This is my third otterbox defender. It is money well spent. Previous two phones were dropped many times, and never any damage to the phones.

This case has certainly proved its worth and price! I've dropped my phone a couple times already and it hasn't done anything to the ohone!

I have had the otterbox defender series for every phone I have had since the iPhone 4s. Up until now, I had been highly impressed with the case. My two previous phone had been dropped multiple times and banged up over the years that I had them, yet they never sustained any damage. I purchased this case less than a month ago about a week or two after I purchased my new Galaxy S7 (on Black Friday). I have the same issue as others with debris getting under screen protector, which isn't a big deal as I can remove the case and clean it every so often. However, when I removed my case today to clean my screen I noticed that the entire back of my new S7 is shattered. I have never broken phone since the first smart phone I purchased and I am highly disappointed that this phone is BRAND NEW and already broken. I will be purchasing a new case from a different company that will hopefully protect my phone better. The worst part about this is that I have not dropped my phone at all during the time that I have had it. The glass shards are inside the case so I know that the case was on the phone when it shattered. It makes me wonder how many others will end up with shattered phones from this case.

Purchased new in store. After beltclip holder broke, apparently for the second time I figured out it was not new and had been repaired from a previous break.

Seriously its an otterbox put your phone in and drop it as much as you want it will survive.

Has kept my wife's S7 completely secure, looks brand new when it's out of the case.

This makes the phone next to impossible to break, a must for any physical mover!

I previously was the owner of an Otterbox Defender for both a Galaxy S2 and S5. No issues with those cases, but the build quality was atrocious on the S7 case. Typing was nearly impossible and I had to remove the case twice in a 4 day period to remove hair that got under the screen protector. Switched to Lifeproof cases and will never look back.

The case has kept the phone secure and kept it from breaking through any drops. I love the otterbox defender usually, on my iPhone it's perfect. But on the S7 the plastic screen cover is loose and makes it very hard to use. Will be looking into purchasing a different case because of the screen issue.

I initially bought one of these Defender cases when I bought my Galaxy S7 phone at a verizon store. It appeared to be the same great case as the two units I used for my LG G4 and one used on a Galaxy S4. However, my enthusiasm quickly faded when I realized that the fit of the screen protector was not flush with the phone's screen. The resulting fit issue caused decreased screen sensitivity and persistent missed taps. I also did not like the unpleasant sensation of actually feeling the screen protector moving with each input. Another issue I have with the case is the sides of the frame make it difficult to swipe down on the top menu of the phone. I read about people who removed the screen protector with success on past otterboxes. I tried this method and it was not a satisfactory solution. I ended up with a worse fit between the top frame and the back section of the inner case. I contacted Otterbox about this via online form a week ago, but have not received a reply. Since then, I read a a review stating that the fit issue is not the same with all units. Hoping that this was true, I foolishly bought another Otterbox Defender from Best Buy today. I was disappointed to find that this case has the same issues. It is difficult for me to understand how this case can have so many good reviews. Perhaps the latest units have had a slip in QC. This is a premium priced case and should not have worse quality than the $15 cases you can get on other sites.

It's not as tight on the 7 as it wad on the 5. Do when it drops your glass breaks

My son just got this for x-mas for his brand new Samsung Galaxy s7. He dropped it on the floor in the house and now his phone will not work at all. I would not recommend this case. It is advertised for military standard drop protection did not do the job. I have emailed OtterBox 2 times so far and have not heard a thing from them.
