The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro’s main feature is its second-gen analog optical switches. These use light to detect how far each key is pressed, letting you customize actuation from 4mm down to 0.1mm. It’s similar to how analog sticks work on a controller — the deeper you press, the more input is registered. That added nuance allows for more precise control and responsiveness than traditional mechanical switches. It’s what enables Razer’s Rapid Trigger (custom reset points) and Snap Tap (prioritized directional input) features, which together make movement feel faster and more fluid — especially in twitch-heavy FPS games. Despite the advanced internals, the board keeps a clean, understated look. No screens, no macro clutter — just a solid metal top plate, three media buttons, a dial, and a wrist rest that’s too firm and doesn’t stay put. It has a more mature, low-profile aesthetic that probably won’t draw attention on your desk — and I like that. But when the lights dim, Razer’s flair kicks in. The per-key RGB lighting is bright, well-diffused, and customizable, with a finish that subtly enhances the glow without being overbearing. It’s tasteful, and it looks great. As a regular keyboard — which is still how it gets used most of the time — it’s comfortable and easy to type on. I adjusted quickly and had no issues using it for everyday tasks. In games, it’s the most responsive board I’ve used. Inputs feel immediate, with claimed latency as low as 1.7ms. Counter-strafing and directional shifts all felt tighter and more controlled. It didn’t magically boost my K/D ratio, but it made everything feel sharper and tighter— and that alone made games more fun. Now, the value question. Being a Razer product, it’s going to be one of the most expensive analog keyboards on the market. If you’re not playing competitive shooters or chasing every edge, it’s a tough sell. There are cheaper boards that offer solid performance, better acoustics, or more versatility for less. For most gamers — including myself, the V3 Pro is probably more than they need. But if you’re chasing peak responsiveness or just want the best tech Razer offers and don’t mind the price, it certainly delivers. And if you do end up getting one, you’ll probably love it.

PROS Exceptional key actuation Build quality is excellent. High-quality USB-C cable Input customization options that are easy to use Innovative Snap Tap feature for improved responsiveness Fleshed out apps (although there are multiple to download) SO-SO Palm rest is not plush, but rather hard CONS Price is not as competitive as it should be No digital LED screen, like most comparable keyboards Razer has separated itself from the competition over the years by emphasizing and leaning into RGB lights. Well, they are stepping up their game outside the lights lately. In the last few years, they've released some high-quality accessories that have helped them become one of the best choices among the sea of options. This Razer Huntsman V3 Pro embodies that idea through its quality and performance. One standout aspect is the key actuation and reset points, which enhance responsiveness. This thing truly feels like a "Pro" keyboard. I'm not much of a competitive gamer; however, my son has grown to be one, and he was immediately impressed by it. I'm more impressed with the excellent keys this has on board. They feel outstanding to type on. This keyboard is obviously catered to gamers, rather than Dads writing, so to dig into some of the features, the first one highlighted is Snap Tap. This feature is particularly noteworthy. This innovative system detects when two conflicting keys are pressed simultaneously and registers the most recent key. Obviously, this is an awesome feature for gamers who play online competitively or for fun. If you accidentally press dodge or fire at the same time? It'll know to fire if that is what you did before pressing dodge, for example. Of course, this can also backfire (no pun intended), but for the most part, it'll work to your advantage. Pairing the Snap Tap with the rapid trigger mode and an exceptionally short actuation distance makes every keystroke feel immediate and smooth. The keyboard's overall build quality is robust and sturdy. The keyboard also boasts built-in media controls, making it easy to adjust audio settings. This is such a practical feature, but I use it most when I am creating music as a hobby. The software prompts to download multiple Razer applications, which are all fleshed out and nice once you get them downloaded, but it's a wonder why there isn't just one app you download and use. The lighting app should be implemented within the keyboard settings app, for example. Back to the quality, though, the braided USB-C cable is not only resilient but also adds an extra layer of durability to the overall design. On the other hand, the palm rest is much plusher. It isn't too bad, but it's harder than every other rest I've used or currently have. It does magnetize, so it doesn't move around, which is nice. But for a $250 Pro keyboard, I'd expect the palm rest to be as plush as a mattress. All in all, Razer did a great job of providing an actual Pro keyboard that can definitely enhance the gaming experience. I just wish they'd lower the price a bit, since other brands have been able to match this quality for under $200.

