This microwave is a great product. It has a nice design, stainless steel front, good buttons and controls, huge inside, high power and relatively quiet. Can't go wrong, specially at the low prices they are offering this device. My only gripe, and this is valid for ALL microwaves... how about a battery backup for the clock, so we don't have to set it every time their is any minor power failure?

My previous microwave crashed. This was exactly the same feature but more advanced, like the turbo defrost and the inverter features. The 2.2 cubic size is awesome that matches its 1250 watt power. I find the sensor reheat option great for frozen pocket sandwiches and leftovers.

I purchased this unit several years ago during a kitchen remodel and bought the installation bracket to inset the unit into the island. The bracket cost almost as much as the unit, but both much cheaper than a drawer unit. I bought this second one as a backup recently as we are having problems with the door button. When closing, the sensor is not always set so cannot turn on. Occasionally, have to reopen and close harder to get it to work. Other than that, the unit works great, looks great installed, and I would buy it again. It is powerful, and the inverter concept works very well. Reheats very quickly. Defrosting and melting work great with the controlled low power setting. It took a while to get use to not having a key pad, but the knob approach did not take long to get use to, and sometimes I now find it easier for most cases.

I can’t talk about the cooking abilities of this microwave because I returned it without using those functions. I can say that this microwave is HUGE and will take up your entire counter. It will easily fit a 13x9 pan so if you batch cook or have a huge family and lots of counterspace? You’ll love this behemoth of a microwave. It doesn’t have number buttons, only a twisty knob and some presets, and the button to open the door is hard to push if you have any kind of arthritis or nerve damage in your hands like I do. I returned it because it was just too big and the button was too hard for me to push on a regular basis.

I've never used the automatic buttons on microwaves before because I've never had great results, but I've been impressed by the reheat functionality on this microwave. It is so easy to use and fits anything you can imagine. Very aesthetically pleasing also, best looking microwave compared to everything else I've looked at when shopping.

Good as advised. Prompt delivery. I replaced the one got broken was the same model. Hopefully this one will last longer.

We just replaced a Panasonic oven which we had for 20 years. We had to replace it with the same brand because we were very satisfied with the old one. This one has not disappointed. It works great, has fantastic features, and it is very attractive. It's large enough for large bowls and very easy to clean.

Fantastic microwave! I researched a lot of units and was hesitant to purchase any of them as none seemed perfect. I am relieved and glad I bought this one. Easy to use. Don't let the dial dissuade you from buying. It's so simple and I've never missed having the touchpad. The sensor reheat option works beautifully. There is a ton of room inside, more than I'll need. Lastly, a lot of people complain about the fingerprints. Honestly, just wipe with a damp towel and they are gone! I would buy this unit again.

Like it’s large capacity. Has all features, including defrost by weight or by power & time. The power on this is very good. Defrosting at power 3 comes out great. I was impressed that the first few bags of popcorn I have made with the popcorn feature. Popcorn came out perfect, though recently some bags have had burned sections of popcorn. I’m thinking this could be due to the popcorn itself, and not the appliance; not sure. The negative is the push-latching door open/closure. I had this type on my last microwave, and it broke within about 5 years with only 2 adults & light use. I’m hoping this lasts a bit longer. I also don’t like all the raised knobs & buttons. It’s a bit hard to wipe clean in the front. I would have rather it be a flat-touch selection. Though, the positives, out weigh the negatives.

This microwave does everything I need - and has a large size and is very user friendly. It looks nice too. I am glad I researched thoroughly (I read at least ten microwave articles/ratings on Google) and then decided on this Panasonic microwave I purchased.

I agree with everyone who gave this 5 stars. This is a beautifully designed microwave that gives continuous, quiet heating, not the loud pulsing "Off/On" like so many other makers' models. Its unique dial feature is fantastic. Tap it for power level; spin it to your desired time. It's super fast to use. There has never been a microwave this easy to use with as many well-designed features. Be aware that this unit silently vents from its upper left side and instructions state that the left side vent needs 2-3 inches of space for that reason. Also, the lettering on the very nicely designed operating panel is black letters on stainless steel - at times not as legible as I'd like. For my active senior sister, I added a few P-touch labels that she still says she didn't need. Don't bother with the other microwaves. If this fits your kitchen, it's the best one to buy.

Look no further. This microwave is fullsize, powerful, has easy to use buttons and dial, food rotates on carousel. Has defrost, quick minute, popcorn settings, and more.

I bought 1st panasonic NN-SD987SA in July of 2015. In August of 2016 it died. I should have PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. It was great though, intuitive controls, easy to use, looks good, easy to clean. Reliable until it just stopped. Purchased the LG equivalent to this unit, 2.0 instead of 2.2. The 2.2 panasonic is a better size. The LG was horrible. I downgraded the cooking time the power and cooking time on everything I cooked and EVERYTHING came out with smoke pouring out. Got my money back from the other store. Went back to best buy and bout another panasonic. AND an extended warranty. Great microwave, we will see how long this one lasts,

Perfect size for my large containers. Lot of push buttons for different modes of cooking but am learning to use most of them. Instructions are fairly clear in the manual. Warms food up very quickly.

I love this Panasonic microwave. We had GE before this which was provided by the builder and it went bad completely in 2 years! That particular GE model was by default defective and the company won't budge to replace it while it was in warranty. Anyway, so we had really bad experience with GE and we came across this Panasonic model. The inverter technology is awesome. The looks is very modern, Food gets heated exactly as it should be, evenly and there are so many options to cook the food & customize your needs. We bought geekswad warranty with it because it worth it and we have very good experience with services on our refrigerator warranty. We ended up getting custom trim for this microwave just because it wont fit on the existing slot. But overall I love this microwave, it is simple to use and very efficient.

Unit looks excellent, beautiful design, works very well, heats up quick... like the controls, simple and effective and self esplanatory. Large interior and very usefull for larger dishes. Easy to keep clean. Would buy again.

This is one of the largest microwaves available. The rotary knob is easy to use, and display is clear and legible. Panasonic build quality is top notch, way better than other brands. The inverter technology produces evenly heated food.

We replaced our 14 year old Panasonic microwave with the stainless steel model Panasonic microwave. This a very contemporary looking appliance. It is easy to use, and does the job that we want from a microwave. We are very pleased with our purchase!
