Great images/Easy to use

An Excellent choice for a first time purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We decided to move from a 42" Sony Bravia to the projection theater after some research and consideration, including screen and mounting options. We could not be happier with this purchase, so far. It is quiet enough to not be heard during use and just enough to hear when there is nothing playing. We purchased the 3-D glasses on Amazon (best prices for the injector and 3 pair of glasses). The 3-D experience is incredible on a 100" screen. We moved the Sony to the upstairs living room...

better than I ever thought it could be, awesome.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This projector works just as good as one that's thousands of dollars. It works out to be the price of a 55" smart TV without the smart part but I have a 60"-300" TV that I can watch in any light, it awesome. I highly recommend this projector, I would not spend the money on a very expensive one, there's no need this one is awesome. If you think you'll get one of those projectors that are around $50-$250 don't there not worth it, spend the couple of hundred more & get this or the next one down of this brand I think it's about $60-$80 cheaper but I'd get this one. The cheaper ones will only work in complete darkness and then there not that good, this one is like watching any 1080 led TV & I can watch in any light and at almost 300", it's like I have a move theatre in my living room that I watch regular TV on.

Terrific Projector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to update my basement projector system and was looking to stay in the lower range projector, but get the best picture. The Optima projector have a lot of great reviews. Pros – the screen is as bright as the reviews talk about! Even with lights on in my basement it provides a good picture. I currently do not even have a screen, I am only projecting on my wall. I have the projector at a bout 14 feet, and my screen diagonally is 147 inches! Some people complained about the volume of the fan. I have had no issues. Works great for my sonsvideo games, PS four. No lead time. Very pleased with this projector, especially in the price range.

Good projector for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never owned a projector before, but some of my friends have them. When I saw the Optoma HD26 on sale for $599, I decided to bite the bullet. The projector looks good considering it's a $599 projector. It's a great first projector. Just don't expect it to look like your LED TV. It's labeled as a home 'video' projector. The more upscale projectors are called home 'cinema' projectors (expect to spend > $1500). But it is tops in it's class, especially for the $599 that I got it for. I guess I was expecting more because my friend has a dedicated theater room and a Panasonic AE8000, which is a home cinema projector. I have since replaced the HD26 with a Sony HW40ES. You really can't compare a $599 projector to a $2500 projector. I'm not. Just saying that there is a huge difference in the price, and a huge difference in the picture. The HD26 is probably the best projector for it's class. I just wanted something better, of course it came with a lot higher price tag...

Great value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching several models and features, found this projector fits all the requirements for outdoor movie viewing. The Optima 10W built in speakers far exceeded our expectations. Picture quality rivals that of a flat screen. While we have not used the 3D feature, really impressed with the 2D clarity of picture brightness. Only con would be the auto adjustment. Still need to adjust the legs and add a couple of mags under one to level it out, but again we are using this as backyard movie viewing. Very happy with purchase considering the price.

great home cinema projector for the beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading several reviews I was hesitant to purchase this projector. Most of the reviews I read complained about the extremely loud fan noise. After hooking this projector up and watching several movies at low volume. I'm extremely pleased. there is little to no fan noise, my considerably more expensive Epson that this replaced was 10 times louder then this unit. Can not comment on the 3d capability for I've yet to try it. But overall picture quality is great.

Great Purchase..NOT dissapointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been considering purchasing a projector for the last few months and finally pulled the trigger on this one, the Optoma 1080P. I was NOT disappointed. Set up was easy, picture is great, even with the lights on. The built in speaker was was acceptable for normal viewing. (no deep bass or clear highs but it's a 10w speaker, what do you expect?!) I paired this with an outdoor speaker and a Chromcast (both sold separately) and have an instant Portable theater for less than $1000. We've moved it from our family room for life size March Madness action and a little gaming on the xBox to our living room for a smaller setting to watch Netflix and then to the outdoor patio for a 'drive in' type movie setting. The picture is clear and crisp in all three settings. I foresee a lot of 'drive in' movies this summer.

Great Projector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a projector for presentations that was bright enough for situations where the lights could not be turned down. While searching for the brightest my Best Buy Rep showed me this one. While it is designed as a home theatre projector, the price was better than any others that are just as bright! Great product that works well for me!

Great price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just hooked this up which was very simple to do. I am having problems with making the picture fit the screen. Lights do have to be on the dim side. Seem like it gets hot pretty quickly. Overall I'm very happy with the projector.

Good Projector for Gaming & Movies
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the projector in order to replace the one that was already in the home and chose the OPTOMA considering it was the same brand. It works really well and was quite easy to mount to the ceiling bracket. The instructions were easy to follow for setup. The picture is great and clear on the Game System, TV and movies. I was initially worried during initial operation because I thought it was running too hot yet as we continued operation, which is daily, the temp it normal for the bulb operation.

Wonderful Quality Projector
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this projector, the hd is amazing, we play it on just a white sheet right now and you can't even tell! The screen is huge and fully adjustable. We got a Samsung sound system to go with it so we haven't ever needed to use the built in speaker. Have not yet tried out the 3D but can't wait to. This unit does not disappoint!

awesome projector for the money!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a decently priced projector that would work in light and dark for my man cave. This has a great picture, and with the best buy price match got it for a good deal.

Excellent value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Images are best when the room is dark of course, but are bright even with lights on. The fan does make a little bit of noise, but other than that, this is a great projector especially for the price.

Great buy and can't beat the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this after doing some exhaustive research. Compares very closely to the BenQ 1070 but is suppose to have a few better features and be more quiet. I can definitely say that when paired with an Elite screen, this bad boy looks great. I even had some light coming into the room and could clearly watch a movie and it was super quiet. Great purchase.

Best Projector In Its Class
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this projector in 2014 the day it came out with $50 Amazon gift card rebate, and it surpassed my expectations considering there's no reviews to go by, but only the specs of 3200 lumens, DLP, 3D, 25,000:1 contrast ratio. The image quality is good, but with a little calibration, it's even better. No flat panel can compare to the immersion of a 120" screen with a matching Dolby Atmos surround sound system. It's better than watching at a theater. Even today, the picture is still unbelievable.

Afordable, great quality and easy to install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This projector is among the top one (if not the best) in its rice range. The image quality is great. It works very well for projecting movies or playing video games. No need to buy a screen, I am projecting directly on the wall and have no complaints.