After years of not using a full-size keyboard, I can honestly say now that I miss it. I miss the extra space I had, and lost, in a cramped tiny keyboard. I miss the convenience of a number pad which I didn’t realize I used so often and then had to live without it for years. It was time, time to go full retro giant-sized keyboard and back to what I had missed and was accustomed to growing up in the 80s and 90s. Being a, shall we say, super-fan of Razer peripherals, which are integrated in all my PC and laptop gaming builds, I immediately went with what I know to be some of the best products in the business, the latest Huntsman V3 Pro full-size keyboard. Since I was previously using a smaller and previous version of the Razer Huntsman keyboard, I already knew what I was in for. Razer has always built a durable keyboard catering to hardcore gamers with the latest and fastest technology. It sports a brushed black aircraft-grade aluminum top plate and textured doubleshot PBT keycaps that resist shine and fading. It comes with a magnetic, firm leatherette wrist rest making it more ergonomically sound and comfortable for long gaming sessions. The latest version is just what you would expect, and any gamer could ask for, with it’s solid, yet light build, buttery smooth keys that are much quieter than other keyboards I have used and lots of room for customization. The standout feature is the second-generation Razer™ Analog Optical Switches, which offer an adjustable actuation range from a super-sensitive 0.1 mm to a deeper 4.0 mm. This allows for an exceptional level of control, enabling users to fine-tune the feel for different games or even a comfortable typing experience. My favorite feature, somewhat of a cheat code, is the rapid trigger mode that is a game changer for first person shooters. This allows keys to reset instantly with the slightest lift of a finger (as low as 0.1 mm), enabling faster, repeated inputs and more precise movement control. There is virtually no latency with the blazing fast 8000 Hz HyperPolling rate which can give a gamer the upper hand in high-stakes competitive gaming scenarios. In Snap Tap mode, the Huntsman allows you to prioritize the latest input between two directional keys without needing to release the first one, leading to near-instant directional changes. The media controls on the top right of the Huntsman are super convenient and allowed me to get rid of another peripheral I was using for volume control on their Razer Nommo speakers freeing up precious desk space. Using the same Razer Synapse software I was already accustomed to, I was able to tinker with the extensive customization features including per-key actuation, RGB lighting, and macros. A major plus is the ability to make quick, on-the-fly adjustments to actuation and Rapid Trigger settings directly on the keyboard using hotkeys and an onboard LED array indicator which is crazy to see in real time how measures your key pressure and reduces reliance on the software once configured. Overall, I have been extremely pleased with the new Razer Huntsman V3 Pro as it is absurdly fast, highly responsive and built specifically for esports professionals and serious gamers seeking every possible competitive edge. Its advanced analog features and ultra-low latency are top-notch and I would be hard pressed to think there’s a better keyboard on the market.

Honestly, I've always been a Logitec guy for gaming keyboards. A few times over the years, I've tried other brands, but I've always came back to Logitech. After reading about the new Razer Huntsman Pro 8khz with it's adjustable optical analog keys, I thought I'd take a chance and see how it preforms. In the box, you'll get the keyboard that has an aluminum top, magnetized wrist wrest, detachable power cord, instruction booklet, quick reference card and four decals. I love the power cord. It's a USB type A to C cable that I measured at 79 inches from end to end. From past experiences all the power cords on keyboards I've used have been 72 inches or shorter and wired onto the keyboard. This cable is about seven inches longer which is very nice. If it was any shorter and hardwired, I'd have to return the keyboard due to where my pc is located and where my keyboard is. They're as close as I can get to each other, but due to my set up, a shorter cable won't work. Razer doesn't mention it anywhere that I could find, but I'm guessing you could by a slightly longer cable, say ten feet or so, and it would still work perfectly. This is something I'm planing on doing as another six inches of cable length would be great. You'll need to download the Razer Synapse software AND the Razer Chroma software. I didn't initially down load the Chroma as I thought it wasn't necessary...wrong. The Chroma software also lights up your keybaord as well as that program letting you choose any color you want for any key you want. See my pictures for my set up. The Chroma was very easy to figure out and use. Chroma can also let you use change the colors of other objects like your case lighting, mouse, mouse pad. On the software page, it gives you a whole list on what it supports. I already had my case lighting how I wanted it, so I didn't try Chroma for that. My mouse and mouse pad do not have lighting. As for the physical keyboard, it feels solidly built. The lighting brightness can be adjusted to your preference. It's easily seen in daylight, but not glaringly bright in a dimly lit room. Even at 100 percent lighting, there is very little light bleed from under the keys. The keys are a bit of a different feel from my Logitech. The Razers keys are definitely more responsive to inputs for both gaming as well as regular typing. It might just be me thinking my shots in a FPS shooter are faster, but it really seems to give me that very tiny slight edge over someone who might have a "regular" keyboard. I've been using the Razer Huntsman Pro 8 khz for about three and a half days now. I'm still fine tuning certain keys that are life or death keys I've programed into my Huntsman. I'm playing FPS like Warzone, Black Ops 6 and Battlefield 6. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase of the Razer Huntsman Pro 8khz keyboard and once I get the key stroke time more tuned in to my needs, then I'm very sure I'll be thrilled with my purchase. I would definitely recommend the Razer Huntsman Pro 8khz for anybody wanting or needing to get that tiny bit of advantage.

