Customers love the Huntsman V2's high-quality build, responsive and quiet keys, and comfortable wrist rest. Many appreciate the linear switches and convenient media controls. However, some find the RGB lighting less bright than expected and the software somewhat problematic. A few also mention the price point as a potential drawback.

A great wired keyboard. Zero delay and for me a perfect option over wireless. And everything you would expect from Razer.

Good, but the Razer software needed to control the RGB is really taxing on my PC. So I uninstalled it and now I can’t control the RGB settings at all and my mouse and keyboard won’t sync anymore.

Super quite keyboard. Do wish it had the RGB wrist pad like some of their other boards. For the price that should be included.

This is not as good as the $50 evga keyboard i got. It feels mushy like a membrane keyboard. You would push a key and it feels like it takes a half a second to com back up.

I wanted to preface this by saying that I was unable to supply pictures for this review because I'm currently in-between phones right now and do not have my camera available. I was waiting to do this review to see if that would be resolved by now, but it hasn't. So, I'm going to go ahead an review this.
I'm a huge Razer fan - always have been. I've currently got everything connected to my computer as Razer equipment. From my Raptor monitor, to my current V1 Huntsman Keyboard, my new Basilisk V3 mouse, headset stand and even mousepad. I haven't upgraded things in a few years (besides the mouse).
I seen the opportunity to get the new Huntsman V2 keyboard and thought it'd be nice for a change. I haven't used any other Razer keyboards besides their BlackWidow and Huntsman V1. I was excited to try this new version of the Huntsman and I will say - I'm definitely not let down!
The packaging is pretty basic for their keyboards. It just doesn't have the fancy "lift up flap" retail box that some have had in the past. The advertised features on this keyboard include the normal Optical Switches, Doubleshot PBT keycaps, sound dampening foam, digital dial and media keys, on-board memory and the included magnetically attachable wrist rest.
That's a lot of features and what I like to call "fluff" for the most part. I currently own the V1 version of this keyboard, so I kinda new what to expect, already. I just wanted an upgrade because the media dial on the original version of this keyboard left a lot to be desired (it just feels...rough). The sound dampening foam is probably the biggest upgrade on this keyboard and let me tell you, it does an AMAZING job. So much so, that it does make the "rattle" sound when moving the keyboard or pushing your keys even that more noticeable. But that, I can live with. Outside of this standout feature, everything else is pretty basic for this type of keyboard. They did improve the quality of the digital dial, which I LOVE. I don't really use the memory and the keycaps are actually very nice and seem to resist fingerprints, oils and smudges much more than the V1 keyboard did.
The only real complaint I had with this keyboard is that, unlike the original Huntsman, it lost the RGB on the wrist rest and around the edges of the keyboard. I think I actually prefer this? It's so weird, but it doesn't seems as "overdone" on the V2. The wrist rest does attach very lightly, so you may or may not fight to keep it attached to the keyboard itself...especially if you're heavy handed. I haven't had a problem, but I can definitely see where it could become an issue. I mean, it's not like you HAVE to use it anyway. I just felt compelled to use it on my V1 because of the RGB lighting, lol.
All said and done, I'd give this keyboard a solid 5/5 stars. Most of the "features" are pretty standard fare nowadays for gaming keyboards. But this is a first for Razer keyboards to include dampening foam, much like a lot of custom keyboards. It's great to finally see "big brand" manufacturers taking this route and I'd like to see them start implementing this as a standard across all their keyboards.

I was using G710+ with blue switches and have used K70 with red in past. I liked blue over the red before using this keyboard. It was a bit odd at first as it dampens the sound using foam but eventually I liked it. The mechanically feel but with very low noise that you can actually use this one for work.
It uses razer synapse 3.0, please note that not all past product are supported in new synapse so you may end up with two version of the app, for example the kraken headphones are still with the old app.
The current app works fine, it gives option to create macros and control the RGB aspect of it. Lookwise it is a bit subdued, K70 MKIi is much flashier to look, specially in white.
I played crysis 3 and didn't notice any lag or key misses. General typing is good as well.
Took me very less time to move from my last keyboard. It does not offer a USB port at the keyboard which I liked as that makes the cable much thinner.
Separate Multimedia keys are a must have and it comes with them including a dial for volume which is perfectly placed so you can use it without looking.
Per key RGB syncs with the mouse and create a very in sync look with the mouse. As the headphones are on a different app I am not able to sync them which is unfortunate.
A minor con is the magnetic attachment, it doesn't not stay and moves with slightest of movement, but is otherwise comfortable.
Overall seems like a great hardware.
