I bought the Roku in order to get a few streaming apps not found on my Vizio Smart TV (HBONow, MLB, etc.). It has all the apps in one place. Much more importantly, every app comes through crystal clear HD, with no buffering, loading, etc., even when connected via WiFi. This was most evident when streaming the season finale of GOT and several friends texted that their source froze up b/c of heavy demand.

Fantastic ROKU! I'm not bias but these ROKU boxes are great! I have 3Reg ROKU boxes and now the premiere ROKU and it kicks out some beauty and awesome features!!!

The Roku is the best all around media delivery device currently on the market. I am an Apple fan, and own 4 AppleTVs but I purchased a Roku so that I could have access to my Amazon Prime content. I have not been disappointed! The problem with AppleTV and Amazon FireTv is that they are both locking you into their content ecosystems, whereas Roku is purely a hardware manufacturer and they desire to make all content available to the end user. With Roku I can access my amazon Prime content, I've digitized my movie collection using VUDU (Google "disc to digital"), I have my choice of Playstatuon Vue or DIRECTV Now or SlingTv, I have Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc. Basically I have access to anything I want with Roku and I can have the content delivered in 4K HDR (where applicable)! Th ONLY drawback to the Roku device is the somewhat dated interface. The AppeTV is the clear winner in the user experience, as the Roku looks like it's running an interface software from 2005. The other drawback to the interface is the lack of a text to speech via the remote. When utilizing a search bar function in one of the apps it is quite handy to have voice capability (like the AppleTV) instead of having to click letter by letter to enter a search term. These are minor gripes and definitely shouldn't dissuade anyone from purchasing this excellent device.

Was very easy to install. Activate an account first; you will get a code to enter to get Roku to open.Go online for easy instructions. I watched a YouTube video.

Best buy had it at $50 during Thanksgiving. That is very good deal considering others were at least $10 more. I returned one of them as because of excitement - i had ordered two !! Almost all streaming stuff can be played and is HD.

All the streaming apps at the touch of a button, lower costs good quality and easy setup.

The Roku works fine (as advertised), but I'm not sure I can live without cable... to I find it a little hard to use, but I'm giving is a try. Cutting the cord will save me about $150/month, after I pay for Sling, HBO, and Showtime...

I no longer subscribe to cable but to a very reasonably priced streaming service. The Roku is easy to use and has a fast response time to pull up channels. This also allows me to stream on my non-smart TVs. There are many channels to add to the Roku that are free including the Roku channel which offers a nice variety of movies. I have a Roku on every TV I own.

Easy set up. Although, I didn't realize you needed to buy and HDMI cord. For the price I thought it should be included. Set up was easy. I created an online account before I set up the equipment, which I found useful during set up

Roku is the easiest streaming device on the market. Seamless interface and flawless performance. 4K streams without any issues or buffering. Highly recommend.

The Roku Premiere + is a great streaming device. I personally really like that you can connect it to your modem with a cable or you can connect it wirelessly.

My smart tv didn’t have all of the apps I wanted so I was looking for some streaming device. I got it on sale on Black Friday. It’s been much better than expected. Only downfall is that I don’t think I can get a YouTube app on it.

I replaced my Roku XS with the new Roku Premier+ as an upgrade and getting ready to replace my 1080P TV with a new 4K TV. I cannot believe how much faster this is compared to the old XS. Downloads are only a few seconds compared to many seconds with the XS. This is the 3rd Roku I have purchased, I also have a Roku Stick. The old XS has been relocated to a TV I have in my screened in deck for summer viewing.

I cut the cord from cable about 6 months ago. I really like the Roku for the streaming apps they have. It is really simple to setup. I recommend this model.

I needed a base that allowed for hardwire and not wireless. This has a ethernet port which makes it faster and more reliable. Veryhappy with the purchase.

I purchased this even though I have a blu ray player with a capable streamer built in. The wi-fi on this is great as it holds the signal in my basement which is two floors and 50 feet away from my router. The navigation is excellent and everything works smoothly. Now, I'm just hoping that Xfinity TV will work with Roku soon so that I'd have all channels available to me without having to use a cable box.

I really enjoy this - it is easy to use (even the ‘older generation’) and to figure out. The headphones fit nice and snug. Overall I am happy with purchase.