    Top Notch Gaming Performance

The Huntsman v3 Pro keyboard is one of the better performing mass produced keyboards on the market. It offers a strong spec sheet marrying gaming performance with customizability, presenting a strong product that's really only missing a full fledged display. Having owned well over a dozen keyboards in the past 10 years, I can confidently say that this one is one of the better performing boards on the market. The obvious banner feature here is the ability to throttle up to an 8khz polling rate. Anyone that competitively games will understand how this feature is useful. Beyond this, however, the keyboard offers analog optical switches that have a bunch of very significant benefits (that could merit their own review). Firstly, the keys have adjustable actuation point configuration, meaning you can not only set actuation point per key (for example, if you want your WASD keys to be more input sensitive than the other keys), but also set up actuation profiles. This is a hugely beneficial feature for anyone that not only games, but also conducts business with the keyboard; you can set a hyper fast actuation for gaming while setting a less touchy actuation configuration for typing. Next, the keys have "Rapid Trigger Mode", which effectively means that you can trigger the key input without having to full release the key. This was a feature I didn't realize I wanted, but as soon as I started using it in FPS games, it was immediately obvious what a beneficial feature this is. Finally, the keyboard also features "Razer Snap Tap" which allows you to actuate a second key without releasing the current key. Both of these two features provide an insanely responsive experience while gaming that I've not had previously. Coming from a Steel Series Apex Pro, this surprisingly felt like an upgrade which I was unsure of before using the Razer. You can customize more than just the keystrokes; being 2025, there's an obvious inclusion of LED lighting on this board. From what I've seen, the options for customization are quite extensive, allowing micro adjustments to fit your needs along with different themes/functions. I personally don't fully utilize LED lighting since I find busy lighting distracting, but thankfully I can set a theme to my liking as well. Overall, the LED implementation with this board is solid. There are couple of things I'd like to see improvement on. The omission of a true display on the board (in line with my previously Steel Series Apex board) would be very valuable while trying to change settings on this board. While the app can be used, it's nice to be able to change things on the fly without digging through the app. A series of keybinds helps this a bit, allowing for setting changes, but the process is complicated enough that they included a spec sheet showing the keybinds. Additionally, the media buttons on the top leave something to be desired. The volume scroll is not very ergonomic (especially compared again to the Steel Series Apex Pro), and the 3 additional buttons (which could've doubled as scroll wheels as well) are unintuitive as to what they're controlling. Again, I realize the app helps with this, but some more thought should be put into this small section of the keyboard for the next iteration. It'd also be nice to see an included accessory USB port given that this is a USB-C board that could easily integrate one, but the market trend seems to be going away from this so it's not unexpected. The last thing I'll mention is that while the keyboard including a wrist rest is a huge positive, I wish it was more padded. That's a subjective gripe on my part but I prefer padded wrist rests for long gaming and typing sessions. Overall, this is a great keyboard. It has a few things that I personally find to be shortcomings that may not be an issue for others. But it's completely undeniable that Razer has absolutely nailed the. performance aspect of this board. Even the most demanding of gamers will be satisfied with how responsive and customizable the Huntsman V3 Pro is.

