Gets the job done (better wet than dry)

I purchased this model after buying a less expensive Norelco razor. I encourage people to use the Best Buy price match, because I was able to get this one for way cheaper than Best Buy had it advertised by using a price match from an online dealer that's among BB's list of price match options. Overall, the razor does what it's supposed to do. Nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done. I've had to go back over a few spots after I'm done shaving, but for the price it's not that big of a deal. One of the nicest things about this model compared to some of the less expensive Norelcos is the shorter charge time along with a longer battery life. It definitely works a lot better shaving wet/with shaving cream compared to trying to shave dry. Much smoother shave without bumps and scratches afterwards when I shave wet/with shaving cream. Enjoy! This one replace my old Philips Norelco shaver of 15 years and what a difference. The old ones had a deep chamber to hold your trimmed hairs in the shaver, but this new one is very thin, thus much easier to wash away with hot water. Other than that, not much difference in shaving, you do have a choice of dry or using lather but I'd rather use dry as lather just makes a mess and longer to clean the shaver.

I like the closeness of the shave and that there is no irritation. It is a little sluggish if I go a few days between shaves, but I snap in the trimmer head and take much of the stubble off that way and all is fine.

I do like this shaver. It is quick and efficient and very quiet. This is important to me since I mostly shave in the car and I can still listen to the radio without difficulty. The quiet would be nice if one were shaving while someone slept nearby too. the shave is quick and smooth and gets into the nooks and valleys quite easily. I give it only three stars because the trimmer is problematic. it is an entirely different head and requires removing the entire head piece to switch to the trimmer. Cleaning the main rotary heads is easy enough but I have to do it frequently as the reservoir is small for hair follicles.

This product works as advertised...even on my big ol' turkey gobbler. Easy to clean. Worry free operation. Excellent battery life. What more do you want from a razor? A Close shave? You got it. I'm a fan of the norelco.

I shave every day of the week. My facial hair is thick, dark, and grows at an above-average rate. When I was still getting irritation with even the newest Gillette Fusion Pro-Glide I decided it was time for a change. I have been using the 1150X for 5 weeks now, and have noticed significantly less irritation, and a closer shave with much less effort than I was getting with my Pro-Glide. I spent about a week researching shavers including quality, price, and brand recognition before I bought this one. From the first day I used it I noticed less irritation than with my Pro-Glide, and it has actually gotten better as my face has adjusted to using an electric. I decided on the 1150X because it was reviewed as having a high quality shave, with little irritation, and the price was good. You can buy shavers that are significantly more expensive and still get little added value. This shaver can be used wet or dry, and I consistently use it wet. I have tried it dry and it worked fine, but simply find that it is quite a bit easier to use wet. I use regular shave gel, which helps the shaver to easily glide much more easily. Since you do have to go over each area a couple times (I also had to with the Pro-Glide, so no surprise there), the lubrication is immensely beneficial. If you use a shave gel or foam you will need to clean it after every use by simply popping the shaving head assembly off and running hot water through the head. Shaving takes two to three minutes to ensure a close, complete shave each morning. Battery life has been much better than expected. The last charge lasted me a day shy of a full month, which is much better than the 40 minutes of shave time that the manufacturer states. The price may seem steep if you are using disposable razors now, but you will save money in the long run by not having to buy replacement heads, which were at $27 for an 8-pack of the Pro-Glide. My break-even point for switching will be in 9 months, after that I am saving! If you have thought about switching, I would strongly recommend the Philips Norelco 1150X.

It was a little more expensive then the ones I've owned in the past but it was worth the cost. It gives the closest shave I've ever gotten from an electric razor. It's also easy to clean.

I bought this to replace another Philips razor (whose blades fell into the toilet while I was cleaning it). It's water resistant, so you can use it in the shower and/or with shaving cream, and cleaning it is a darn side easier than the earlier models - just run it under the faucet. The only negatives I have with this shaver is that you really have to cover the same ground several times to get a nice smooth shave (unlike my last razor, which did its job on the first pass), and the head is prone to ejecting off in my suitcase when travelling, so I have to be sure to clean the thing before packing it away.

Shaves close with enough passes and it does take a lot of passes. I bought it for my head since my Braun 7 does not fair well on the head. I wish I would have spent my money on the cheaper 3000-4000 series. They work fairly well and are much quicker (if you can live with a dry shave).

Have been hesitant to move to an electric shaver but have been very happy with this product. Daily I would cut myself shaving and as I am on a blood thinner -this was a huge problem I hesitated going electric as I thought the shave would not be as close. I was wrong- This is great! Thanks

I like my razornki have used several times and it does the job for me. I have not tried it in the shower yet but the dry shaves have been close and the razor follows the contours of my face well. I would buy it again.

This shaver is awesome with the shaving attachment but is not the best with the trimmer. This also does not have extra attachments that allow a trim at different lengths. All in all a good product.

It shaves good and is easy to clean. The battery life is about 2 weeks on a single charge how ever it doesn't indicate when it needs a charge. It has the windows on the front for such indication but they either don't work or are just on there for show.

My husband wanted an electric razor for Christmas (again). He goes thru them fast, needs new ones every year. This time I upgraded his choice, and bought replacement heads too. So far he loves this, says it gives a close shave & feels gentle on his skin. The recharge is fast.

Gives a realty great shave but poorly designed. Took a little getting use to changing head from shaver to clipper and also cleaning the head.. Putting shaver head back on requires careful alignment of head into slot. It's difficult to see. Taking the head apart to cleaning requires you to be careful not to drop individual heads. Also, taking the plastic head guard wrong results in entire head coming apart.... Poor design, but great shave
