I actually used this device to reduce my cable bill. So coming from a cable box on this tv, it's just a little slower. I know I could have opted for a faster roku, but wanted to ease in. Still a great purchase though. I'm not a complete cord cutter, maybe just a cord trimmer. Since my cable company offers an app that replicates its channels on an app availabile on roku, I was able to reduce my monthly bill by eliminating the cable box. Since this TV is one that I use less frequently it gives me cable access and more when the need arises.
