It gets loud and produces good sound for the price. However, if you like listening to your music loud and have the money I recommend going for a more expensive subwoofer such as the klipsch....bottom line great sound for the price.

Will never go to theatre for movie again) and full surround sound system. Experience was great until we added this subwoofer. Now it is over the top. Explosions almost blow you off the couch. Great value.

2nd subwoofer for a home theater

I have also got a JBL subwoofer sub160 that is at least 10 years old. I like my JBL better than this. But this serves my purpose as the second subwoofer in a 7.2.2 system. It is like you get what you pay for.