The Razer Huntsman may be the best keyboard I’ve ever owned. I’ve said many times that it would take a lot to pry me away from my very dated Roccat Vulcan, but so far this keyboard has answered the call. Typing on this board is silky smooth, and the level of key customization is beyond anything I’ve ever encountered. The switches are optical, meaning they use light instead of metal contact, which makes them insanely fast and not wear down the same way traditional switches do. This is also what allows for adjustable actuation, which is just a wild feature. You can adjust key sensitivity and even set it per key, which opens up some ridiculous possibilities. There’s even a sensitivity monitor above the direction keys so you can see the pressure and speed of your keystrokes in real time. The board is wired, so it supports a true 8000 Hz HyperPolling rate. It’s ridiculously fast, and I’m guessing that’s exactly why there’s no wireless option, HyperPolling would chew through a battery way too fast. Rapid Trigger mode is another really unique feature. I haven’t used it a ton yet since I’m not gaming as much during the holidays, but the times I have tried it, it’s been genuinely cool to experience. Quality wise, this is a heavy, solid keyboard. The case feels like aluminum and the board is insulated well, so it doesn’t have that hollow, empty sound some keyboards get. It feels expensive the moment you pick it up. It also comes with a magnetic wrist rest, which I used for about two minutes before putting it back in the box. I’ve never cared much for wrist rests, but for people who do, this one seems like a nice addition. The RGB for some reason seems better than my other Razer keyboards (Most current one being the Joro, which btw is awesome). The colors are bright and vivid, and I had a lot of fun setting up profiles for this board. I’m really happy with how the lighting looks. My one complaint is the placement of the Menu button between FN and CTRL. I don’t know why, but I hit it constantly, and it got annoying enough that I disabled the key entirely. I’ve never had that issue on any other keyboard, so it really stood out to me. All in all, this is everything you’d expect from a keyboard at this price. I’ve been using it daily for a week and I’ve loved every minute of it. My Roccat Vulcan is still plugged in, but it’s been sitting in the background a lot longer than I expected, and I honestly don’t think it’s coming back as my main board anytime soon. This is one of the most perfect keyboards I’ve ever come across, and it’s insanely comfortable for me to type on. I can type well over 100 wpm, so I’m picky about how a keyboard feels, and I’ve slowly fallen in love with this one.

Overview: I’ve been searching for a gaming keyboard recently. I’m familiar with the Razer brand since there’s a Razer store in my local mall, and my kids already use Razer keyboards. I like the compact size of an 80% keyboard because it saves desk space, but since I’ll also be using this for work, having a number pad is definitely useful. The design really stands out. The top plate is made from aircraft grade brushed black aluminum, giving it a premium feel. The wrist rest has a leatherette surface and attaches magnetically—though the magnet isn’t very strong, you can still feel it snap into place. The keyboard connects via a braided USB C to USB A cable, which feels durable. Software: Setup was quick. After downloading Synapse and Chroma, I was up and running in minutes. Synapse handles hardware configuration (macros, shortcuts, etc.), while Chroma controls the lighting effects. At first, I found it a little confusing to have two separate apps—it would be nice if everything were managed in one place—but I understand why they split them, given the depth of options. The customizable lighting is fantastic. You can create unique color patterns, though I’m still experimenting to find my favorite. For now, I’ve settled on a static green because it’s less distracting than moving colors. Putting it to the test: The first thing I noticed was how buttery smooth the keys feel—night and day compared to my old keyboard. While I’ve enjoyed the clickiness of other boards, this smooth keystroke is incredibly satisfying. The keyboard feels solid with no wobble, rattles, or odd sounds. With the flip out legs, you get two height options for comfort. After a few days of use, I’ve grown to really appreciate it. Playing Titanfall 2 felt much easier compared to my old keyboard. One standout feature is the ability to adjust actuation height and trigger sensitivity on the fly. It’s a powerful option, though I didn’t need it for the game I was playing. The volume knob and dedicated control buttons are also very handy—the first two buttons next to the knob can even be programmed for macros. Overall: This is a great keyboard and worth the price. The keys feel excellent—quiet but with just the right amount of feedback. It’s lightweight yet solid, staying firmly in place without sliding around like cheaper boards. The volume knob and programmable buttons add real convenience. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but considering how rarely you buy a gaming keyboard, it feels like a “buy once, cry once” purchase.

