The Owlet - Dream Duo (Gen 3) FDA-Cleared, All-in-One Smart Baby Monitor is a Godsend to parents, grandparents, and childcare providers. Sudden infant death syndrome or other issues that can be life and death of children until their toddlerhood have been a concern for decades. The Owlet is recognized throughout the children's community as a device that is highly recommended for purchase. In my opinion, the peace of mind and comfort that it allows is beyond what any parent can express. So, what is included in the box-their trademark HD real-time camera with wall-mounting kit, the Sock® Sensor, 4 Fabric Socks that fit babies from 1-18 months, starting with a minimum weight of 6 pounds until they reach 30 pounds, and a wireless charging base station. The sock is made of soft fabric and will grow with the baby as their foot grows from newborn to 18 months. The camera allows parents or caregivers to watch the child as they sleep, giving them the peace of mind and comfort they need for a good night's rest and to function competently. The quality of the camera, in real time, is very good and allows two-way use by the parents and while I do not know much about hacking, is secure from outside voyeurs because the video transmission is encrypted. The Owlet app is available in both the Google and Apple app store, so do not worry about the type of smartphone that either you or your spouse/partner has. The app is fairly intuitive, and the setup of the camera can take a couple of times, but the video/audio is very good and provides the baby's health metrics, the environment that they are sleeping in, and insight into their sleeping patterns. Father and mother will download the app on their phones, and each will have the child’s heart rate and oxygen levels coming to them as long as the sock is correctly placed on the child’s foot. Thankfully, it has not been our experience that anything irregular has been monitored, but the caregiver would receive alerts by light and sound when the baby's readings were to be outside the safe range. As previously mentioned, in addition to the vitals, the dongle for the camera measures the temperature in the room as well as the humidity. It is worth your time to go investigate all that the app can do in coordination with the equipment. The app can be a little glitchy, but restarting the app fixes that. Another issue that we have run into is that you may need to randomly unplug the base station and plug it back in to get signal back to the Owlet sock. The Owlet Gen 3 system has very few flaws; it brings parents, grandparents, or any caregiver using it peace of mind, is FDA approved for this function, and is worth purchasing.

Being first time parents I was in the market for a baby monitoring system. I decided to try this one out as it was cheaper than some of the other products that we have been looking at. Unfortunately, we have been experiencing some issues with this device that we didnt expect for such a high price item. Setup of the Owlet was very easy and was very impressed with all it comes with within the package. It was a very nice touch to have sleeves to hide the cable and good screws. The app was easy to download / install and register. I do like having all the features without requiring a subscription. However the biggest issue if you are not in the app for a while it requires you to re-sign on and you loose camera connection which leads me to the next issue. Connectivity has been an issue with the camera and the sock. I am believe it has something to do with not always having the app running in the background. On my andriod if I do not have the app running all the time like being in the camera it will disconnect upon launching the app. Another issue is the distance of the sock monitor. I do with it had greater range for when needing to carry the baby into another area of diaper change / feeding. As for features, I really love the features the owlet has! To be able to keep an eye on the temporature , o2 levels and room is great. We are always worried if its too hot , too cold and if baby is warm. With the owlet sock it provides us all the readings so we are able to rest in peace. Overall this has a ton of great features without a subscription, however the disconnect issues with the camera / sock becomes a struggle at times.

As a newer parent, peace of mind at night is priceless, and the 3rd Gen Owlet Dream Duo delivers exactly that. The set includes the Dream Sock, HD camera, and base station which were all neatly packaged and surprisingly compact in a small box. Setup was quick and intuitive through the Owlet app, with clear on-screen prompts guiding each step. I did have to temporarily adjust my dual band mesh Wi-Fi network from 2.4+5Ghz to only 2.4Ghz for device onboarding, which was easy enough. The Dream Sock feels soft and secure, with multiple sizes included so it is futureproofed right out of the box. My kid is an expert on kicking socks off, and this one stayed on through the night no problem. It tracks heart rate, oxygen level, and sleep quality, then syncs the data to the app in real time. I love being able to see not only live vitals but also trends like sleep cycles and movement history. It’s more informative than a standard baby monitor and helps you understand your baby’s sleep patterns over time. The camera is really solid: clear 1080p video with night vision, two-way audio, and room condition tracking for temperature and humidity. The app interface feels modern and organized, and the alerts are customizable so you’re only notified when it matters. I also appreciated the small details, like the included wall-mount kit with cord covers that keep things tidy and safe from busy baby hands. During testing, notifications were prompt and reliable. The system alerts you if the sock loses connection, slips off, or detects irregular readings, providing reassurance without being too overwhelming. I wish I had this product when my baby was a newborn as it would have spared me countless anxious wake-ups just to check that he was still breathing. Overall, the Owlet Dream Duo system combines advanced health tracking, excellent video quality, and smart design into one of the most reassuring baby monitoring systems available. It is definitely a worthwhile investment for parents who appreciate biometric data and peace of mind.

