Very user freindly and easy to set up but should have an upgraded remote to control volume and input.

Cutting the cable cord yet retaining TV options is what Roku is all about. This device makes it easy.

Replaced an xbox as my media consumption device. Streams great with lots of apps to choose from, almost always something to watch. I lov eit for the most part. 2 things that are a bit annoying (and may be just my specific machine) 1. The remote goes through batteries super quickly. 2. After extended watch sessions, seems to bog down and load new episodes or content slowly, a reboot usually fixes this. All in all... It was worth it for me.

This device is easy to setup and streams almost every cable channel. The remote is very simple to use & does not need to be pointed at the Roku device. The only thing missing is that it does not connect to my Slingbox, but that is because the Slingbox does not recognize the newest Roku devices,

I'm quite satisfied with the Roku itself, but for some reason the remote is going through batteries like crazy! I have to put fresh batteries in at least once a week. After a while I just downloaded the Roku app on my phone and I control it through there. I'm not sure if it is the private listening mode that does it or not. Maybe I am just doing something wrong. Also, the sound cuts out when listening to it on private mode. I've tried the earbuds that came with it, I've tried my own earbuds and earphones, and it happens with all of them. Maybe it's tied to the battery problem. Maybe there is a short in the remote somehow. Anyway it goes, it works just fine with the app on my phone so I'm happy :) The Roku box itself is great. I prefer using it for Netflix and Hulu over my Xbox because it seems to be much faster. I don't think that I have had a buffering problem yet! And the private listening mode is perfect for when I want to watch TV in the bedroom late at night and not disturb anyone.

The current generation of Roku devices are faster and smaller than ever before, and stream so much better than Smart TVs. Another plus is that Roku isn't pushing its own content like some other devices, so all channels are available through the Roku. It really is the best device at the best price for this function.

I have a smart TV with streaming apps built in... this Roku box totally blows the smart TV out of the water. This Roku item connects to the wifi alot faster, starts up faster and starts streaming content immediately, whereas the Smart TV takes a very long time to start up the app and start playing the content.

We purchased this unit because we love the Roku streaming stick, and we wanted a streaming device that could handle all of the apps we need and produce 4k HDR content. The unit looks good and has solid construction. It is extremely fast, and it works for every streaming service we wanted to use. The remote is small, light, and ugly, but it works great. The 4K HDR content looks slightly better than what our smart TV directly produces, and the WiFi range and speed are sufficient. So as compared to our Sony 4k HDR smart TV, the menu loads and works faster. Due to our provider, we couldn't have HBO GO on our TV, and we can on the Roku (Along with Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix). The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it freezes up from time to time, and I have to hit the home button and exit out. This could be the fault of the apps, but I see that as a problem with Roku to some extent because the same apps operate without problems on other streaming devices.

I bought the Premier Plus first because my old Roku box was acting up after 5 years. I ended up trading it in for the Ultra for two reasons. First, I needed it to support the higher internet speeds I was receiving through my switch to Xfinity/Comcast - the Premier Plus wouldn't recognize the higher speed stream available. This is crucial I believe for the future and 4K usage (although I am sadly still using a 1080 HDTV). Second, I lost my remote a couple of times after buying the Premiere Plus which is something I always did with my older Roku and decided the extra cost was worth it to get the remote finder. I love the remote finder on the Ultra. Otherwise, it worked great. Roku boxes are my favorite and I have tried several. Although I could see the benefit of AppleTV as well.

In my opinion, the Roku Premiere does not get as hot as the Roku Stick and works much better.

Good Collection of channels and 4K support. I don't like the comercials using their channels.

The roku works great. As I have an older sister television and hook up was easy and flawless.

I purchased a Roku 3 some time ago and it collected dust in the drawer. I purchased this one because of the 4K UHD functionionality. Set up was super easy and so far no issues. The primary reason for purchasing another roku was to get rid my extra Xfinity box and replace it with this one. Tired of pay Xfinity for renting a box. Tested out the Xfinity stream app which is in beta version but has full functionality. It works like a charm! I can access my dvr recordings, look at live tv, and picture quality is comparable to the xfinity box. Essentially it does everything the xfinity box does. I plan to buy another roku and turn in my two additional boxes to xfinity for a $ 20 reduction in my current bill.