Razer has always been a brand I can get behind when it comes to peripherals, I have had a few keyboards and mice over time, plus Razer was also my go to for my kids setups as I knew their reliability. I was using my Destiny 2 Ornata Keyboard for years! In the box you got the keyboard itself, wrist rest, USB-A to USB-C cable, cheat sheet and manual. Quick to plug in, but you definitely want to install the Razer applications to setup your RGB (I mostly keep it on the B). Mechanically the keyboard is well built and solid, the keys are quiet and have a range of actuation that is adjustable allowing you to configure the Quick Actuation point, which is configurable on the keyboard itself with a key combination and the turn of a dial. The is a sequence of lights that shows when pressing the key right above the arrow keys that shows you the depth of press. Rapid Trigger and Snap Tap can be adjusted by taping another key along with function as well. The keyboard is really smooth when gaming, I have been enjoying my experience while gaming with it in Arc Raiders and recently trying out the new Destiny 2 content. I was having a little issue getting a controller to work when play a twin stick shooter but found in the Razer Synapse I needed to change the WASD mapping to avoid overwriting as the default input. A plus with this keyboard is how quiet the keys are, the wife will use my computer for a few things and has complimented the feel of the Huntsman V3. It isn't as loud for her when she is trying to type things and be on the phone as it doesn't get picked up similar to a recent keyboard I had. There is a bit of fine tuning you can do on this keyboard, I kept it mostly simple, just got it into a place that allows me to game, but I will likely adjust the actuation point a little more and take advantage of the faster keypresses. Love that this is a ten key also! Not a big fan of TKL as I always use it for my pin at sign on or random numerical inputs. This keyboard by Razer is definitely a winner!

Gaming and Typing Keyboard with all bells and whistles The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8-KHz Gaming Keyboard feels absolutely amazing, serving as both a full-size typing (during my workdays) and gaming keyboard (for all hours before or after workdays), which is exactly what I was looking for. The included wrist rest snaps to the keyboard magnetically and works really well regarding ergonomic support for the wrists. The keyboard works right out of the box, but since I had been using the Razer Viper v3 Pro gaming mouse, it updated my already installed Razer Synapse software the moment I plugged it in, so I'd be able to customize the keyboard. Though the factory settings work well, it's best to create your own profile to take advantage of all the many customizations it offers, starting perhaps with the lighting patterns and colors, followed by rapid trigger and actuation (0.1 - 4.0 mm adjustable actuation range), where you can set the sensitivity of the keys (highly sensitive keys easily cause typing errors) for ultrafast repeated inputs, and the hyper-polling rate (defaults is set to 8 KHz; note that running this keyboard at 8 kHz uses a considerable amount of CPU, possibly resulting in a higher fan speeds). The keys feel snappy with audible clicks ("a dense foam layer provides enhanced acoustics") as you type and press, and there is an LED display above the cursor keys that shows the amount of pressure you used. You can trigger the keys with just light touches as opposed to pressing them all the way down, and you can adjust them as needed (actuation height is anywhere from 0.1 to 4.0mm as discussed before). Overall, this is a high-end gaming keyboard that offers many features compared to other gaming keyboards (as such, you may want to spend some time fine-tuning your keyboard through the Synapse software). As a fan of Razer products, I give this keyboard an enthusiastic thumbs-up.

