I'd needed a subwoofer to fill out the bottom end of my sound system. I was on a budget so I bought this little Polk based on the reviews I'd read on the Best Buy website. Most were positive so I gave them a shot. I was very surprised! Are they the last word in bottom-end base? No. But for the amount of money I spent on this speaker, I got much more in the way of value. My listening room is fairly small and this little speaker does a good job filling it up with good deep base. And this woofer matches up well with my bookshelf Sony's! Give it a chance!

Bought this to replace an older subwoofer and could not be happier. Is perfect for a mid-size room.

After talking to our contractor who was helping my spouse and I setup our new home theater system, he suggested a subwoofer. So, I immediately checked our nearest Best Buy and this subwoofer was available for immediate pickup. I took a chance since the reviews were so high. It's excellent. Really gives an extra "boom" effect for movies and certain tv shows. I would suggest this to a friend. The price was several hundred dollars different from the other subwoofer available that day. I'm happy with this...and don't need anything more.

Was skeptical buying this sub, especially because it wasn't my first pick. After talking with the staff at the store, and reading the reviews, I have not been disappointed. Nice deep bass with music, and clear and solid when using it for the surround sound. It is a good all around sub!

The 108 is a fairly nice low end woofer. The bass response is acceptable but not overwhelming. To get the sound most people desire you must turn up the woofer to nearly it's max setting, but still produces a clean sound. Well put together cabinet, and does not stand out like some of the other ugly speakers.

A good product worth the price. Does an adeaquate job, but won’t be the centerpiece of your system.

Bought 4 of these on sale before Christmas at a great price. Placed 2 at front stage flanked by Polk S55's L&R Channels, Polk S35 Center Channel, & Polk S10's Height Channels. The other 2 placed in rear corners complimenting Polk S50's L&R Rear Channels. What an amazing sound these speakers produce working in unison with one another (crisp, clear, & thunderous). Completely satisfied with my purchase. Thanks Bestbuy, keep up the good work!!!

I have a 65" Sony 3D TV with a Sony surround sound after I added the sub woofer the sound quality was amazing.

I'm late to this game - this is the first subwoofer I've owned. I always do some homework before making a purchase and learned that Polk makes some excellent subwoofers, especially in the lower price range. So I took the plunge and bought this one.I knew a sub would make a difference in my system,but I didn't realize how big a difference - for the first time, lows are full, solid and clear. I wish I'd done this years ago!

Great sub I'm running 2 of them with my Klipsch speakers and my onyko 696 they hit hard and sound great put in a transformer movie and just listen

Installing surround sound and new tv and this was recommended to me as a good bang for the buck. While there are better on the market, this has worked perfectly for our small room.

This woofer matched our speakers, so we went for it. The sound is amazing/powerful and we are very pleased with the quality. This woofer will make the pictures on your walls dance.

Perfect speaker for the size of my living room. Provides excellent bass that makes the entire sound system hit perfectly. Surprisingly strong.

Let's be honest, you are not buying a $1,000 subwoofer here. On sale you are paying low $100's. For that price, I would give it 6 stars if I could. No, it's not as good as my Klipsch reference series sub, but it is darn close. And for $200 less, if I could go back in time and buy one of these, I would. To an audiophile, sure, spend the money on the more expensive one, but for 99% of the population that is not putting this in a huge room, this is an amazing sub for the price. Heck, I went back and bought another one! You won't be disappointed.

Using in a medium sized living room, provides plenty of bass. If you're using it for movies, it will do the trick...music, get something a little larger. I love it though.
