Roku Premier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the product for the person to upgrade to 4K TV. I used Roku 3, but this is very good with my new 4K TV. It comes with a earphone and the functionality is very good, because you can watch your favorite in big screen with out disturbing others and this is a cool feature. One thing i have noticed is that it doesn't come with HDMI cable included, so need to buy a separate HDMI cable and buy a 4K supported cable will make your experience better.

Good way to get many channel choices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV for which I purchases this is not connected to any cable or antenna. It has been used only to display network pictures and videos. When I decided to make it an "active" TV I didn't want to run cable or antenna wire, so I bought the Roku Premiere Plus. It has turned out to be a good choice. I have access to more channels than I would have had via a wired connection. The Roku works well, was very easy to set up, and equally easy to use.

Great investment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku Premiere+ Streaming Media Player is a terrific product. Just need an internet hotspot connection. Only pick up one "over-the-air" network station with an HD antenna so this is now our single source for TV entertainment. While you cannot get the most main network programming in real time, there are so many other options available, including the ability the stream any digital videos you may own. Quality picture and great design.

Great product, needs a number pad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The roku stick is a must have. It makes accessing things through netflix and Amazon, etc. So easy. You can even sync your cable for live streaming. The only 2 things I didn't like are that sling tv is kind of a joke, they have two basic packages one of which has espn, and one that doesn't. Essentially, you are forced to buy both which is like 60 dollars, not including movie channels. Then, the remote doesn't have any numbers or anything, so you have to scroll through each line on everything one by one. But, don't get me wrong, this is an excellent device. I'd recommend everyone buy it

Where do I begin...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We absolutely love the Roku devices. This is my 5th device. I upgraded to this one on the Black Friday sale and so glad I did. Fast, faster, fastest!! It’s unbelievable how much quicker this is, from the previous generation (which I have 3 of) anyway this is an upgrade to our living room and moved the other one to my sons room. Do not hesitate to buy! If your tired of cable or the others you will not be disappointed!

Saves me hundreds of dollars every year!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my fourth roku device - not because they keep breaking - but because I have one on every TV in my house. It helps me save hundreds of dollars each year on cable, so I recommend this device every time I recommend cable cutting to people. I initially moved over to Roku from a competitor because they stopped supporting the Plex app, and i'm glad I made the transition. There is very little between this device and its competitors, but one of the features I really love is the ability to wirelessly listen to the TV just by plugging your headphones into the remote! No expensive wireless headphones that glitch in and out, and no waking up your partner during those late night TV sessions! I love the simplicity of use, and the plethora of channel options. I've been using Roku devices for three or four years now, and haven't yet had to replace one. I would highly recommend this to everybody.

Significant upgrade over the Roku Express
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oh I didn't know how good life could be. I'd previously been living the Roku ecosystem using only Roku Express or built-in Roku apps. This device is soooo much faster and more responsive. The remote is no longer IR so it works a lot better. UHD and HDR look great using the Netflix app. The included Ethernet port was also a nice upgrade over using Wi-Fi for the data heavy streaming services. The only gripe I have deals with the Roku service and not this device in particular. Specifically, all Rokus connected to your account have to have the same apps. This means that my kid's Roku device also has the HBO Go, Starz, Showtime Anytime apps etc. that they'll never use and have to scroll through, while my Roku has tons of family friendly apps that I'll never use. The workaround that I found was simply to create a separate Roku account for the kid's devices. Not ideal, but it does accomplish what i was going for.

Good little device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like Roku and it works great for our purposes! For some context, we have (3) Roku's...started with the Roku 3. We have enjoyed it for 3 or 4 yrs and we decided to add them to all of our tvs, so we recently bought (2) Roku Premieres. The Premiere works almost flawlessly and lives up to our expectations. I'm not very tech savvy, but I found set-up to be very easy especially with our home WiFi. Selecting the App/Channels is fairly user friendly, as well. We are more of an "old-school" home, so we prefer that the platform includes a remote control. (The main reason we don't use our Chromecast.) Also of note, the Premiere's remote control is connected and works through your WiFi system, so you can hide the device for more of a design aesthetic, if you care about that sort of thing, as we do. I'm not what the work around would be if your internet connection doesn't include WiFi. Roku does offer some free streaming content but keep In mind the Roku isn't really meant to give you the big names in streaming FREE. We don't have an issue subscribing to streaming content so you may want to consider this aspect with your situation. It might help to think of a Roku as a "device middleman" that turns your dumb tv into one with smart tv capabilities and not really a cable box.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the streaming stick first (for $40) but my wireless coverage isn't good where my TV is, and I have an ethernet cable there. So I returned it and got the next version up, the $90 Premiere+. It's working perfectly. Both products are easy to set up. The remote is very easy and actually comes with batteries! I found that when I'm watching regular TV, I push the home button on the remote and it changes to the Roku source and I see Netflix and Amazon Prime, and can step over to either. When I want to return to regular TV, the only way I know to return is to change the source using the TV remote. That's a minor inconvenience but my wife isn't really clear on it yet. Otherwise, the Roku is working out great, and the Premiere+ model gives me fast ethernet speeds. Oh, a pretty cool feature is being able to plug the provided earbuds into the Roku remote and listening that way. Great idea to avoid disturbing other people.