Razer - Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz Full Size Wired Analog Optical Linear Switch Gaming Keyboard Summary: Lightning Fast and Precise Klick-o-board. Use: I use my computer for work and for gaming. I work from home, so my use is pretty much all day and then at night when I play games. I've never chosen gaming keyboards because I never really understood the benefits. But the Huntsman has changed that for ever. This has a sleek form factor and offers superior responsiveness. I can quite literally see the sensory feedback each key provides even as I gently position my fingers over the keys and with the slightest of contact. This takes some getting used to if you don't configure the keyboard for your various use cases. You can use the Razer Synapse software or the keyboard itself to switch between various configuration profiles or enabling/disabling top features such as actuation (key depress sensitivity), "Snap Tap" (key combination input prioritization), and "Rapid Trigger" (release and repeatedly press keys faster). The standard convenience (configurable) controls such as volume, overlay menu, Windows task view, etc. are right on the keyboard along with a small status pad showing the sensitivity of keystrokes and state of the various features. Use Fn+(Ins-PgDn) to quickly swap between preset profiles. Pros: * Clickity-Clack. This keyboard sounds amazing. The keys feel wonderful and provide the perfect amount of resistance while typing. When gaming, the actuation configuration allows for highly responsive movements - something that is taking some getting used to for me! * Design. They keyboard looks great. There isn't any unnecessary frill - everything that is there is useful. The keyboard is optimized for gaming and so the size of the keyboard isn't as full sized as I might like - but when the distance of travel for my fingers can mean life or death, I can appreciate why. The solid aluminum framing and the materials and density contribute to the product's feeling of being well made. I quite love the sound and feel of the keys. It's been a while since I've used a keyboard that's felt like this. * Features. Actuation, Snap Tap, Rapid Trigger, and profile swaps allow for extreme levels of customization for your game play. * Software. The Razer Synapse software is a bit confusing to use at times. The level of customization and integration means that the UI must necessarily have a lot of stuff. But, once you get used to it, it becomes less of an issue. The software lets you configure your profiles along with the Razer Chroma settings for the custom colorization of your keys. * Ergonomics. The magnetic palm rest is a bit firm for my taste. However, it is needed for me and its magnetic nature makes it easy to reposition, clean, and use as needed. The keyboard has the standard set of two-tier rear legs to allow for the proper adjustment of keyboard angle for you. The angle directly impacts the sound of the keyboard and the level of effort that is required for you to type. Find the positioning that fits. * Precision. While I am still playing with and adjusting to the available level of precision for my use, I can say that this unit is just WOW. Cons: * Price. I understand why the price tag. It is worth every penny if you play games where input latency can cost you your game. Thankfully, that isn't a daily requirement for me - so if it's features aren't a must for you, this might be a little hard to swallow. I would have liked a more comfortable palm rest and a more finely adjustable set of rear-legs.

I received free product from Best Buy. The Razor Huntsman v3 Pro 8KHz is an exceptional keyboard with many interesting features to set it above the rest. They keys are well textured, with a good tactile press, and manageable muted clicky noise. Eceptional responsiveness, adjustable actuation depth, and toggleable rapid triggering allow you to fine tune your profiles for any use. Snap tap while situational can feel very good in games where fast precise movement is required. The build feels sturdy with a solid aluminum top plate and plenty of weight to keep the keyboard in place through any use. I find the overall key height very good for everyday use or for gaming. The included wrist rest while comfortable enough, feels a little cheap and flimsy. All keys have surprisingly bright backlights that can be synched to your computer and games in all the expected ways, with an additional array of indicators above the arrow keys to help you adjust settings on the fly. The keyboard on its own is an incredible product, with the only real thing holding it back being the software, Razor Synapse. Synapse tends to use disproportionate amounts of computer resources, and forget which profile is active. The easiest thing I’ve found is just loading a few profiles onto the onboard memory and only using Synapse when I need to edit them. Overall I’m very happy with it and will likely be using it as my main keyboard.

Just another keyboard? Not so fast. They are not all created equal. The Huntsman V3 Pro is a standout keyboard in almost every way. Feature after feature, it’s a winner. To begin, the feel of a keyboard is subjective and each user has their own experience. I can share that the three people in my house that used this keyboard all loved it. We all used it from basic keyboarding to hardcore gaming and we all loved it. The keys feel great and respond perfectly. They just feel right. The quality and construction of the keyboard is excellent. Clearly top of the line materials were used and I’d expect this keyboard to last for many years. It is rugged and super durable. The top plate is made of aluminum and feels great. The keys are easily visible and the print on the keys is the perfect size. The available colors projected by the keyboard are outstanding. The colors are clear and bright. Both my boys loved the rapid trigger mode for their hardcore gaming. They both said they never missed a beat. Neither did I. The adjustable height keys make this truly a full customizable keyboard. The magnetic wrist support makes this the perfect keyboard. Overall, I could not ask for more. From basic keyboarding to hardcore gaming, this keyboard has it covered. It does it all and it does it at a super high level. Highly recommended!!!!