So this combo, the dream duo camera and sock, is really really good. But it does have a flaw that after emails to support, and replacement cameras, can’t seem to be fixed yet. I will get into that later. When you first open the box, you are greeted by a nice clean display of both devices, along with the base station. All the devices are quality, feel hefty, and made well. I did however, immediately feel overwhelmed once you lift out this top display tray with the devices. Behind this, is 3-4 other smaller cardboard boxes, that each have their own pieces inside. One has different cords. 1 cord for the camera, another power cord for the base station. Then there are 2 usb power blocks. Then you have multiple cord hider plastic pieces. These are used to cover the camera power cable when you mount it in the wall. You have some straight pieces and some curved angle pieces. Another box has the different socks for the foot sock. You have a small and large for right feet, and then a small and large for a left foot. While it’s nice to have all these options and pieces, it’s just ALOT of stuff to get through. The devices themselves work great. It was easy to download and install the Owlet app, setup an account and get both devices connected. The sock is great, no issues there. It goes on the babies foot nicely, and through the app you can customize the notifications you want. It tracks pulse rate, oxygen level, movement, etc. You can set the sensitivity levels as well which is a nice feature. The base station charges the sock, and you out the base station somewhere close to you. We put it in our bedroom. If there is an issue, the base station gives off alert sounds and also flashes different colors depending on the alert. The app tells you what each color means so you know what to worry about if it goes off. Luckily, while testing this out, it has only gone off once and that was because the sock itself had come loose in our babies own sock, which made it not register readings correctly. The camera, is where the issue comes up. It was easy to mount, get connected, etc. and through the app it’s nice to be able to monitor your baby whenever, wherever. Daytime video quality is awesome, and night vision quality on its own is awesome. BUT, I had a very big issue which plagues me still. In the room you have this setup in, when natural daytime transitions to nighttime, the camera audibly clicks, switching to night vision, and when it does this, the night vision video becomes washed out. I am attaching pictures. Every single night, the same issue happens. The ONLY way for me to fix this, is once it switches over to night vision, I have to manually unplug the camera, then plug it back in. Once it boots back up, video quality is perfect. Again, attaching a picture so you can see. Now I thought maybe this was a user error even though i’m pretty tech savvy, and i did hours of research before giving up and contacting Owlet customer service. After providing information and trying what they suggested to no avail, they said it was a camera issue and sent me a replacement free of charge. I figured that would solve all the issues and it was just a one off. Unfortunately when I got the new one, the same issues are happening at night. So I reached back out to customer support, and after another email back and forth, I was told it’s something that will be fixed in future software updates to the app. So something to be aware of if anyone else is having this same issue. Overall, yes I am disappointed with needing to manually unplug and replug the camera to get a clear picture, but it does still work, even with a washed out night vison picture. The sock itself, which is why we got this product for our baby, is a great product and provides much needed comfort and security with our baby, knowing she is monitored by this. I know this should never replace actual parenting, and you should still check in on your bay while using this, but it is a great secondary device. I am taking 1 star off due to the camera issues.

I have had this brand before. I have known other friends and family who agree that this brand is tried and true. So I felt very comfortable with going with this model. Since my baby is a newborn the fit is slightly too big at the moment, but he is slowly growing into it. The idea is for me to use this 100% after six months. The fit I heard is super uncomfortable while they are awake. So my plan is to put it on while he is asleep to monitor his sleeping. The app is super easy to maneuver and once it is uploaded and on and super functional, I turn on all of my notifications and it’s just a matter of keeping my phone on me to stay notified. I really enjoy checking in with an app to see heart rate and other items for monitoring. It got a lot of poop and throw up on it so Cleaning isn’t the easiest but after a while, I managed to spray a little Scotchgard on it to make it easier to get clean. Overall, again, I really like this brand and I really trust the functions of this monitoring system for my baby.

