Best electric shaver I've ever owned

It was a little more expensive then the ones I've owned in the past but it was worth the cost. It gives the closest shave I've ever gotten from an electric razor. It's also easy to clean.

Purchased this razor after cutting myself one to many times with a blade razor. I use blood thinners and finally said enough was enough. I purchased and it charges easily, runs very quietly, not heavy at all. Really the only negative is that the Norelco needs to be in a travel case. I travel 3 to 4 nights per week with work and while the razor works great I am always concerned as to what will happen to the charging stand. I guess time will tell and with the reputation of Norelco I do expect it to last for quite a while. One queston thought, where do you purchase cleaner for the heads? I would recommend this razor as a very good one to anybody.

Good sleek razor for a good price

Very sleek and cool design, very light and easy to hold while using. The hair chamber is a little small and is hard to grip when pulling off. When it comes off, it's hard to hold and I seem to always drop it though when I do it's luckily into the sink but it causes the cut hair to go all over the place. So far battery life is really good however I'm concerned that there is no direct power connection and you have to use the base to power it. My last electric razor I had for 10 years and the battery died and couldn't hold a charge but I was able to simply plug the cord right into the razor and was able to still use it that way for many more years. That's not the case with one. So when the battery dies I think I can replace it inside the razor from Philips or I'll have to buy a new razor which would stink. Also I haven't used the trimmer attachment as I'm afraid to pull the razor head off the body in order to attach the trimmer. It seems too fragile and I feel like I'll break it. Otherwise it's a good razor for the money that is towards the higher end in their entire product line.

Philips Norelco Shaver 6100: Achieve a close, comfortable shave thanks to DualPrecision heads, Super Lift & Cut technology and a SkinGlide shaving surface. The Aquatec seal lets you operate the shaver in both wet and dry conditions for flexibility.

I do like this shaver. It is quick and efficient and very quiet. This is important to me since I mostly shave in the car and I can still listen to the radio without difficulty. The quiet would be nice if one were shaving while someone slept nearby too. the shave is quick and smooth and gets into the nooks and valleys quite easily. I give it only three stars because the trimmer is problematic. it is an entirely different head and requires removing the entire head piece to switch to the trimmer. Cleaning the main rotary heads is easy enough but I have to do it frequently as the reservoir is small for hair follicles.

This shaver is awesome with the shaving attachment but is not the best with the trimmer. This also does not have extra attachments that allow a trim at different lengths. All in all a good product.

Gives a realty great shave but poorly designed. Took a little getting use to changing head from shaver to clipper and also cleaning the head.. Putting shaver head back on requires careful alignment of head into slot. It's difficult to see. Taking the head apart to cleaning requires you to be careful not to drop individual heads. Also, taking the plastic head guard wrong results in entire head coming apart.... Poor design, but great shave

Gets the job done (better wet than dry)

I purchased this model after buying a less expensive Norelco razor. I encourage people to use the Best Buy price match, because I was able to get this one for way cheaper than Best Buy had it advertised by using a price match from an online dealer that's among BB's list of price match options. Overall, the razor does what it's supposed to do. Nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done. I've had to go back over a few spots after I'm done shaving, but for the price it's not that big of a deal. One of the nicest things about this model compared to some of the less expensive Norelcos is the shorter charge time along with a longer battery life. It definitely works a lot better shaving wet/with shaving cream compared to trying to shave dry. Much smoother shave without bumps and scratches afterwards when I shave wet/with shaving cream. Enjoy! This shaver gives a very close shave. It contours to the curves on my face. I like that I can use this dry, shaving cream, or even in the shower. The battery charges quickly and lasts a few shaves in between charges.

I shave every day of the week. My facial hair is thick, dark, and grows at an above-average rate. When I was still getting irritation with even the newest Gillette Fusion Pro-Glide I decided it was time for a change. I have been using the 1150X for 5 weeks now, and have noticed significantly less irritation, and a closer shave with much less effort than I was getting with my Pro-Glide. I spent about a week researching shavers including quality, price, and brand recognition before I bought this one. From the first day I used it I noticed less irritation than with my Pro-Glide, and it has actually gotten better as my face has adjusted to using an electric. I decided on the 1150X because it was reviewed as having a high quality shave, with little irritation, and the price was good. You can buy shavers that are significantly more expensive and still get little added value. This shaver can be used wet or dry, and I consistently use it wet. I have tried it dry and it worked fine, but simply find that it is quite a bit easier to use wet. I use regular shave gel, which helps the shaver to easily glide much more easily. Since you do have to go over each area a couple times (I also had to with the Pro-Glide, so no surprise there), the lubrication is immensely beneficial. If you use a shave gel or foam you will need to clean it after every use by simply popping the shaving head assembly off and running hot water through the head. Shaving takes two to three minutes to ensure a close, complete shave each morning. Battery life has been much better than expected. The last charge lasted me a day shy of a full month, which is much better than the 40 minutes of shave time that the manufacturer states. The price may seem steep if you are using disposable razors now, but you will save money in the long run by not having to buy replacement heads, which were at $27 for an 8-pack of the Pro-Glide. My break-even point for switching will be in 9 months, after that I am saving! If you have thought about switching, I would strongly recommend the Philips Norelco 1150X.

This is a nice and convenient shaver. I bought because I hate using a razor every day. Now I can shave and not get the burn. The battery lasts for plenty of shaves and it comes with a trimmer attachment.

The best electric razor I've ever used. Can be use with either shaving cream or gel. Very close shave for an electric razor. It's water resistant for use in the shower or bath. The manual say's to expect about 40 minutes of shave time on a full charge, but I've gotten twice that much. I would buy another one without hesitation.

This is my 3rd Norelco shaver and quite possibly the best one yet. In the past I had Cool Skin models with lotion dispenser so I was hesitant to try one without. After reading various online reviews, this model won out in the price vs value equation for me. It lasts well over a week on a charge and seems a bit more powerful than my previous shavers. At first, I didn't think it shaved as well as my old ones but I found out that over time it started to work as good or better than my last ones. I don't know if it was that my face had to get used to the new shaver or the blades had to wear in a bit, but I'm glad I gave it a few more days before returning it because I really like this one. Also, I am using this without any lotion or pre-shave conditioner and I'm not getting any skin irritation like I had in the past. The tilt feature is really nice, too. It does add a little more comfort to the shaving process.

I needed a new shaver and this product more than met my expectations. It is extremely easy to clean, you can use it in the shower and it holds a charge for a very long time. It does provide a close shave and anyone using an electric shaver would love. Also, at the time of purchase, Best Buy had it for $20.00 less than I could purchase it anywhere else, including Amazon. Way to go Best Buy.

this is my 3rd Philips Norelco - SensoTouch 2D Electric Shaver, I use one, and the other 2 bought for my brothers' birthday gift. the shaver is light weighted, long life battery, most importantly, it works as good as my barun 790cc. I prefer this one to 790cc because this has 3 heads, it feels better.

I would rate 4.5 stars if possible. Great razor, the only drawback is the closeness of the shave. It isn't as close as my old razor. It still gets me through the day, though. On the upside, you can use it in the shower, with shave gel, shave aids (Lectric Shave), and just about any other way you can think of. I have noticed a reduction in shave bumps as well. It's also much more quiet than any other razor I've owned. My wife loves that it doesn't wake her up in the morning. Overall, I'd say this is a definite buy. Great shaver!
