a razor for a lazy male. gives a mediocre shave but does it faster than the original norelco shaver

I used it for 3 weeks as recommended but the only negative is cleaning mechanism which needs to be looked at by Phillips.

Got my Norelco 6100 Great design! Like a laser gun from Star Wars/Trek. A very slick design like from a different dimension. Tried it out, the initial impression was pretty bad. The performances were way inferior to my $40 foil Remington; it left whiskers on the neck, irritation, burning sensation on the face, all by the book. After a week, I was ready to take it back to Best Buy, but I decided to test it to its full potential: wet shaving with gel. And what can I say, it’s a completely different story! The shaving is pretty close, the feeling on the skin is far more pleasant. Overall, a very positive experience and much neater shave than with my older, dry only, machine. So overall 4 stars. Why not 5? Well, to be fair and to compare apples to apples, the shave will never be as close as with Mach3 or Fusion razors and it doesn’t matter how much they advertize it, or the look of the face of the guy on the box, but you will never get this kind of performance with an electric shaver. Accept it. Also, the positive experience was only with wet shaving. Some may say this defeats some of the advantages of the electric shaver and this may be true, however, let’s face it - most of us do have access to running water in our daily life. However, it is close enough for day to day shaving, it’s super fast (even when shaving wet)! BTW, in addition to making less noise this is a big advantage of the rotary shavers over the foil ones: the 3 heads rotary simply covers wider area. Shaving wet with gel gives you a pleasant feeling on your face with no cuts or oversensitivity of the razor. I didn’t get the irritation on my face many mentioned, but it did leave burning marks on my lower neck. And the reason for these marks is that the metal heads of the shaver become hot from the friction during shaving and may burn the areas of your face that are not isolated by whiskers, like your lower neck, or under the eyes. These are not the medieval inquisition torture burnings, but they are red and painful. The solution is 1. To shave the sensitive areas in the beginning when the heads are still cold. 2. Water cooling. It works for your driving machine; it will work for your shaving machine! Cool down the heads under cold water for a few seconds when you are shaving. If you follow these two rules you should be fine and you can even go over the same areas multiple times. The final verdict: 4 stars.

Purchased this shaver in store for my father, and he liked it.

The triple heads and recommend circular shaving motion make it difficult to keep skin taught while shaving. This is especially true for the neck area and if you're not careful you'll get razor burn. May work well for some faces, but not mine.

Not as good as advertised. The shave is not great but works. Too much money for the product.

Last time I tried an electric shaver was over 20 years ago. Decided to purchase one to see if the technology had improved... not really. I was very disappointed and decided to return it.

This razor is one of the best investments you can make. I shave frequently with a Gillete Flexball and in a pinch I will use this one. Speed-10 Closeness-8.5 Trimmer-10 Battery life-10 Overall-9.6/10 It is waterproof so go ahead and use it in the shower.

The shavering capacity of the shaver doesn't last. Used for 2 weeks (not every day) and then it was almost impossible to get a good shave. My beard is strong but it is not like iron.

Works pretty good for my facial hair which is course, but the blade set does not last a full year with me. Have had to replace blade sets more often due to tougher hair. Using a shaving gel does help. Also, had a defective shaver they replaced. The on-off switch cover broke open allowing water to get into the razor. Since then I have to be gentle on pressing the on-off switch so as not to break open the plastic cover again. Once skin gets conditioned to this type of razor irritation is less than with a blade in my experience. May try 3D model next time to see if blades are better/last longer. Only downside with 3D is cost of blades is as much as this whole 2D razor cost when on sale!

My husband needed a new razor. I bought him this one for Father's Day and it is truly a winner! He LOVES that it stays charged for weeks. Gives a nice close shave too!

I was a bit apprehensive about investing in an electric shaver. My primary concern was that I would not achieve as close a shave compared to using blades. The Norelco SensoTouch 2D worked great the first time I used it; the shave was very close - just as I was used to using the razor and blades. Another great feature is the charging stand and trimming kit - works great to keep side-burns and mustache neat. A quality shaver that runs quiet - a big plus for me. No irritation for me - a first time user. A great buy for the price!

This razor does give a better shave than than the lesser priced Norelco models. The charge lasts a long time - about 2 weeks for me. The negatives are: 1. It must be in it's stand to be charged which means you have to haul around the bulky stand with it when traveling. 2. It did not come with a travel case. 3. The hair collection chamber is not very big, so you have to clean it often.

I bought this on sale this week, and I can honestly say this is one of the best purchases that i have made from Best Buy. Not only is it easy to use/clean, but it works remarkably well! I've been using the disposable cartridges for so long, but they've been getting pretty pricey, I've done a dry shave with this shaver, and a wet shave, and was surprised that both times it was like i used a regular razor-no stubble! Very happy with my purchase:)

Great product!! a little pricey but its worth it! first of all it has a good shave not as good as a razor but its good for the lazy shaver i love the battery life it last a very long time!! easy to clean and overall a great product!

Long lasting charge - really long time. Works well in or out of the shower. Only complaint is sometimes you must press very hard to get best result on neck.

I love how flexible it is on my face and how easy it shaves my fave with shaving cream, gel, or dry. It also charges really fast and I'm able to take it with me on the go.