The Owlet Dream Duo (Gen 3) All-in-One Smart Baby Monitoring w/Sock & 2K HD Cam is a newborn parent's dream - to have help each night monitoring the baby is an incredible thing. I got this to help reduce the amount of worry I feel due to my sleeping grand baby. Yes, I worry when the kids drop him off for an overnight visit with Grandma. I simply don't have the hearing nor the vision I used to have, but I want to take the best care of him that I can. That is why I got this duo of the Owlet Dream Sock and 2K HD Dream Sight camera. And it is working!! With both the camera and the sock, I am able to monitor my grand baby while he is asleep via the Owlet Dream App. I can easily check on his movement - is he wiggling around? Is the room too hot or too cold, what is his pulse? And I can check in on him right from the Owlet app on my phone with the camera for video and the sock for health information. With the camera, I can see live video or recorded events, or just check in on him. The 2K HD video is extremely good with this and I am able to watch him sleep or check in on him when he is crying or look at him for any reason. If the app notifies me there are sounds coming from his room, I am able to immediately look at video, so this also works as a sort of security camera for me. To me, the sock provides bonus information, because I wouldn't normally check on his oxygen level, pulse rate and things like that, but if I can get it, then why not? Every bit of info helps me feel that he is safe in my care. The Owlet Dream App provides a lot of good information via the sock and camera, for free. For more detailed information - such as patterns of sleep, there is a subscription and for that there is a fee. There is a 7 day free trial, so you can see for yourself if the additional information is something you want. One of the things you will be able to see if you do use their Owlet360 subscription, is that they are somehow able to give you a look at "predictive sleep tracking" - has something changed that I should know? Is it time for baby to go down for a nap? They do give you 4 socks - 2 sizes for each foot so as they grow you can continue to use the sock up until they are about 30 pounds. The Base Station is where you will charge the sock and it also provides you with sounds and lights to notify you of any issues. They also provide cable guard sleeves so you can install the camera and cover the wires so baby can't get tangled up. You can place the camera on a flat surface or mount it where you can get the best view. They even provide a wall-mounting kit. This Owlet Dream Duo (Gen 3) All-in-One Smart Baby Monitoring w/Sock & 2K HD Cam has so much information that it can provide and I want that information. I can't count how many times it has already kept me from having to get out of bed to check on him. I can't say it provides peace of mind, because I don't want to totally rely on this, but it sure helps! I would definitely recommend this especially for first time parents or grandparents who could use just a little help.

My wife and I welcomed our first child in mid September 2025, and we were excited for all the new experiences that came along with it. Having heard about the first two generations of the Owlet Dream Sock, I was happy to try out the 3rd generation now that it lined up perfectly with our timeline. The sock itself is incredibly soft and very easy to put on. My wife sometimes struggled with getting it on tight enough because she was worried it was too tight, but it really needs to fit snug so the sensors have good contact with the skin. The kit comes with two sizes; our little guy wore Size 1 up to 11 lbs for about a week before transitioning to Size 2, which should last until he hits about 30 lbs. Connecting the sock and the base station was simple. Following the instructions inside the app made the whole process a breeze. The initial setup took quite a while, but it was informative and meaningful, which helped us understand what all the alerts mean when they happen. The connection between the sock and the base station is not the greatest. I highly recommend placing the base station in the same room as the sock so they are always in a good connection zone. Otherwise, you may experience frequent alerts and beeping from the base station and the app due to connection issues. The reliable data the Owlet Dream Duo provides is perfect for new parents like us. We can view his pulse rate, oxygen levels, total sleep, and total wakings. It tracks the type of sleep (deep or light) and even tells us if he's peaceful or wiggling. When paired with the camera, it also adds room temperature, noise levels, and humidity readings. I decided to subscribe to Owlet360, which sends a morning report and gives tips and advice based on his sleep patterns throughout the night. Ultimately, this data provides the peace of mind you need as a new parent. When you're worried if he's sleeping comfortably or if he's still breathing because SIDS is definitely a fear every new parent has and this sock helps relieve some of that stress and worry. It even shows when he's starting to go from peaceful to wiggling, allowing us to intervene and ensure he stays asleep. Getting all this reliable sleep data is great for recognizing good and bad patterns, especially so we don't get him overtired and make it harder for him to fall asleep. It’s also incredibly helpful at his doctor visits when we can share the data with his pediatrician for extra insight. Overall, this little sock gives my wife and me the comfort to rest soundly, knowing our little guy is comfortable and safe, too.

