I had a surround sound system and got rid of it and bought a sound bar for my Samsung TV. Although the soundbar is nice I missed my surround sound and I decided to upgrade my surround sound system with the Polk Audio series. I got the whole system and love it from the sub-woofer and the shelf speakers and the tower speakers and the center speaker. Love the quality and sound of the Polk Audio system and the price and availability with Best Buy. Highly recommend !!!! Fantastic product !!!!

Overall, I think the sub is a good sub if you can get it on sale for $99.99. My previous sub was a PSW110 that was damaged from a lighting strike. I'm debating on sending it in for repair, but for now, the PSW10 is good. The previous sub definitely has a more fuller sound than the PSW10 but for $99.99 it is hard to complain. Even though the PSW10 does well for both music and movies, do not expect deep wall shaking bass. I thought I would like the sub more for movies than music but it is the other way around. The bass isn't overpowering but fits in well with the type of music I've been listening to lately (Bob Marley, R&B/neo-soul, Red Hot Chilli Peppers etc.). Knowing what I know now, I probably would have purchased 2 when they went on sale to test them out together.

I bought a 3 channel vizio sound bar to pair with my new vizio tv. It definitely needed a little kick. I picked up the Polk subwoofer and made my soundbar 3.1 channel. Super easy to set up. Literally just plug and play. It paired great. Sounds awesome. Movies and every day tv is 100 times better just by adding this sub. I even use the I heart radio app on the tv and listen to music. I absolutely love the bass and sound all together. This is the next best thing to a complete surround sound. Highly recommend.

This unit produces a smooth clean bass. Doesn’t hit real hard, but does carry the bass without distortion. For the money, it is a great unit

I replaced my yamaha powered sub with two of these Polk Audio subs running through a Denon avr S960 H. The bass sound from these subs is great without being "woofy". Basically , I can rattle my windows when playing music and movies yet these subs still sound clean and clear at low volume as well. They are very affordable in my opinion and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable upgrade to their home theatre system.

This is a nice speaker, but how nice depends on where you place it in your room. Is it loud? yeah, is it booms? yeah. Can you get the sound right? yeah. You have to listen to it for a couple of days while it breaks in, then start experimenting with where to put it. Then you'll get the best sound. For the price you won't be disappointed.

Low-end sound that is simply amazing. Shape/size means it will fit well in various spaces.

This was the cheapest Active Subwoofer the local store had in stock, and it sounds excellent, and was very easy to setup. I'm thinking of getting another one for the other side of the room, really adds to the sound pleasure of listening to anything.

I got this to replace my old jvc sub it's great sounds much more clear and the bass is deeper

I got this subwoofer on sale at best buy and it sounds awesome. It is loud. I have it turned up less than half way and it can shake the room at times.

Well got to say building my home theater system and this was the perfect choice for the perfect setup, And for everyone having problems with distortion and popping noises, read the instructions and check the wiring , I almost passed up going the Polk route from reading some of the reviews but more than happy that I jumped at this good deal you really can't beat it, more than enough bass for anyone trust me , if it's for music/movies/tv etc it's perfect.

I bought this to complete my 5.1 Surround Sound setup. It has great bass and I got it for a decent price. I'd recommend this for non-audiophile buyers. I don't know how good the quality is in absolute terms, but it's good enough for a regular listener.

This sub sounds really solid, especially in this price range. It easily fills my living room without pushing it very hard at all. Well worth the purchase.

I love the sound this sub will for puts out. Makes my whole house shake that's what I'm talking about couldn't have found a better deal on a great sub.