Great for gaming, not for typing

This is a very nice keyboard, but maybe not the best fit for me. It takes some getting used to particularly as I haven’t primarily been a mouse and keyboard gamer, but it feels good to use, looks and feels very premium, and has a plethora of customization options. Interacting with it is at times a bit overwhelming as there is so much that can be adjusted and tweaked that it is hard to know where to begin. I don’t feel like Razer’s software is very user friendly, so it took much longer than it should have just to get the lighting working right for me. It is also not a very easy keyboard to type with, the keys are designed for repeated presses and sensitivity intended for gaming and not with anything else in mind. As I type this now on it, I am struggling a great deal to not hit the wrong keys since the throw distance is so high. It is quieter than previous gaming keyboards I have tried in the past, but still very loud and clicky compared with my work keyboard. I believe given enough time I will be able to get more accustomed to it and be able to use it more fully. If you are a PC gamer who prefers mouse and keyboard gaming, this will surely be a great fit. It has all the features I know are important, wired for low latency, optical switches with high sensitivity, fully adjustable settings and mappable presets, and RGB colors. Just don’t buy this if you plan on doing a lot of word processing on it.

Optical switches are great, keys are tall

First of all, the optical switches are amazing. I’ve generally always used mechanical for the click feedback but this has me sold on the new wave of optical linear switches. The most surprising thing about this keyboard was the keycap height. I have about 10 keyboards at the house and this keyboard has the deepest well when the key was depressed. Now it means that you get very definitive feedback when typing but I definitely felt I had to lift my finger out of each key to move to the next as otherwise my fingers would drag against the surrounding key edges. This makes it really clear when typing fast but feels like you have to lift your fingers in an exaggerated motion. Overall though it’s a great keyboard, great actuation and standard high quality setup through Razer with various color options and customizations. Wrist rest is comfortable and honestly you can probably replace these with shorter keycaps if you need a more “normal” key press feeling. The responsiveness is super high and playing in shooter games, you can tell you’re getting fast interactions overall.

Razer has always been known for their RGB gaming peripherals. With this particular full size keyboard they are catering towards the "PRO" gamer. You get all the necessary hardware and technology that will get you to the "PRO" level of gaming sessions without all the unnecessary bells and whistles that would price this out for many everyday gamers. Your definition of pro level may differ. Honestly, I think this is still high level consumerism. The pricing itself is a bit more on the higher end, I'd recommend buying this on sale sub $200 or so. You can get more premium options that might not be as fast response times but can do the job for gaming. You get a solid keyboard. Though, it does have plastic like components and fake leather feeling wrist rest, it should make things very usable long term. Each keypress feels great and you can even customize it further with the actuation points in the Razer Synapse app. Quickly customize your wired polling rate, switch dead zones, lighting, and gaming profiles. My experience with Razer Synapse has been 50/50. I know I can setup to turn on profiles based on if there is only a game being played but it throws me to another profile I was not expecting. It even goes as far as not giving me back lit keys at times. There may be some configuration settings I need to look into but this isn't something I want to investigate and spend so much time fixing when all I want to do is game. With time, you will really come to like the fast responsiveness in game. Customize your settings as you see best suit your gaming style. The small hiccups I am sure can get resolved with future updates. For now, I want to state that Razer has a good gaming keyboard for responsiveness and feel. I wouldn't jump to upgrading if you already have a decent gaming keyboard but if you were looking for great specs "on paper", your mileage might vary based on your gaming style if you were to really feel the differences in response times.

I got this hoping it would feel better than a mechanical keyboard. The keys are as smooth as butter. Performance seems great. Palm rest is comfy. Great choice for the money.

As of now i'm not 100% use to this keyboard yet but down the line I can tell it will be great. Going from MX switches to this is a big difference in feel. So that will take some time getting use to. But the amount of options this keyboard offers is great. The price tag is steep but for the same features from others, it will be the same price. So it fits right with them

This keyboard is seriously quick — the 8KHz polling rate makes every key press feel instant, and the switches feel really smooth. Typing and gaming on it has been a joy. My only small complaint is the wrist rest. I wish it wasn’t plastic because everything else feels so high-quality. Even with that, I’m really happy with my purchase. It’s a great keyboard and definitely feels like a solid investment.
