I’ve owned A ring doorbell for the past four years, but had the first generation and I’ve been wanting to upgrade. So I bought the ring doorbell, pro 2 when it went on sale for Black Friday. It is considerably smaller than the first generation one so I did have to drill new holes into the masonry of my house. However, it was very easy. The ring doorbell app walks you through the entire process of of the set up, including video animations. The angled mounting bracket was perfect for my house as I needed that for the location of the doorbell. next, connecting the tiny doorbell wires is perhaps the hardest part of the process because they are so tiny to hook it onto the screws of the doorbell. But after five minutes of Messing around I was able to connect it. Once connected, connecting the doorbell to the ring app was a cinch and instantly recognized and connected through my network. It auto updates so that takes an extra few minutes, but everything is automatic and you just have to wait a couple of minutes. As far as performance is concerned, the ring doorbell pro two is a huge upgrade over the original. Visual clarity and resolution of the fish Lens and viewing field is fantastic. My wife was impressed with the improvement. Additional features, including Birdseye view when when viewing footage is a cool feature. Night vision and clarity are great as well and love the upgrades. Also, with the purchase, Ring offered a free skin for the doorbell. And I selected one that matched our door. Very nice. The recordinglinkage to our ring video Camera is seamless Overall well worth improvements. I highly recommend this product.

We recently upgraded our home security system to the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2, and it’s been an excellent addition. Although the installation process was a bit of a challenge, it went smoothly. Since this model is wired, I first shut off power to our existing doorbell and followed the included instructions to connect the Ring to the old doorbell wires. Thankfully, everything I needed was included in the box, including a handy little screwdriver. Once I had it mounted and turned the power back on, the device powered up and guided me through the setup process using the Ring app on my phone. Within minutes, I had a clear live view of my front porch. The video quality is outstanding. I can easily spot packages left on the ground and even discern the visitor’s entire face from head to toe. The motion detection on the Ring Pro 2 is incredibly smart. Initially, I was concerned about receiving constant false alerts from cars or pedestrians on the sidewalk, but the customizable motion zones solved that issue. I drew an area specifically covering my front walk and porch, and now I only receive notifications when someone actually approaches my door. The system is accurate and quick; I usually get the alert on my phone and Alexa devices a second or two before the person even rings the bell. To enhance our security, I integrated the Ring Pro 2 with our Echo Show. When the doorbell rings, the Echo automatically displays the camera feed and announces the visitor’s presence. My wife and I find this feature incredibly useful. We can now politely yell “be right there!” through the two-way audio, regardless of our location within the house or even if I’m out in the yard. The two-way talk is clear, and I’ve used it to instruct delivery folks to place packages in a safe spot. They often seem surprised to hear a voice from the doorbell, but it’s been a valuable tool. One incident truly solidified our decision to invest in this security system. A few weeks after installation, late one night, we received a notification and noticed someone we didn’t recognize lurking near our porch. The Ring Pro 2’s motion detection system promptly alerted us, allowing us to take immediate action. I was able to activate the built-in siren from the app, which effectively chased the prowler away. The fact that I had clear video recordings of the incident (including the faces of the individuals involved) provided us with valuable evidence that we presented to the local authorities. The only downside is the subscription required to access recorded videos beyond the live view. After the 30-day trial period, I decided to opt for the Ring Protect plan because I believe it’s worth the extra few dollars per month for the video history and advanced features. Now, I have all motion events securely stored in the cloud, which provides me with peace of mind. Additionally, since it’s wired, if your existing doorbell chime doesn’t work with the Ring system, you might need to use the Ring Chime or an Alexa device for alerts. In my case, I disabled my old chime and now rely solely on our Alexa speakers for notifications. Overall, this video doorbell has significantly enhanced our home security and convenience. It’s like having an ever-vigilant sentinel at the door, giving me a sense of connection and control over who visits my property. This peace of mind is priceless for our well-being.

I purchased the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 as an upgrade to the older model I had, and it has been a game-changer for home security and convenience. The video quality is outstanding, providing crisp, clear images. I'm particularly impressed with the head-to-toe video feature, which ensures I never miss a detail. The advanced motion detection and custom motion zones have been incredibly effective. The Ring app is user-friendly. I appreciate the additional features like the Bird’s Eye View and 3D Motion Detection, which provide a more comprehensive understanding of what's happening around my property. I’ve had a similar camera doorbell by a different brand, somewhat cheaper than the Ring doorbell, but after a while I just had to make the switch. The Ring doorbell video quality is so much better, the viewing angles are much better, and the night vision capabilities are great. The motion detection is consistent and the person-detection is accurate. I was even able to hook it up to work with the standard doorbell chime already installed in the house! At night the ring around the button lights up for people to see and know where to press. It This doorbell is perfect and is everything I could’ve wanted. Absolutely worth the money and would never look back.

