After purchasing the IPhone Xs Max, finding a good case was my first priority. There were some options from other manufacturers, but my first instinct was to check with Otterbox to see what’s available since I have purchased their products before. Installation of the case was somewhat difficult. This case isn’t your run-of-the-mill silicone case. It is tougher and much more stiff. I installed the phone starting at the bottom first, working to the top. At first, I didn’t think it was going to fit. After struggling to force it into the case, it finally snapped into place. I was a little scared the phone was either going to crack from the pressure, or fly out of my hands from using so much force. Perhaps soaking the case in hot water may soften the case enough to aid in installation. Now that the case is on, I can’t be happier! This is a high quality case that offers great protection. I haven’t dropped the phone yet but my feeling is that this case will definitely offer above average protection. I paired this case with a ZAGG Invisibleshield HD Glass which is also great. The fit and feel of the phone with the case on is perfect for me and I’m definitely happy with my purchase.

My wife seems to love the case so far. A case that seems to blend style with functionality at otterboxs more affordable pricing. She has it paired with a zagg glass screen protector and she has no worries of the 1200 dollar iPhones we’ll being. Almost could say it makes a person fearless. Almost...

I’ve been a long time user of Otterbox. All my smart phones hav3 had Otterbox cases. On the iPhone this case looks and feels amazing. I love it. It’s also see though so it adds a nice see though protection option.

I went in tonight to get a rear protector for my IPhone XS Max! This otter box was quite expensive but it comes with a lifetime warranty. This isn’t my first perchase nor last! A+

Keeps my phone scratch free. I’ve thrown my regular iPhone X with the same case for that phone and it bounced across the room and into a wall with not a scratch or ding on it

First off, the case has an incredible form factor. I’ve been a faithful Otterbox owner since the iPhone 3 and have owned the Defender, Commuter, etc and the Symmetry strikes the right balance of form and functionality. Now the downside...I ordered a clear, Symmetry IphoneXS MAX case and when I pulled it from the box the case had multiple scratches on the inside and looked like a returned case. I immediately returned it at the service counter and the rep told me they had 4 others in stock to choose from. To my surprise EVERY clear case on their shelf when held up into the light looked like it had been heavily used already. I needed a case so I bit the bullet and bought the best of the 5 clear cases they had on hand. Sadly, even that case looked used. For a $50 case it should look brand new and scratch free! Next go around, I suppose I will simply have to purchase a tried and true black case. Attached is a pic of my phone immediately after putting the case on and the scratches are clear as day! I give the form factor a 5 star, but can only rate this experience a 1 star due to being VERY unhappy with spending $50 on a case that looks worn out right out of the box!

I had Otterboxes in the past which I knew to be the ultimate protection but the trade off was a really bulky phone in a few matte colors. Thankfully they have really improved the design where the phone is well protected yet doesn’t cover up the phone design. - Which is ideal when the phone cost over 1k :) I was looking for a case that was protective but would be clear-ish so I could see the rose gold of my iPhone XS Max. This case met all of my requirements and even looks good on the phone. I got the clear with sparkles so it goes great with the rose gold. Highly recommended!

This is my first Otterbox case. I always thought they were bulky and ugly. I always use clear cases. My last other brand clear case did not protect as well as I would have liked so I thought I would try the Otterbox clear case. Bestbuy didn't have this case in clear so I pick up the stardust one just so I would have a case when my iPhone arrived. I love it! It is not only BEAUTIFUL with the gold iPhone back, but is has a great grip, slides in my pocket without a problem and looks like it will offer great all around protection to the screen and rest of the iPhone. This is the case I will buy for now on as long as Otterbox makes them. It is hard to capture how pretty the caser is in a picture, but I tried.

Usually I don’t worry with reviews but I decided to do this because overall this is a very well protective case and I don’t worry about my phone if there would be an accidental drop and also the button function is great . But, the thing I have an issue with is the fact that I’ve only had this case for exactly a week today and it already has terrible amount of scratches. When I started looking for a case I wasn’t worried with the fact that there was a possibility for it to scratch but now I’m realizing that IT DRIVES ME CRAZY! Like I said I normally wouldn’t worry with reviews but $50 is a lot of money to have so many scratches in just a week, I do also want to toss in that I am very gentle and protective of my phone and if I was rough with my phone / case I would understand the scratching but that is not the case. Overall I would recommend to a friend because of how well it protects but I would definitely mention the scratching issue.

The Symmetry clear is excellent protection. Otterbox has made big improvements on this model. The raised edges are a rubbery texture that extends to the grip so the phone doesn’t fall out of your hands. The buttons are where you'll find the largest improvement, there extra clicky and responsive, something OtterBox never did well before this. The back of the case is crystal clear and and scratch resistant, the overall look and feel is premium. Clear cases are tricky they turn yellow and scratch up,but this case doesn’t show those characteristics. My clear case of choice used to be the Speck presidio clear, while the case kept my phone safe in a fall, it didn’t feel as premium in my hand as the OtterBox symmetry clear . Overall the symmetry series is one of the best cases available.

Great simple cover to completely protect your iPhone ex. Very easy to install and is not as bulky as his big sister counterpart. I enjoy as much protection as the bulkier cover while still being able to secrete is in the front or rear pant pocket.

I was nervous getting this case considering I have an xs max. I was using the life proof slam, but loved the symmetry colors. I do have a glass protector on, but even that has been protected. I’ve dropped this phone flat face down from just over 4.5 ft multiple times, on concrete, on metal edges (Coming into the house slanted metal looking thing), on tile, etc. Even sometimes with a little speed ( when I run into something and it gets whipped out of my hand). Not a scratch on the glass protector. Love it, this case is definitely an otterbox case deserving of its name. I do also have a PopSockets so I can’t comment on grip/slickness

I bought this for my iPhone X’s plus and fits perfectly. Pretty but not bulky. I’m not too worry of my phone dropping on the floor but definitely this version isn’t as textile as defense version.

I stopped carrying Otterbox cases a few years back because they offer protection but were so bulky. The symmetry cases over protection and are quite stylish which is a major plus!!!

Great looking case that doesn’t feel bulky in your pocket, while also protecting my iPhone. I have dropped my iPhone on accident a few times and nothing more than a slight scratch on the case. I’d rather have a slight scratch on my case than a cracked screen iPhone.

This is the second case I've purchased and have had great luck with this product. Easy to install, not too bulky, and good protection.

The best case I have ever had! Great protection. Clear as advertised. Easy to put on and off! Does not easily get scracthed!

It fits tight, it’s clear, hopefully won’t turn yellow or corrode the phone. Seems to be quality made. Protects well.