App Issues: The Owlet App only asks you to turn your Bluetooth on, but I also needed to turn on my Location and wi-fi to get the devices connected. For Android, when the app prompts you to enable location, it takes you to your phone's security & privacy page, so you still have to back out of the app to manually turn on the location for the connections to work. To connect the sock properly, you need to join your phone’s wi-fi to the built-in sock base's wi-fi for the connection to occur properly. I didn’t see any connection attempts over Bluetooth, so I do not know why the App asks you to turn Bluetooth on to connect. For the camera it took me close to 3 days of troubleshooting to get it connected to the Owlet App. I reached out to Owlet support, and they did respond with some suggestions to try but in the meantime, I did enough camera resets, phone reboots, and uninstalling/reinstalling the app enough times that it finally connected. After a bunch of OC 2 and one OC 18 error messages. When you need to join the camera to your wi-fi network, the app requires you to type in the name of your network. While the sock connection attempt just brings up the networks in range for you to select connect to. Owlet support should try to replicate the sock base and camera connection processes so they are similar. Device Issues: Gaps in sock monitoring & base distance problems. The first night we used the sock, we had the base located about 45ft away from our baby, even though the packaging says that the range of the base to the sock is 100 ft. After 5 hours of monitoring, the base started going off, and the app showed that the sock was disconnected from the app. We then left the base about 7ft away from our baby for the rest of testing. The second night we had the sock on, I had another 1 hour gap in monitoring, even though the base was much closer to the sock. After contacting their support with the base connection issue that I mentioned above, I was able to get the base reconnected in time for the sleep monitor to function on night 3 without any issues. For the camera, there is no way to shut it off, either on the device or in the app. If you want to turn the camera off when not needed, you will need to unplug it or put it on a controlled outlet. The kit does include raceway to secure your camera to a wall or stationary object and conceal the power wire, but for my testing I did not permanently install the camera so I could move it around within the room. Overall: When the sock and camera work and communicate with app properly, this cold be a five star product, but as it stands some improvements need to be made to the App/Setup process and the base needs to have less drop outs in monitoring. On the bright side, our baby didn't seem to mind the sock being on him while he slept any of the nights.

Can't wait to use this when I give birth! It already is helping with the stress of keeping baby healthy just knowing i have it.

I tested it on both iOS and Android, and the app experience was surprisingly smooth on both platforms. The dashboard gives you a live view of your baby with real-time stats — heart rate, oxygen level, and sleep trends — all neatly organized. The new Dream Duo (3rd Gen) brings together the smart sock monitor and a video camera in one integrated system designed to give parents a deeper sense of reassurance about their baby’s sleep and health. It includes the “Dream Sock” foot-sensor that tracks live pulse rate and oxygen levels and sleep trends while the baby sleeps. I own the first gen of the Dream sock Duo and this 3rd generation version of the Dream Duo. When I used the Gen 1 we could not get live readings from the sock due to lack of FDA clearance. It appears that the Dream Sock now has FDA clearance and with that comes live readings! The biggest change between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 is the included camera. The Gen 3 camera is 2k, 130 degree field of view, night vision, a temperature sensor, and a humidity sensor. The app experience allows is largely the same and offers live video streaming, health alerts if the sock senses the baby’s oxygen or pulse drop outside preset safe zones. The sock offers sleep insights and let’s you know when your baby will most likely need another nap. For us we care about the heart monitoring and the oxygen levels. For other parents this amount of data causes anxiety, but for me I like to wake up to a little hockey puck sized base station that is lit up green, which tells me the baby’s heart is still beating and everything is good. Now, you can get false positives like we had the other night when the baby kicked of the sock and we were scared awake by a red light on the base station accompanied with alerting chirps. The base station color scheme I am talking about comes into play to let you know if baby is good (green), sock is having trouble getting readings (yellow), blue (out of range), Lavendar (baby might be uncomfortable go check), RED (go check on baby NOW). I have been criticized by my parents for having such a device on my newborn, but my fear of waking up to an unresponsive baby/Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) outweighs those criticisms. I am able to sleep much better knowing that I will be alerted if the Dream Sock is unable to get readings or if something bad has happened which will enable me to obtain medical assistance ASAP. One issue I had is with the Dream Sight Camera, I had to disable my mesh network wifi and place it into legacy mode in order for the camera to connect to 2.4ghz and then re-enable my mesh network. Not the plug and play I was hoping for, but fortunately it didn’t take me too long to trouble shoot.

