Needed sub to go with small Polk bookshelf speakers. This one's just right for me, although the 12" model was tempting. East to set up and use.

This subwoofer is amazing it shakes everything (walls pictures windows) if you turn it up.Over all this subwoofer is so good for 100 watts!!!!!

Haven't owned it for very long. But the sound quality is great, build quality seems good. I'm sure the internal amp is cheap, so I'm just hoping it lasts. I should really be giving this 5 stars yo.... but I won't.

Was excited to purchase this sub. Initially great speaker and was really pleased to add to home theatre system. Worked great! Unfortunately it simply died after about 18 months. Just past warranty. Very disappointed.

For an entry level sub it had the necessary switches. I bought 2 subs but my room is too big for them. I will try the next larger size.

Purchased the sub woofer and thinks it's great for the money spent. Planning on getting a second one for the bedroom.

it carried decent bass, if you live in an apartment you will become unpopular, i wish it was more active at lower levels, and the reason for only 3 starts it crapped the bed after just under 4 years. im replacing with a sony that costs a little over $160, we will see what we get

After buying Polk audio tower T-50, center T-30 and bookshelf T-15 Best Buy talked me into sub woofer and what a difference! The voice on the center channel seems to show up more with the base moving to the subwoofer with much lower boom. You can actually hear talking more clear

I can't say that I'm extremely please with this powered sub. I got it open box for $107 so I wasn't too displeased, but this could be an excellent sub if Polk would put a better 10 in it. I have my amp levels set at zero and as I turn up the volume it quickly distorts. It's not a good compliment to the MC60's I bought. In the future I might get a higher quality 10 to install in it. As mentioned the amp isn't the problem at all in it. The amp seems really strong.

Originally purchased this item because the one I wanted was not in stock (klipsch). I ended up trading it for the one I wanted, but the color and quality of this product was fine.

I've had my PSW108 for a couple of years now. This thing is so cheaply made it's maddening. I think the driver (actual speaker) in it is probably pretty nice, but it's hard to know since the grill is made of cheap plastic and the little nubs that hold it on broke on mine for no reason that I can ascertain as I hadn't touched it or even gone near it for a while before I found them broken. And because they were broken they rattled. Then when it kept rattling and vibrating and shaking, I inspected further to find to places in this thing rattled that could have been prevented at the factory for pennies on the dollar and just a hair of effort. First is the wave guide (the plastic ring around the edge of the speaker), and second is, well, I'm not exactly sure what purpose it serves but a crosshair looking piece of plastic that just dangles at the inside edge of the port. And when this thing starts rumbling, both of these start vibrating making a a horrible noise. I took some mounting putty and put around the edges to keep the rattling down and that seems to have helped a TON. But also on the inside, it's really poorly braced. There are right angles everywhere (which is a pretty big no-no in speaker building). The port is just a cardboard tube. And the feet, oh my god the feet. Don't put this thing on hardwood unless you want it to vibrate everywhere, they're just tacked on hard plastic. Would some rubber feet and screws really be that much more expensive Polk? Now that I have unfortunately had this thing for longer than the return period (which I have no idea why I didn't return it then), I'm kind of tempted to build another box for this thing and put the driver in it, just to see how much it would be improved. My guess, quite a bit. Also, the amp on this thing is pretty weak, and there's no LFE input or crossover defeat. LAME. There are much better subwoofers for less.

Good for the money . For a small room works fine. Need to play with the cut off

Was using a Bose passive subwoofer which was terrible. With this I can feel the air and the floor move. Thanks Polk
