn't have reviews for their games like the steam store, so it's hard for me to know, if the game is going to be good. They also don't have a refund policy like steam.

The rift is great that's it. But if you don't have the computer hardware to push it can be a bad experience. the nose area definitely gets stuffy. I wish there were more game choices for this but I'm sure there are bunch in the pipe. Also I missed the $200 off sale by two weeks talk about a bummer

This is a great product. My son really enjoys the system. Only downside is that the games are relatively new and pretty short. They are cheaper than other gaming system games, but seem to be fancy demo's. i'm sure the games will get better as time goes on.

dont let anyone tell you otherwise, this is hands down as good as all the other virtual reality headsets. top of the line and no complaints. was a tough choice between htc vive but no regrets.

The install was difficult, only because you need ALL the latest windows updates before you install your rift. If you been waiting for VR to "get there", your wait is over. I tend to become so immersed you literally forget where you are. Great product.

I was running HTC Vive for science, but wanted to try Oculus Rift because of the slightly different design, weight, and minor software options. After using Oculus Rift for 3 months, I should have stayed with Vive because of quality and support. 1) Main issue: Oculus developed an intermittent frame freeze that does not appear to be treatable. The support has been asking me to make logs, plug-replug, reinstall, make videos, pictures of the device. It is a part time job that is going on for over a month! 2) Minor issue: Oculus appears to be less ergonomic then Vive if you wear glasses. 3) My two Vive devices in the lab work perfectly fine.

I have been hawking this for a few years now and now that it is a reasonable price I finally bought one. Best purchase I've ever made. I had high expectations and this went far beyond what I thought was possible. Truly ground breaking tech.

The Oculus Rift is totally excellent. The entry cost of the Oculus plus the high system specs required for use makes it a bit out of reach for the average user. If you have the rig to run it, the games available are very fun and immersive.

My kids and I enjoy the Oculus very much. The only negative side are the games, except for Eve Valkyrie. Hoping that with the Touch in December and new competition from Sony that the games will be better. Also, the lenses fog up sometimes. These are why I gave it four stars instead of 5.