I've used this for a couple of weeks and it's been great. It helps us sleep more soundly knowing if anything is not ok with our little one we'll be alerted immediately. This sock fits nicely and is very easy to put on and take off. It must be comfortable because it has not changed the little one's sleeping pattern at all. After the first couple nights they actually started asking for it. We like the sock most of all for when they're sick. My biggest concern is when they're all stuffed up that they'll breath clearly enough to get a good nights sleep. This sock helps us know they're sleeping well by showing their blood O2 levels and giving us a breakdown of their night when they're sleeping deeply or light. The camera works well. My only 2 gripes with it are it doesn't have a seperate monitor so you're supposed to used you phone. The picture is therefore very clear, but it's not always convenient to have to pull it up on your phone. The second gripe is there is a bright blue light on the front of the camera that is so bright is actually illuminates the little one. I couldn't find a way to turn it off so we covered it with tape, but it seems like an interesting choice to put that bright of a light on the front of the camera Overall I would highly recommend this for anyone who isn't sleeping well because they're worried, or anyone who wants more data on how they're baby is sleeping. It works well and the 'alarms' from the base unit are loud enough they'll definitely wake you up. I know it's worth it to me to sleep better knowing they're sleeping soundly.

The Owlet Dream Duo Baby Monitor is a sophisticated device that packs in a lot of great features for a biometric and monitoring setup. As a new father to a 6-week baby boy, this has helped my wife and I get a lot of peace of mind (and sleep) back in our lives. The package the setup comes in is compact and sleek, making it easy to store away in a closet in case you want to move on from it after your child grows up or want to switch to the latest model. On the outside, it quickly hits on the key metrics you'd want from a baby monitor / biometric package, like oxygen, room temp, pulse rate, and so forth. Setting up the camera and sock are really easy to set up. It is no different than setting up any other piece of smart technology such as an Alexa or Hatch. It is done all through an application on your phone. The interface of the application is really clear to understand and easy to navigate through, so you are able to quickly check on your baby. The camera does a really strong job of capturing the environment of where your baby is. The microphone monitoring and 1080p camera are super clear, and complement the phone application nicely and make it easy to get peace of mind. The night vision mode allows you to spot their eyes to confirm if they are sleeping or not. Our baby is a very loud and active sleeper, so it really helped us decipher if he needed to be checked on or not.

The Owlet - Dream Duo (3rd Gen) is an incredible tool to have to ensure your baby's health and safety. With a newborn in the family, we wanted to have something that allowed us to not only visually monitor our son, but to also be able to check on important vital information. The Owlet - Dream Duo (3rd Gen) is a parent's best friend! It didn't take very long to have the sock and camera connected to the app. It was a fairly straightforward process that only took a few minutes. One thing that I was worried about was whether the sock would fit too loose or too snug, but the sock fit perfectly! We haven't noticed any signs of discomfort from our son and he is not bothered by it. So, if he is good, we are good. I love being able to monitor our son's sleep time, how many time he wakes up at night, and heart rate. Another great bonus is temperature!! Knowing the room temperature lets us know when things get too hot or too cold. We are able to keep a comfortable environment for our son thanks to the Owlet - Dream Duo (3rd Gen). As for the camera, that is an added bonus. We can keep an eye out on our son to make sure everything is ok. The video quality is really good at night and during the day. Overall, we love the Owlet - Dream Duo (3rd Gen). It is an incredible things to have for any parent! I would highly recommend the Owlet - Dream Duo (3rd Gen).

