Outside of it's use for let's go, it really does function like a standard joy-con. It's basically a novelty for one game and one game only. I haven't tried on pokemon sword, but i don't have high hopes that it would work for that game. Though I could be wrong.

Good if used carefully

Use carefully and ensure that it properly tied to your hand before you start capturing Pokémon :)
