Simple, Cat Scattering Good

I used a 7 channel receiver with this. It works and that's all I wanted honestly! I wanted blasting when I play games and movies, and that's what I got. Shooting games and movies are much more enhanced. Full volume freaks the cats out which is great because now they won't go near the entertainment center >=)

I had to get a new one, and this one is less expensive but functions better in my opinion. The old one was about 6 years old, so that may be part of the reason the new one is better (better technology).

Substantial Enhancement

I added this to a couple of very nice, but very old, 15" Altec-Lansing speakers (bought in 1965). The added "bottom" end of the sound spectrum increases the drama of the audio while protecting the two old Altec's from low range overdrive. An added plus is that the Polk did not need a dedicated receiver sub-woofer output (just connect the receivers speaker wires to the sub-woofer).
