I have google home and I bought these lights,for the ease of turning the lights on/off and the dimming function. My spouse wanted the colorful lights and I thought that was a waste of money, but I was wrong. These lights change colors simply by telling google home what color you want. I actually like my lights with a gray tent. They dim from 0-100%. So at night I have the lights at 30% and drink tea and watch television. The lights are easy to install and work in any lamp

This is awesome starter kit and comes with the newest hue bridge and three gen 3 A19 bulbs. Super easy to set up and add more bulbs as you will get addicted to how simple and cool hue technology is.

Setting up and utilizing the Philip Hue system is easy to use and a perfect addition to a smart home. It's really as easy and screw in the lightbulb, download the app, and you're good to go!

Yes, looking at the price tag I was hesitant to purchase these expensive lights. But I gritted my teeth and went for it. Let me just say that the benefits FAR outweigh the price tag. These lights are amazing, any color, any brightness level, and all so easy to use from the phone. The wake up setting alone has changed my life tremendously. I have it set up to turn on gradually over 30 minutes to a safari color theme. The most calm waking up experience I have had ever.

I love these lights. I enjoy coming home and the lights and being able to program the lights to come on before I arrive. Additionally I like changing the colors for my mood and the dimmer.

Loved these lights, wish it worked without the bridge. I bought these at a little more expensive price. But a good start to start automating your home. Works really good with Google home.

Color smart lighting is addictive. Buy this product at your own risk. It is a rabbit hole I have fell down and not hit the bottom of yet. Currently, I am just shy of 50 light products.

I purchased this kit on sale the week of BF for a great price. Everyone in the house seems to like the different colors for the lights, it really does change the mood in your place.

So these work ok but as to brightness for $180 I can get 3 Lifx bulbs that do not require a hub. The Amazon Echo cannot change the color of the Hue bulb or much else. Only on or off. With the Lifx Echo will change colors and level of brightness. Hue is 60watt and Lifx is 75watt equivalent and the Lifx only requires 1 watt more than the Hue for the added brightness. I can control my Lifx via voice with both the Echo and Google Home (have full voice control over Hue with GH only). I am only giving this a recommend because for some people (Those using the Apple Home) this may be the best alternative. If you are using Google Home and/or Android than Lifx may be a better choice.

Very nice lights that can be controlled on your phone. I bought the bulbs, the spotlight, and the lighting strips for under my cabinets. They look cool and you can change the colors for different days, moods, and save different configurations. When I'm watching TV, I have a configuration where it dims all the lights very low so it's not pitch black in the room and makes it very nice for movie viewing. I would highly recommend this product.

I started with this starter kit and it is very easy to install. Plug in and get on the app or website to set up with your wifi. My wife is mad at me now as I have converted almost all of our lights to Hue. You can control the color and intensity of all lights through Alexa or by various apps available for free or purchase. Family loves dimming the lights for movie night. I like using a strobe lights. Must have for a smart home.

Picked up to give my room some color and character. Love the ability to turn lights on anywhere in the house with my voice. Easy to set up, though the bridge has to be a wired connection to modem. Would give 5 stars if the bridge didn't have to be physically connected to modem.

This hue generation model has much better color range than the previous. Pair this with a Google home or Amazon Alexa/echo and you're on your way to having a smart home.

When I turn on the light and play around the color.. I realize one bulb that you can change on so many different color.. you don't need to change the bulb.. Fantastic...

The colors are much better than I expected, even from just one bulb. They react quick to commands from the app or Google Home. Would definitely buy the bundle again.

Easiest lights to set up. I've got about a dozen hue lights now, controlled via a Google home and or mobile devices.. the hue dimmer switch makes a great addition.

I bought this to replace a crestron home theater controller light switch that had stopped working. I prefer this to the much more expensive system. The bulbs are as bright or brighter than the incandescent bulbs it replaced. I only use it for white light but being able to control the color tempature is great. Dimming is smooth up and down. I hooked it up using my Echo Dot and now I can voice control my lights. A+!
