The Panasonic LUMIX G 25mm f/1.7 is a must-have for any photographer looking to upgrade their gear. The lens is compatible with mirrorless micro four thirds cameras, making it a tiny versatile option for a wide range of cameras. The f/1.7 aperture provides stunning bokeh and low-light capabilities, making it a great option for capturing beautiful images even in challenging lighting conditions. The compact design and stylish black finish make it easy to carry and a great addition to any photography kit. I highly recommend this lens to anyone looking for a high-performing and reliable lens for their mirrorless micro four thirds camera.

I purchased this open box. I probably should have asked for extra off because it was missing the lens cap and base cap, but the package said it was in excellent condition and that there weren't any missing accessories.
Overall it's a very good prime. The plastic build doesn't bother me and it's super light weight.
Fantastic aperture. Mostly excellent photos. Paired with Olympus EM10 MII. No problems with autofocus.

This has been my go to product photography lens since purchase. The wide aperture gives you great background separation, autofocus works well with a Panasonic camera, and manual focus is a fine experience as well. At 25mm, it gives you the "nifty fifty" look of full frame. Highly recommend, especially on sale or open-box. Pictures shown were taken with the lens.

When I bought my Lumix G7 I loved the Fact that it came with the 14-42mm Lens which was Amazing but Being a Youtuber i needed something more close-up and Focal. This Lens was the best to Do That. Amazing price and Worth the Price.

This is a perfect lens for beginners wanting to start in portrait photography. I originally bought this as a backup lens however it is now easily my new favorite. The depth of field control on this lens is unmatched for this price.

I like the bokeh effect this lense gives, you easily get the focus on the main object you want and get a blurry background and I love the effect

Using it with my Olympus EM5 MkIII. Simple to use. High aperture allows for good night photos without a flash. Good autofocus, also has the option for manual focus.

tl;dr - good price for low f-stop but photo sharpness is spotty
Been using the lens to take flower pics - though I expect a prime lens (fixed focal length) to shoot better than a zoom but it's not working out that way. Pic #1 was shot with the 25mm lens - the center has more detail but the some petals are blurred. Pic #2 is taken with the zoom that came with the camera - the whole flower is sharp but not as close detail. So, a good lens to get as an open-box discount

This lens does its job. I was able to get great video quality and it is “just about” as great as an expensive lens. It’s light and makes the camera more compact. All it’s missing is the image stabilization.

Monster bang for the buck

I’m an Olympus shooter, but BB had this lens on sale for $149 and I just happened to need a 25MM M43 lens with a large aperture. I have taken about 300 shots with the lens and the results are very pleasing. I see a little bit of corner softness when I get around F4, but nothing that you could tell unless you are super critical. I have had no major issues with chromatic aberations or Flare, but I did not shoot at the sun or super bright lights a lot given the portrait value of this lens. I’m extremely happy with it given its price, especially against the $349 Oly lens. You can’t beat the bang for the buck on this one. I have a lot of the Oly Pro lenses and those are fantastic, but you are talking > $1K per pop on those. Only drawback on this is that it is not weather sealed like the Pros, but for $149, you can’t beat it.

This is the second time I've owned this lens. It is very sharp and at F 1.7 the bokeh is very nice for close ups. The only lens that's faster is the 25mm 1.4, which I also owned in the past. It's a great lens, but much heavier than the 1.7. Remember that there is no stabilization, so make sure to use it with a camera that has in body stabilization. I'm using mine with the GX 85, which I love. You can't go wrong with this lens. It's affordable, lightweight, and very sharp. I highly recommend.

So first i wanna say that im just a hobby film maker and my experience is based on just the occassional use. This lens is by far the best lens i own for my camera-Panasonic g85. It is so sharp, great for low light situations and has a great field of depth. The list goes on and on for the specs of this lens. Its so cheap its ridiculous. This is a must have nifty fifty for your collection. Dont hesitate on buying this, worth every penny even at 249.99. If you get it on sale for 149.99 its a no brainer just buy it already.

It's not amazing because of the price tag, it's amazing for the way it'll change the look of your images from the moment you snap it onto the camera. It really sharpened the images on my Lumix G7 and gave me the nice blurred background that myself and my clients wanted to see. f/1.7 aperture really helps with low light shots and it's also very lightweight so that helps with those day long shoots of handheld video recording. Overall, I'm super happy with this lens and highly recommend it for beginners and pros alike.
