This is one of my favorite martial arts movie trilogy. Its about a muay Thai fighter in a small Thai village, the head of a religious statue is stolen and the protagonist chases it down. Suffice to say he meets with challenging fights I will not spoil the movies but the last two go back into time to a past life relative who gets trained into other fighting styles other than muay Thai. The greatest thing about the movies is tony jaa does all of his own crazy stunts and that's an understament. The stunts and fight sequences will blow your mind. I recommend this to anybody who loves martial arts. If you like Bruce lee l, Jackie Chan, sonny chiba and fans of kung fu movies. To sum it up in a few words, exhilarating, action packed, edge of your seat fighting scenes. A must own for any kung fu,action, martial arts collection.

I am an MMA fighter, here in Tulsa . And I love to watch fighting as well as practice it, and there's no better way to spend the night after working out in the ring, than to come home and put on a Blu-Ray with TONS of Martial Arts Action BUSTING through my TV screen !!! This particular series has some definite real fighting moves that I practice personally...always a joy to see realistic skills displayed on my 50" Plasma, with my LG surround Sound Sustem I bought from Best Buy....Just AWESOME !

Some of Tony Jaa's Best Work

Tony Jaa did some of his best work in this trilogy. I do caution that the third film starts to drift and is not as engaging as the first two. Allegedly, it has to do with the fact Jaa was moving towards a sabbatical from film that was driven by religious motives and the film may have been reflective of that transition for Jaa. Having said that, the films are still worth watching as the the first two give a glimpse into various martial arts styles outside of Jaa's native Thai training.

The Ong Bak trilogy is a series that declines in quality with each passing film. The first one is easily the best of the trilogy. The second is one is average, and the third not so great. However, they all have some very impressive fight scenes by Tony Jaa and at $20 bucks for the trilogy it is a very reasonable price. These releases have been out for a while so if you already have them, no need to upgrade to the trilogy as they are the same movies just put in a cheap cardboard case.

These movies has some of the best fight scenes that I've ever seen!!! Very realistic and you can actually see them getting punched & kicked in the face.....not like American action flicks. They are dubbed over in English so you don't have to worry about reading the captions. Very happy with this purchase....Highly recommended for any Martial Arts or action junkie like myself!!!

The first Ong Bak movie is great, however the 2nd two movies were confusing because it seems the time period changes and just not as good as the first. I am the type of person to always buy a full series though, so I bought all of them.

Tony Jaa!!! I was planning to purchase Ong Bak on Blu-ray, but every store I went to either didn't have it or the price was too expensive. I was browsing through the Blu-ray movies at Best Buy and came across the entire trilogy for an amazing price! All three movies are amazing! The quality is amazing! Tony Jaa is amazing!

This is one of my favorite Martial Art movies of all time and sparked my interest in learning more about Muay Thai. This movie is all about the action, the story is okay but is more of a cultural difference which can be said about Tony Jaa's other movie The Protector. I would recommend this to any Martial Arts movie fan.

The 4 stars are because the action sequences are hard hitting and terrific. The story is nothing new. The acting is sometimes painful. But you don't watch these movies for Oscar performances. On the fight front, these films are winners. A great value.

I purchased this series because I remembered how much I liked the original when I first saw it years ago. It was still filled with great action and fighting scenes, however the plot and acting wasn't really all that great. To be honest, that isn't why people watch these types of movies. They watch them to see awesome action and fight sequences without having to think too much about it. If you like action movies, get this set. If you don't like action movies, chances are you know someone who does so get them this set:)

I purchased the ongbak trilogy on blu-ray for 2 reasons: first, it's an awesome set finally available on blu-ray...now I can watch kick (bleep) scenes with high quality in the comfort of my home...and second, how can you beat that price?
