I purchased this Roku to replace an older model. This is definitely a sharper picture and it moves much faster when choosing apps and what to watch. We are very pleased !

For as long as I could remember, I have subscribed to a cable or satellite TV provider (including Comcast, Time Warner, Charter, AT&T U-Verse, and most recently DirecTV). After receiving yet another bill over $150, I decided it was worth trying out this concept of "Cutting the Cord." I did my research and came to a decision on purchasing the Roku Premiere+ as my hub while subscribing to Playstation Vue, Hulu, & Netflix. Now, I'm paying less than $100 per month, have the top of the line package with Playstation Vue (including NFL Redzone, FS Midwest for Cardinals/Blues games, HBO, and Showtime), Hulu (no commercials version), and Netflix and I could not be happier. It takes a little getting used to and I would strongly advise you make a list of all of your favorite shows before making the switch, but I will not be going back to cable or satellite. Roku provides a central hub that's simple and intuitive. The quick buttons at the bottom of the remote also makes it easy to turn on Hulu or Netflix without needing multiple clicks. Whether you have Playstation, Sling, Hulu, Netflix, etc., Roku does a great job of acting as the hub. If you have an advanced TV like UHD, SUHD, HDR, etc., I would recommend the Roku Premiere+. Otherwise the Roku Streaming Stick would be my alternative recommendation. My only gripe is fast forwarding and rewinding on Playstation Vue since I cannot visually see where I am in the show, so it's difficult to bypass the commercials - one of the reasons why I opted for the no commercials version of Hulu which has all of the major networks.

Just got this to upgrade from a first generation Roku. It is instant love. It works quickly, has great picture quality, and is easy to use the new interface. I’m happy.

Love it and has everything I want The google chrome didnt have as much as the roku and this is the best price. Very happy and I donj't have any problems with streaming .

I bought this on sale during Black Friday and I’m glad I did. I can get a la carte of live shows I want from Sling TV. I can cut the cable cord and save money. I don’t watch a ton of tv and when I do watch tv i only look at a few stations. So I have no need for spectrum cable. My first yr promo is done and the price went up with spectrum. We all know the price will continue to go up for the same service you get. This is what happens when monopolies occur in the cable tv business. Roku is easy to set up and the tv channels look great on Sling TV. I will also watch the 4k tv channels since I have a 4k tv.

I've used all revious geenrations of Roku. This model is the fastest compared to previous ones. Similar interface with optimized browsing experience. Recommend to buy.

I bought this for my sister for Christmas and she absolutley loves it!! She said there are so many options and that there is never any lag with the speed and picture!

This device is a great choice if the Roku ultra has feature that you don't want or need but still want the 4k and HDR. Works great on my 70" Vizio E-series.

This is my third Roku device now. I had an original one that was just getting too slow. The new premiere has a quad core processor and have had no issues whatsoever. I have one at home and in my office. The number of channels is phenomenal and the picture quality is great, even with many other devices using up wifi bandwidth at the same time. I highly recommend it for ease of use and quality.

This an upgrade from my Roku 3. It is much faster! I have Spectrum cable and can use the Spectrum App to replace my cable boxes. Works great with my 4K tv.

Works great with easy operation. The remote has earphone jack for silent listening with supplied earphones. There is almost too many for you to watch.

Incredibly easy to set up, can be moved from one tv to another if desired. I have a Samsung smart tv, if that matters in ease of set-up. Organized well, easy to navigate, access to several streaming devices. I was only disappointed to learn how many programs aren't free. There is a cost, which is marginal, but they add up. There are many free stations for kids, a few news stations that are free but regular programming has a price, which varies. To make the best use of the Roku, you will need to have a subscription to something like Sling or Netflix.

This is my first ROKU after using Apple TV. It was easy to hook up and find the apps I wanted to use. The remote app works well. So far I have no complaints. On sale it was less than one third price of 4K Apple TV.

I had the roku 2 before this one and I absolutely can tell a difference in the picture quality and the speed. Really glad I purchased this roku.

I have been a Roku owner for years and added this to mate to the new Sony 4K tv. Easy setup, great user interface and RF/Bluetooth type remote.

I was trying to watch Netflix on Dish and it kept freezing up or wouldn't load. I bought this Roku premium and hooked it up to my TV and WiFi. We were able to watch Netflix without any problems. Every now and then we have a problem, but it isn't the Roku's fault. It's the internet connection. I think it is a great product and gives you access to plenty of TV. I think I'm going to cancel Dish and save myself about $50 a month.

Super easy set up. Basically plug and play get bonus Roku channels streaming Netflix is a breeze and the point anywhere remote is awesome

I've been using Roku's ever since they first came out. I love the apps, the 'ecosystem', the ease, etc. For the last several years, I've been pretty content with my Roku2/RokuXD. It did 1080P, all the audio formats that I frequently use, and had no issues with my existing Wifi network. However, I do keep up with the Roku news...so when I saw this fella at my local BestBuy for less than $80, I knew it was a deal too good to pass up. And I'm really surprised by the difference between my old and new units. I don't have a 4k TV yet, nor do I use HDR. So that part of this device will have to wait. But I can say that navigating the interface is smoother and markedly faster. The wifi connected instantly. There is hardly any buffering anymore, and when it does it's usually my own fault (too many devices sucking from the same router channel). To recover from a buffering blip takes a second, maybe two. So much faster than the XD. And interestingly enough, there's actually more channels available for this unit--likely because of the faster processor (i.e.: Xfinity's app). Overall, it's not something I needed, or even wanted....but now that I have it, I'm 100% happy that I made the upgrade. I suspect that having 4K and/or HDR abilities on your TV will only make that happiness more significant.

Great solid unit, remote works well and the setup is easy. We bought this for a trade show and it was set up within 5 minutes and working.

Already had Roku3, bought this to take on vacation and use with the in-room HDTV. Requires power from USB, comes with a plug-in power supply, but works OK with the USB port on my tv. ROKU offers a free flexible HDMI adapter if you don't have enough room between the wall and your HDMI ports, you just need to send them an email requesting it (see the quick start guide). I got my adapter in the mail in about 4 days. Set-up is easy, same process as Roku3. Having a headphone jack mounted in the remote control is a good thing.
