The portability factor is a definite plus! (when compared to lifting, positioning and stabilizing an a/c unit into a window) .. It is still necessary to run the vent out a nearby window - and initially a bit of a challenge to keep the duct in place at both ends. But with some improvising, it works pretty good!

Was disappointed that best buy could not help with the missing parts and instead directed me to the manufacturer. The unit was missing 2 of the 4 wheels and I got frustrated with trying to reach someone that I propped the unit up with a block of wood so it would be level.....as far as the cooling side...this unit works great and blows very good.

Good airconditioner, but: 1. The windowkit is too short for balcony (you need to buy some additional material). 2. Very noisy (the manual says that the noise level is 47 dB, but it's impossible to sleep). Using before going to sleep. The noise is the worst thing for me. If you don't care about noise you can buy it))

As far as the unit itself it's great works well easy to set up The unit came in the box was a little messed up and when I took it out of the box one of the wheels was broken up I bought a new wheel and there are no problems

Ordered on sale in store pick up, quick ship but opened at home to discover not all parts for installation were in box. Also, though no damage to outside shipping container there was broken parts. I have read other reviews with same problem, wish I had listened.

disappointed to receive my store pick up to get home and find 2 broken wheels and a main exhaust adapter piece missing. Tried calling manufacturer to get help only to be redirected to a website after giving all my information to someone who I couldn't understand nor could they understand me. How well does it perform.?? Still trying to get parts to test it out

This unit arrived at my house in a battered and broken shelf display box. I thought, "Considering the item was more than $200 they could have sprung for an extra box or shipping protection. Nah, it'll be fine." I was so very wrong. I set it up and plugged it in. And nothing. It just blinked at me. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Still blinking, but this time it had an error code of E1 displayed. I consulted the owner's manual. It said that E1 refers to the unit's inability to detect the current room temperature. The fix was to cycle power and if it doesn't fix it then the unit needs replacement. I'm not totally sure if it was the manufacturer or the shipping, but either way I have to endure another night with out the AC.

Using this on a 420 sq ft room with vaulted ceilings. It cools the room down a bit, definitely cooler closer to the unit. The unit shipped direct from BestBuy.com and the packaging was a bit beat up, but everything seems to work okay (no internal damage).

Does the job. Perfect size for my 400 sq ft condo. Quiet. $ is also good. I also like the wheels so I can store it easily. Remote control is a bonus.

Don't recommend it it works really bad hello you there

This AC is doing the job! It cools off the entire back end of the home!

I had another exact same AC but it was branded "Newair" instead of RCA. That one is 3 years old and still going strong. Saw this "RCA" one pop up on Deal of the Day and grabbed it. So far so good. Works great cooling down my 500 sq ft room.

We had a 10,000 Honeywell that kept the room cooler but put it in a different room got this 12,000 but took it back because it sucked

The is a very good air conditioner. It has a very good cooling capacity and is very quiet.
