Customers are saying

Customers highly value the good quality, affordable price, and user-friendly design of the 30' Speaker Wire - 16AWG. Many customers mentioned that the sound quality is amazing and the length is just right for their needs. While some found the wire to be a bit expensive, most agreed that it is worth the price. There were a few minor complaints about the difficulty in seeing the markings on the wire, the thickness of the wire, and the insulation being hard to cut without damaging the wire.

Great wire..used this wire to build my new speaker wires...I also used the Monster Banana plugs which I bought from Best Buy...I saved lots of money making my own wires...I used the 16g wire....Monster banana plugs, some wire pants and some wire outer jacket covering to complete the job. The wire was easy to work with and stripped nicely...The sound of my system is topped notched...using this wire...do not waste your money on the other wire claims.

I used to fork out the "big bucks" for the Monster cable. But, I gave this Rocketfish 16AWG - Gold wire a try and was well pleased. So, save some money and get some quality cable from Rocketfish! Especially if you have a . . . L O N G run like 100 feet!

Best cable to for your Home Theater use. I only use this gage because it carries the full sound for my Klipsch Speaker System through out our Home. Klipsch Speakers are everywhere in our Home , and speaker wire has to have that weight.

Wire is Great, Hard to Read the Phase Info

I picked up this wire to connect my rear surround speakers and a Rocketfish wireless rear speaker kit. The wire is much easier to manipulate than the higher grade speaker wire, and I felt it would be sufficient for the rear channels through the wireless connection on the Rocketfish. My only complaint is that, while the wire is marked to indicate proper phase, the writing and identifying dots are very small and difficult to make out in normal lighting conditions. I had to work pretty hard to get everything connected properly. Partly this is my old eyes, but they could make it a lot easier by marking the wire with a bright stripe or some other easy identifier. Other than than, the wire is great and easy to work with, and much less $$ than the monster wire.

Good speaker wire, definitely does the job. My complaint with it has nothing to do with performance . What I should have realized when I bought it was that they wires are identical and when I went to hook it up ( I ran 40 feet of it) I had to triple check my positive to positives when hooking up receiver and speakers. Next time I will save myself a big hassle and use duel color wires. It was a time consuming job for an outdoor/ indoor job.

Enhances quality sounds, long enough to wire my speakers up with a thin line not really too visible on my white background wall. Good value for the price.

Yes, I had some fancy Monster Wire as big as my forearm between my hi-current main amp and my main speakers. But, when I ran some new baseboards with my new floor I hooked them up temporarily with cheap wire. And guess what, I didn't hear THAT much of a difference. So I decided I didn't really need to pay the absurdly ridiculous prices Monster wants. I bought this, and it works JUST FINE. Yes you do need good wire for hi-power and quality speakers, but unless you have a thousand watts and speakers that cost 10grand, you don't need wire than costs $150 for 50 feet.

It is just plain high quality speaker wire. I replaced the speaker wire I had after I moved, because it was old, and was not 16 gauge. Wow. New, thicker speaker wire really made a difference. I'm not saying that it changed the world for me, but I believe that it made my stereo sound "better". (I don't know what "better" even means. But I would make the same purchase again.)

I purchased "Rocketfish™ - 100' Speaker Wire - 16AWG - Gold" from Best Buy to wire speakers that I was placing in my ceiling to get the best sound out of my Denon AVR-X2400H receiver (also purchased from Best Buy) with it's Dolby-ATMOS support. The Rocketfish speaker wire did not disappoint. The wire was easy to use and easy to pull to where I wanted it to go. As far as I can tell the wire delivers as good as other high-end speaker wire brands.

This is some really high quality speaker wire and the price is very good for the length you get. I bought this so I could move my receiver to a different location rather than have it sit on my desk. It's very simple to cut and strip the cable down to the copper so you can connect it to your speakers and the receiver.

I don't tend to buy brand name cables as they all essentially fill the same role provided the build quality is nominal, but Rocketfish is offered at a reasonable price and their quality is satisfactory. While this speaker wire filled the need in my Home Theater setup, it's worth noting its minor downsides. I suppose the best way to describe the plastic shielding on the wires is "gummy" (note: not sticky). It's extra thick and has a slight rubbery feel to it. This thickness is ideal for protecting the copper wire inside, though it does make trimming it a bit of a hassel. I had to go up a Guage on my wire cutters as the 16 Guage stripper doesn't line up with these extra-thick wires. It also took several "cuts," with careful rotation of the wire, in order to get through the aforementioned gumminess and remove excess shielding on the ends. Additionally, the shielding is clear, with the only distinction between positive/negative being a thin strand of print on one side. I used this printed side as the negative (traditionally black in color) and the completely blank side as the positive (traditionally red in color). Personally, I colored the negative tips with Sharpie to facilitate recognition (low visibility behind my Home Theater setup). It's a minor inconvenience, but worth noting. Functionally, this product is solid. Initial setup may simply take a bit more effort than an alternative option, but the quality itself is unquestionable.
