I haven’t had this particular phone case for long but it’s certainly not my first OtterBox case. It seems to me, however, that they’ve improved since my last one in terms of the screen protection and how much it would interfere with your touchscreen! I’m barely touching my screen (through the protection of the case, obviously) and I have absolutely no trouble! I haven’t dropped the iPhone 8 Plus that this case is protecting and, for obvious reasons, I have NO intention of attempting to do so simply to test exactly how much protection this case actually provides in that particular aspect but...should such an incident happen by accident at some point in the future I will either update this review, if that’s possible, or write a new one if necessary. I don’t expect that OtterBox would have improved their touchscreen performance and downgraded the performance of the physical protection of their cases, though, so I’m guessing that I’ll find it to be adequate or improved from past products. As long as I don’t smash my phone, screen first, into the corner of a table, I’m thinking this should hold up just perfectly. LOL

I had an Otterbox Defender for my iPhone 5s and loved it. Bought this when I upgraded to a 7 Plus and it's just makes the phone too big. Might have been able to live with it because I really want the protection for my phone, but Otterbox changed the direction the lightning port cover opens and it's a real pain to hold the cover open and plug my phone in. Also, the hole for the ringer/vibrate switch is too small. I could absolutely not get to it. Returned it and bought an Otterbox Symmetry and a screen protector.

Highly recommended if you want your iPhone 8 plus protected and to stop the worrying of accidental damage to the phone.

After destroying one phone because he wouldnt leave the case on, my son cant take this one off without some real effort

This case is a lot stronger than my other one I had, feels like it will really protect phone if I accidentally drop it.

This is a fantastic case and it works great for protecting my new iPhone 8 plus! One thing that I wished I had known was that this is just an IPhone 7 Plus case with a new printed out sticker.

A little on the bulky side compared to others out there. But it’s worth it to protect your phone. I’m very careless and always dropping my phone and I never had one break on me while in this case. I’ve been using a otter box defender series since my iPhone 4 and I would not change. Very satisfied with this.

I’ve always bought an Otterbox for every phone I’ve purchased. It’s a great case, despite its increase in the bulk of the phone. I’ve dropped it off of a 15 foot extension ladder and watched it bounce little a super ball with no damage to the phone. I think it exceeds the manufacturer’s guarantees.

Great product, protects well. I’ve had a Defender in every iPhone I’ve ever owned and wouldn’t use any other case.

Great product has save the phone once or twice. So far the phone is alive and cover intact it’s a great product.

Otter Boxes are the best protection for all cell phones and they’ve been protecting all of my phones for years!

I love otter boxes they may be a little bulky but it keeps my phone safe and have yet to break a phone..

The defender series can withstand a lot of abuse. I'm hard on my phones and this definitely protects it.
