I got this drive at a great price on sale. I put into an external housing with a fast USB interface. With it I get speeds of typically 400 MB/s, which are close to the maximum of 500 MB/s for this drive connected directly to the SATA inside a pc. I use it to do backups of the drives inside my tower. It is an economical means of performing this function.

I bought the 2tb so that I could install all of my games to an ssd. I have had this drive for quite a while and it has held up well. I basically have my whole steam library installed, it's great!

Large storage in a small package. I love backups! I believe in redundancy and this drive as another way to make sure I have several places to have my data.

Slows down to 30mB/s to 40mB/s after it gets warm copying large files. It does maintain its full speed until it reaches full capacity if the files are small but it slows way down after it gets hot.

This is an awesome upgrade to my older 2012 MacBook. You’ll find no cheaper option too!

I am not a computer expert by any means so take what I am saying with a grain of salt. I got this to replace the original 1 TB SATA "spin drive" on my 2017 gaming laptop, and this fits the job perfectly. Installation was super easy, and it is nice knowing I have NO moving storage onboard! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because once the onboard cache fills up, the speed drops dramatically. Do note, it is still faster than what the spin drive could do on a good day. My only gripe is PNY does not list how large of a cache the SSD has, so take that into consideration depending on what your application is. I have mine partitioned into 3 separate areas for storing actively used video files, a render cache for editing, and one for general long-term storage. Overall, I think it was well worth the investment and I did notice my video export speeds have increased by ~10 FPS on average, which is nice. Plus, there is very minimal lag time vs a spin drive when it comes to accessing data when you got multiple operations running.

I believe this SSD to be a relatively great product and does what it needs to do. The product is easy to intall and is light, which will help if you already have a heavy laptop or if you dont want to add much weight. However after using the product it is a slower speed compared to other. That being said, for it being so affordable I believe you can look past it since it is still and alright speed. If your looking for cheap, good, and relible, then you found the perfect SSD for your laptop

Used this to replace the spinning drive in my external usb enclosure for my ps4. Sped up the read and install times so much. Does not get hot and got ride of the artifacts I was getting using the mechanical drives. Highly recommended.

The best Ssd i ever got, slim, easy-to-use, no moving parts. I use it for security cameras with tons of great benefits, large memory capabilities and ultra light, ultra slim, read ,write speed also super fast.

The PNY CS900 is a good, solid SSD SATA data at an excellent price. I replaced a 2TB 2.5" Western Digital 5400rpm HDD with this, five months ago, for my short-term media files. It is much faster reading, writing, searching, and indexing said files; so much so that I rarely even think about how long it might take to reorganize or compile the files; I just do it. Installation was a snap: pop out the HDD, pop in the SSD, reboot. I have had zero problems with this drive through 3,157 power-on hours at 27'C, the coolest of my drives by 15'C-20'C. Anecdotal, of course, but still good news. Recommended.

It's worth it for the price. Its not as fast as some other NVme drives but fast enough to do the job. Would definitely recommend if you're planning on upgrading an older system or even adding more storage to a new one. I mean it's pretty perfect for more gaming storage especially since a lot of the titles I play are online multiplayers so chances are the speed of the drive won't be too much of a factor since the most important thing in my case use would be internet speed.

PC boots up in less than 30 seconds with this ssd card. Fast - Quiet - Dependable and inexpensive.

Very simple install process and works great, fast, inexpensive and easy to use. Was delivered by best buy in about a day. I love how easy the overall process is.

It does everything I ask of it so far. Easy to install and so far very happy with the added space.

So far zero issues. I am using this as extra storage on Windows 10. The price was too good to pass on, and so far it's been worth it!

I bought this for a Windows 11 computer measuring 5” x 5” x 2” that accommodates a 2.5” SSD. The 128GB SSD-on-a-chip was not enough for my needs, so I was able to transfer Win11 to this 2TB drive and all is wonderful. PNY has always been a reliable brand for me.
