I’ve been using the Pursuit Car Jump Starter for a bit now, and overall I’m impressed. The jump starter is rated at 2000A and is strong enough to start up to a 6.0L gas engine or a 3.0L diesel. I haven’t needed it for an emergency yet, but it feels solid and well built. The jumper cables are “smart” and have built-in protection for things like reverse polarity and short circuits. If something’s wrong, the cable flashes red and green, which is reassuring. The clamps feel sturdy and plug into the unit easily, with a design that prevents plugging them in the wrong way. It also has a built-in air compressor rated up to 150 PSI. Like most small compressors, it’s a bit loud, but nothing unexpected. I really like the locking air chuck — that’s a smart touch. You can set the pressure, start it, and step away for a few minutes. According to the manual, it should only run for about 10 minutes at a time and then rest to cool down. In my opinion, this compressor is best for topping off slightly low tires or inflating things like soccer balls or small inflatables. While it says 150 PSI, I wouldn’t expect it to inflate a large truck tire from empty in any reasonable time. The display is clear and easy to read, with large numbers. The pressure presets are simple to use, and there are actually four pressure units available, even though the manual says three. Once you get the hang of the buttons, it’s straightforward. The flashlight took a minute to figure out, but it’s easy once you know the steps. Press the center button once, then press and hold it for a few seconds to turn it on. After that, it cycles through steady, strobe, and SOS modes. On top of that, it works as a power bank with two USB-A ports, which is handy. Everything is protected by small covers, and it all comes packed in a nice case that keeps things organized. The company includes a 12-month warranty, although I couldn’t easily find details on how to file a warranty claim. I did notice that Green Pursuit focuses on recycling plastic and electronic waste, which I like. I’m not sure how much recycled material is in this product, but I appreciate the environmental mindset. Overall, this feels like a well-built, useful emergency tool. My advice is simple: buy one, keep it in your car, check the charge every few months, and you’ll be glad you have it when you need it.
