After getting the Roku premiere plus I’m not sure how I lived without it. I’ve dropped my coax cable provider and started using internet cable apps and moved my media pc to a closet. Just amazing I’ve got cable, Roku official and unofficial channels, Netflix, Amazon Prime video and use the Plex app to access my media pc. I recently decided to stop using WiFi for my entertainment system and hard wired the entire house and placed (4 total) in every room with a tv and have access to everything in a small sleek box. Brilliant!!

Everyone talks about cutting the cable / satellite cord, but few have the guts to do it. After being annoyed once too often by DirecTV, we decided to take the plunge and couldn't be happier with our Roku. We went with the Premiere plus because of our new 4k TV and it being the cheapest 4k-capable option. The picture is terrific (HBO is actually clearer and sharper in Roku than it is on our TV's own smart TV app), the sound is great, and it's such a cheaper option. There are so many app/channels (admittedly not all the channels you'll get on cable) that it's easy to get lost. When you're considering cutting the cord it's important to review all your options for content provider. We went with Sling because it's cheap and doesn't included hundreds of channels we have no interest in. Now, unless you're in a certain area or city it's unlikely you'll get your local channels which is a trade-off. Instead, we picked up a simple HD antenna for about $20 and, BOOM, local live TV. You're not going to end up with all of the same channels that you get with cable or a dish, so be sure to make a list of must have channels because you might not get it, but if you're not married to a more obscure or unavailable channel Roku is definitely the way to go when cutting the cord.

After a few years of enjoying my roku...I decided to upgrade. The ne interface is better and performance is awesome. Well recommended.

We've only had Fire Sticks until deciding to change. After many reviews it seemed like the Roku was ahead of the game. It works great. I gave one less star because the menus seem a little convoluted and you can't shut if off without hooking it up to an outlet with a switch. I don't care how little electricity it sips when idle, it's still sipping electricity which seems like a very irresponsible environmental design. The TV we have this hooked up to is near the bedroom so when I can't sleep it's nice to just be able to plug the earbuds into the remote so as not to disturb this side of the house. Given its features compared to Chrome, Fire, etc. this seems to be the most bang for the buck.

This device is easy to set up, and streams a beautiful picture. Very little buffering during live events is the tip feature for me.

You can find different options to watch TV, videos, movies, etc. It’s fast, easy to configurate and it has a great image quality.

This is my third Roku but my first premium one. I have 2 Roku Express players and they are fine but this one is pretty sweet. It even accommodates earphones so I can watch at night but my husband can read without being distracted by what I’m watching. I only wish the remote had a keypad for use in streaming live tv and changing channels. The streaming is clear and the picture is beautiful on my very old Sony Bravia. It works great for a ro in which I decided not to install a cable box. I just love it.

Great picture and responds faster than my roku express. The only (minor) negative is the replacement of the Amazon button with the HBO Now button...would much rather have the Amazon button.

This Roku model is fast and easy to navigate the various screens and options. Always works; easy to use; great sale price.

Very easy to set up and offers a variety of pre-loaded choices. Remote makes it easy to navigate through the system.

Easy to set up. I have it going through an audio receiver and the sound is great. Picture looks good on the 4k tv.

Doesnt have the remote locator but has the headphone jack and 4K. Great product, does not include HDMI, get a 2.1

Way better than the previous Roku. Got it on Black Friday and it works great! Interface is good and works fast.

This is such a great device. It allowed us to finally cut the cord where we for so long wanted to get out from the expensive traditional cable (xfinity). Roku enables you to navigate between different online streaming outlets like Sling, Hulu, Amazon, you can also sign up to show time or HBO as standalone without having to buy an expensive cable package and have HBO as an add-on. Simple to navigate. Through Sling, we were able to sign up for an Arabic package.

Works great way faster than my amazon fire stick. Love the Netflix, Sling TV, and hbo now buttons on remote.

No problem setting up and using with not much of a learning curve. Has hung up a few times requiring unplugging power supply, removing batteries and then powering up again. Turning TV on and off, and volume control do not work on this model but are supposed to be available on a newer ROKU. HuLu search engine not powerful or intuitive. For example, if you wanted to watch "The Princess Diane Story" and searched "diane" you would not get results. You'd have to type in "the diane" for the show to appear in your search list. But all that said, I'm happier using the ROKU than I was using cable and satellite TV services.

Its really really fast and 4k HDR. Headphone with the remote is awesome for watching movies, games at night.

This is an excellent streaming device. I love the Roku content, interface, and also the easy to use remote.

This is my second Rouke device, the first was the stick this is better faster, etc. I plan to buy one more.
