Love the Roku.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded my surround sound receiver and was using my XBOX One to stream Hulu, Netflix and Google Play movies (rented and owned). But anytime I tried to play anything that wasn't 5.1 and was only stereo, it would only play out of the left and right front channel, I just wanted it to simulate 5.1. I spent hours trying different setting but never got it to work. So I broke down and bought a Roku. I had bought an early (Gen 1?) Roku for my mother-in-law. Which she loves and I really enjoy too. This new one that I bought not only solved my audio issues, but is extremely fast and responsive. I love that it works with my infrared harmony remote as well. There are so many channel choices I am not sure I can find the end. I can't find a single negative thing to say about it.

Awesome Product

The 4K quality on our 4K TVs is incredible. The device itself is small and isn't an eye-sore. I have used all types of streaming devices from google to amazon and blu-ray players. The ROKU Premier+ is by far the fastest streaming device I have ever owned.

Great functionality, poor remote

The only problem we have is the remote. For some reason it seems to disconnect itself from the box periodically. We just end up taking out the batteries and putting them back in the remote and it works fine again. Started about a month after we bought it. It is a nuisance, but it works...shouldn't have to deal with that though.

Excellent streaming

Much better than using the Xbox or PlayStation consoles. Great for sports fans with apps such as Fox Sports, WatchESPN, NHL, MLB and NBA packages, and NBC sports.

Best value for the price

In my opinion is a better value for your money than the ultra as it offers most of the same features with the exception of voice search and the ability to power other devices on and off. To me that is not a deal breaker and certainly not worth paying 2x as much for.

Easy set up & I love the headphones w/the remote

Took about five minutes for it to update and I was watching my shows. It was easy to navigate and add new channels. But I especially love the headphone jack on the remote!