This system is basically a path to less worry an anxiety especiually for ne parent. The camera (which comes with the mounting screws, etc.. intalls easily. You also get a wall mounting kit to securely attach the wires to the wall instead of having them hang loosely down the wall. I won’t go through the details, but they recommend setting up your camera (via WIFI) to the Owlet camera app on your phone. You have different audio and video quality settings to try, as well as an AUTO setting to use the best available. (Depends on your wifi connection etc..) You get different sizes of “socks” for your child. When the baby grows, you can keep on monitoring with ease. There are a lot of details you need to read through. Just take your time and read through as you may feel a little overwhelmed at first. On that note: There is no included manual. You will have a QR code to scan that will take you to the site where you can read and/or download and print all the instructions. i understand as the manuals are pretty large. Along with visual monitoring you get health reading to such as pulse rate and oxygen values. So far it’s been working fine and really does add a needed level of reassurance your baby is doing ok during the times you aren't always right there with them. For us, we haven’t had any baby issues and hopefully never will. I say this as my niece has the Owlet system, and it was very helpful for them. Their son did have some small issues with breathing (Had to do breathing exercises during day) and this system really help ease their nerves and notify them of any issues. I can’t recommend this system enough. The help with nerves for parents is priceless. Even grandparents :)

We got the Owlet Dream Duo a few weeks after our baby arrived, and wow I didn’t expect to feel this relieved at night. As first-time parents, one of the biggest stresses has been “Is the baby okay? Are they breathing? Are they comfortable?” This monitor has helped big time. First thing: the sock sensor is surprisingly comfortable for our little one. It’s soft, and the Velcro fits well around the foot. I was worried about it bothering her, but she hardly seems to notice it sleeping soundly through it. It tracks heart rate and oxygen levels and sends alerts if anything seems off (base station + app). That alone gives me a lot more peace of mind. The camera is also great: high quality 2K HD (or close) so I can zoom in a bit, see her face, check the room temperature/humidity in the app. Everything’s right there on my phone. Setup was way easier than I expected. We plugged in the base station, connected the sock, mounted the camera (the magnet mount was nice), downloaded the app and we were good to go in under 20 minutes. No crazy tech-skills needed. The app notifies me if she moves more than usual, if something unusual is picked up by the sock base, and also lets me check in live video when I’m away. The peace of mind part is the biggest thing. Before this, I’d wake up multiple times a night to check on her, wondering if everything was okay even though she looked fine. With the Dream Duo, I actually sleep. I know if something is off I’ll get an alert. If everything’s normal, I can rest. That difference is huge. Now, just a few minor notes, sometimes the camera feed lags a little when wifi is weak not every time, but happened when we were streaming from another room. It doesn’t bug me much, but just something to know. And the app’s notification sensitivity takes a bit of tweaking at first we got some little alerts we weren’t sure about, but once we proper set it up the alerts are meaningful. All that said, I’m so glad we invested in this. If you’re expecting or just brought home your baby and you’re scared of "what ifs" at night, this monitor is one of those purchases that feels like you’re buying sleep for you as much as monitoring for baby. Totally worth it in our house.

This device is really wonderful if you have anxiety as a new parent or if you have a medically fragile infant. It has some features that make it really user friendly. I like that the sock can just be put on my child’s foot- it’s comfortable and easy to put on and remove, and isn’t in the way for things like diaper changes or night feedings. Also, if you wake in the night with your child and fall asleep with them in your arms, it will continue to monitor and can wake you if there’s reason for concern. I looked at other reviewers and some of them mentioned having a lot of false alarms due to the sock not being placed correctly. However, I found if I put an infant sock or footie pajamas over the sock, it held it in place perfectly and I did not have that issue (at least so far). Another thing to keep in mind is you must have decent wifi to run this device. But I really like how it is portable and can travel with us. For our first child, we had a great crib monitor but when we traveled, we could not bring it. Although the cost of this device is higher, one of my favorite things about it is no subscription service is required- once you purchase it- it’s ready to use all features. This means you can also easily use it for multiple children, reducing the cost over time. With scary stories like SIDS and crib recalls making us parents too afraid to sleep, a device like this one can be a real lifesaver (and sleep-aid for anxious parents)! One other observation is that unless you have or purchase a separate monitor, you have to view the camera on an app on your phone. There is a “picture in picture” feature so you can do other things on your phone while keeping the window open, but if that’s annoying to you this device may not be your top pic.