This replaced a Ring Doorbell 4 that i had installed at my beach house. I was having issues with the battery failing on the Ring Doorbell 4 and I needed another solution. This Ring Wired Doorbell Pro is great. Install was easy with 2 wire leads that I wired with a separate plug in power supply. I used a Ring Chime Pro for the doorbell to ensure no further power issues could be in play. Setup works great now, better video quality and faster response with seemingly better wifi reception now. The Ring Wired Doorbell Pro does have some additional features like a birdseye perimeter tracking and the lens is a bit different in view. They're nice to have features but the real value for those upgrading to thjs device are the video quality and performance increase for more of a real time notification with little to no lag. Highly recommend the upgrade.

Works good, but I think it’s overpriced (upwards of $300, and now ring just increased their annual fees) for what it does. If anyone comes to my front door and gets their face fairly close, they may be identifiable, but that means they have to enter the property from the front only. We could have bought their not as new, system and got a bunch more cameras and devices and would have spent about the same. They tell me this is the newest and best they have, Is that what I needed? Seems like we would have been better off buying a little older(2021) unit, and gotten more bang. Anyhow, we will keep it and add more with time, and this whole notion that it helps deter criminal types, may be possible, but I’m still not convinced they do much to help. Time May tell! Oh ya, it does have good photo in the dark or light with little or no latency issues, it that better than the 2021 version? I don’t know, I didn’t buy last years model. Easy install and set up.

I recently purchased the Ring Pro Doorbell Camera, and I can honestly say it’s worth every penny. The installation process was quick and easy, even for someone who isn’t particularly handy. Once set up, it immediately gave me a sense of added security and peace of mind. The video quality is excellent, the motion alerts are reliable, and the app makes it simple to monitor everything from anywhere. It truly makes me feel protected and in control of my home’s security. Highly recommend!

Yes it was expensive but the product is easy to install withgreat clear video instructions right on your phone. The image quality, ease of app set up, accuracy of motion detection, intercom functionality etc. make it well worth the investment

I love our new camera. It tells me when I have a package at my door. It has not discontinued from our router so far. Picture is clear. Also seams to have a gas response time when someone approaches our door. I actually purchased this camera after purchasing a Pan and tilt camera for our chicken coupe seeing the quality of that camera. The Ring camera’s purchase was well worth it. It also looks good next to the door. We also use this camera to help us with our autistic child because it will alert us when he goes outside. We have a camera on each exit. Just wish I could change the ring tone for the back door so from the sound I could tell which door someone is at without looking at the app.

Bought updated Ring doorbell camera to replace old one. What a difference, video is so crisp and clear. It appears to video a farther distance. It also sends alerts say....red car has been detected, black and white dog detected etc. Definitely a huge upgrade from older model. Easy to install it...if i can do it anyone can. I definitely recommend

I am so happy that I chose the Ring Pro 2 wired doorbell camera! The picture is crystal clear! It is so nice to have the security! I highly recommend this product! Had a Ring Doorbell 2 that was almost six years old, the plastic started to crack and the motion sensors stopped working. No complaints, through the very hot summers and mild winters it did the job for all those years. Picked up the Pro 2 since it was on a Labor Day sale. We also purchased the retro fit kit adapter plate from Ring, install was easy and I didn't have to drill any new holes. This is definitely an upgrade, the video looks great and has a much wider view. Ring also sends you a promo code for a new faceplate, overall we are happy with the purchase.

This is my first Ring Doorbell Chime and it’s awesome. Love that it’s easy to use and how it alerts you when someone’s at your door. I also love that you can adjust to how far or near you can set the perimeters.

Ring door bell pro2 was easy to install with the existing wiring of my old traditional door bell. Now I get notifications of any movement in the range I set. You can have two way conversations with the delivery person. The quality of the videos are outstanding..

I already had a ring doorbell installed at this front door location but it was due to be replaced! It was very easy to remove and re-install the new system! It only took me about 40 minutes to install and we were back and running! So easy I decided to replace the back door ring doorbell also!! It’s a great system!!!

Just replaced the Nest doorbell with this after a glitch full experience. There’s no comparison at all, wider angle view and exceptional video quality. I was swayed by the best sexy view but was disappointed by the glitches. A little expensive though!
