Beautiful sound and adds a lot of depth to even the best tower speakers

Wow what a great subwoofer tons of bass sounds amazing

When I'm looking for a subwoofer, I'm not looking for an earthquake simulator, but I'm also not looking for that seamless sometimes unfeeling woof that comes from default receiver calibration. When you buy this woof my recommendation to you is to first perform the receiver calibration if your receiver allows for it. I understand this is a bit of a pain but I feel it is a necessary step. Most receiver calibrations I've performed will have you set the sub to 50% for calibration, which I agree with for initial setup. After calibration you may find much like I did that you have achieved the aforementioned seamless, sometimes unfeeling, woof. To achieve some boom boom, after calibration proceed to set the dial to your preference of value between 60-75%. At this rating you will achieve some boom boom that for my purposes felt quite great. All-in-all 4 stars, good woof that achieved my preference of providing some boom boom.

Deep bass tone and a great compliment to my 7 year old Kelton surround speakers. Very sturdy with no vibration or feedback....great quality for the price.

As is typical for Polk products this speaker sounds great and doesn't break the bank. Added a really clean bottom end.

I bought the complete 5.1 Polk Signature Series along with a Yamaha audio/video home theater receiver and this subwoofer was and the other speakers were the perfect match. These speakers not only look fantastic but they're the best sounding speakers I think I've ever owned. My last system was a Sony and these Polks were half the price but equivalent to, if not better than the Sony. The Yamaha kicks out 400 watts and when I'm watching movies I have em cranked and you wouldn't believe how great they sound, at any level. I have only owned these several weeks so while I won't be replacing them anytime soon when the time comes I'll be looking at Polks again.

This sub sounds amazing. I use it with my Onkyo receiver and the bass is exceptionally great sounding. I couldn't be happier.

I replaced my old Yamaha subwoofer with this one because I thought I would get more out of the movies I like to watch and man was I right. My dad stopped by one day on his way home to say hello and I was watching Red Dawn. He did not know I had replaced my sub, nor does he stick around to watch a movie, but that sound had him hooked! This is a great subwoofer and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I'm sure there are better sounding, more powerful, Magnolia quality subs out there but for the money and what I need it to do, I don't think I could of found one better. I know this is not the most technical review, but if you want a great sounding subwoofer and you're on a budget, you won't go wrong buying this subwoofer!
