I've tried several different pellet brands and blends, but I keep returning to this one. The ash generated is low and the result is always very tasty. Also, the 40lb bag is an excellent value. I have a Pit Boss Sportsman 820 grill and smoke mainly pork and beef at low-ish temperatures.

I love Pit Boss Competition pellets and have used them many times so when i saw them on sale I ordered them with partial payment with 1 of my Rewards Certificates. I placed my order on May 24th. When I look on my order status it says possible delay. I have been unable to locate a customer service number in order to ask about returning my reward certificate since after more than a month I feel like my order has been forgotten about. Can anyone help me with a contact for customer service?

Called competitive for a reason. Put my ribs up against anyone. Pellets created a great flavorful flavor, highly recommend

I had a terrible experience at the Best Buy store in Jefferson, Newport News. I went in to purchase a 40 lb Hardwood Pellets Fuel for Grills and found the last bag on the shelf, but it had a large hole in the middle. I showed the cashier a video of the damage and asked if they had another in stock. After checking with a supervisor, I was told they couldn’t sell it, even at a discount, because it was "unacceptable for sale" and had to be returned. Since I needed the product, I placed a new order in-store, paid in cash, and was told it would be delivered by March 18. To my surprise, it arrived early on March 13, but when I inspected it, I found that the hole had simply been covered with scotch tape. After reviewing my video, I confirmed that they had sent me the exact same damaged bag they had refused to sell in-store. This is dishonest and unacceptable. When I contacted customer service, I spoke with five agents and a supervisor, and they all gave me the same two options: Return to the store for a replacement or refund Ship it back using a provided shipping label Why should I waste more time, effort, and gas to fix their mistake? The store knowingly sent me a damaged product that they had refused to sell just a day earlier! They should take responsibility, pick up the defective item, and send me a proper replacement without making me go back to the store. This was a frustrating and dishonest experience, and I would not trust this store again. Best Buy needs to do better.

Pit Boss has a good product. The only reason while I wont necessarily rate this higher is solely the shape of the product when it arrived. The bag that was sent was clearly opened and taped back together which as if someone had returned it. I don't mind open box/bag products just did not know that what I was going to receive. Otherwise, you can be rest assured that any pellets from Pit Boss are going to be solid. This is my first competition blend but I have used the others and they've been great.

It's funny to think of ordering pellets from Best Buy, but I guess "Yes, Best Buy Sells That." These were on sale and the price was right to try. They are flavorful and burn evenly, honestly, they seem no different from other higher end brands I've tried. I use them for a pizza oven mostly, I prefer chunk wood for the smoker and they work great with my pizza oven. No complaints here.

Best pellets out there with little to no dust from it breaking down. Also holds up pretty well to Floridas humidity. Ive left pitboss pellets in the hopper for almost 6 months during rainy season and they didnt swell. Caveat was I always covered it too. The upright smoker I put it in that is. As far as smoke taste thats all preference as you know but competitioin blend was my favorite tasting smoke flavor as opposed to straight applewood or hickory. Most pros mix anyways.

These pellets work great. The smoke flavor is excellent and the price on the pellets is usually really good for a 40lb bag.

These pit boss hardwood pellets are of excellent quality and have a mixture of many flavors, cherry, apple, hickory and others! I also like the 40 lb bags makes it very convenient not to have to run out often! I will be buying more of these bags!

Great Flavor and great smelling smoke great Value.

These Pit Boss pellets burn well and add great flavor, and they’re noticeably cheaper than Traeger’s—especially when on sale. I’ve been using them in my Traeger without any issues.

This is my go to as far as Pellets go. Pitboss pellets have never let me down and this Competition Blend is the best. I have cooked everything from Briskets, to Burgers, to Ribs with this blend and the smoky flavor has always been the best. If you want the best wood blend for the best price, this is it.

Very easy to use. I used these pellets with my Pit Boss 1150DX to smoke a rack of ribs, and they turned out flavorful and tender. The pellets burned consistently and did exactly what they were supposed to.

Great value on pellets. I use in my Treager and they burn great.
