this program its such one of the best things out of all streaming divices i will recomenn it to any body

So far it has been great; also I have been able to enjoy my high speed internet for down streaming.

I like this media streamer.por all I find tv series and movies, documentaries etc.

I bought this for my mom and she loves it! Super easy to use and set up.

My 2nd TV is an older model and Roku gives me a wider choice of programs.

Roku for TV its very convenient and you get any chance you want.

Everybody should own a Roku streaming stick. Its portable, reasonably priced and the perfect solution for a cable alternative. The device comes with a large selection of pre-downloaded applications, an easy to install and use remote and a power cord so that you don't have to worry about charging it.

I love this device because of how easy and convenient it is. It's small and plugs neatly into the tv and the point anywhere remote makes using it even more simple. Also the quad core processor makes it very fast. I highly recommend it especially for the price

I am so glad we got the stick. It fits perfectly in the back of our TV, no wires, nothing to plug into an outlet and no big chunky equipment. You can plug the power part of it directly into the USB on your tv making it so much easier to deal with. If it doesn't fit in your tv, they give you a code to order a free extender. It took less than a week for mine to arrive. I don't need it now, for the tv we have, but you never know when you might so I went ahead and got it. I love that I can use my phone as the remote if I need to, and love how easy it is to look up stuff. We had the original years ago and this is so much better. Plus you can use this one if you travel and not need a bunch of wires. I highly recommend it to anyone. We don't have cable, so we use this and we watch all our stuff on hulu and netflix and other channels on the stick.

First, you can't tell the difference in the streaming quality or functionality of the streaming stick as compared to the Roku 3. If I had to choose one, I'd prefer the Roku 3 because it has a better remote, has a voice-activated remote, and you can plug earphones into the Roku 3 remote. That said, the streaming stick is $30 cheaper, if that matters, is extremely portable, can be powered via a USB connection to the TV, and has equal streaming quality to the Roku 3. I did a LOT of research before I cut the cord and decided the Roku products were the best. I haven't been disappointed. If you want a streaming stick, this is the best on the market. If you want a quality, PERMANENT, streaming device at a great price, get the Roku 3. PS - I've heard the streaming stick will overheat when used too long. I have not found that to be the case.

I've had the 2016 streaming stick for a month, and it is absolutely amazing. The interface is so simple to use, and the remote makes it very easy to navigate. It loads very quickly, and streaming is very smooth. I was amazed at how good the quality looks on my 4K TV. I don't really see the need for the Roku 4 because this stick does the job for less than half the price. I got the Roku 2016 stick for "free" by subscribing to Sling TV for 3 months ($20 per month). Sling works great and streaming quality is pretty good. I just wish they had a bigger selection of channels like PlayStation Vue, which is not on Roku currently. Overall, the 2016 stick is a must own for the price and I would highly recommend it.

I primarily use this for travel so I wanted something small, versatile, and easy to setup and use. I own Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire Stick and for travel the Roku has been the best. Pros: small, easy to setup, connecting to hotel wifi is usually easy, plenty of channel content, smartphone app makes it the most convenient. Smartphone apps also creates a sound bridge between the streaming stick and your phone so you can use headphones. Cons: Some hotel wifi is a bother to setup and Roku doesn't make it any easier. Although there are so many available channels you have to sort through a lot of junk. You have to have a Roku account to set it up and add channels (but this is common). It's definitely a step up from the previous model and it's fast. The menu interface is clean and very easy to navigate. It's quite small and even if you forget your remote you can use it with your smartphone via the Roku app. Although it is a little more expensive than Amazon's offering I do feel Roku makes a better more usable product as the amount of content is much greater. If that content isn't enough you can even add Kodi to your travel stick.

I purchased this item to replace a "failed" Roku 2 (faster processor edition). I heard good things about the Roku Stick, I liked the idea of it being plugged into the back of my TV and hidden with no external box like the Roku 2. At the same time as my Best Buy order for the Stick, I went on Amazon and purchased a 6" USB to Roku Stick power cable. This gets power drawn from your TV's USB port without the need of the included wall wart transformer. When I received the unit (fast shipping, BTW), setup was really simple and hassle-free. I already had a Roku account with the Roku 2, so it didn't need me to re-enter my credit card info (yes, the Roku units need your CC number to purchase some programming, but I never had to utilize it). The remote is RF (no line of sight needed), and paired instantly with the Stick. Well, once the unit is all set up with your WIFI password, you're in business. My subscriptions include (for modest fees) SiriusXM, Sling, Hulu, and Netflix. The Stick has a very fast processor and the graphics are amazing for such a little device. I swear it's faster than my newer edition of the Roku 2. About that "failing" Roku... I gave it to my niece to get it replaced via the warranty. Low and behold, she plugged it in, and the thing worked! So she's now the proud owner of a Roku 2. I can't explain why it quit working on my TV, where I received a notice of "invalid format" on my screen and nothing else. Pros: Inexpensive, easy to set up, awesome graphics (in full 1080p), and super fast. Cons: Runs a little hot, but it's about the same as the old Roku box. In retrospect, I would choose only Roku as my streaming device, the Roku Stick is a winner in my book. I'm happy to have bought it from Best Buy.

The Roku streaming device(2016 model) has made cord cutting so easy. They have many apps to add onto your home screen. It even has some quick launch buttons for a few of thise apps at the bottom: Sling Tv, Google Play, Netflix, and Amazon. This is a perfect device for a reasonable price for cord cutters. Direct tv now, PlayStation Vue, Sling are all live tv service providers that have Apple for Roku. There are a few others but these are the top ones. While this device is essential forcird cutters, there are some things I wish were a bit different. I wish it had an option to turn it off. Currently, the I my way to turn the device off is to unplug it which I dislike having to do. I wish that one of the quick launch buttons was programable. It be great to assign one of my apps of my choosing to a button. Some of the apps need updating. This isn't Roku's fault that the Ps Vue app interface is terrible(in my opinion). Many of the features are missing like recall, or the picture in picture. It might have to be because of the lack of buttons but if Sling has managed to make the app interface good, and has a recall option, then Ps Vue is falling behind. Despite the cons listed above, I would recommend this device. It's compact, it supports many apps, it's easy to setup, and it's affordable.

The Roku streaming stick is small and easy to install compared to other Roku models. The aim-anywhere remote is a real plus. I knew the 2017 stick would have improvements, but I decided to buy this 2016 one when it went on sale. I installed it on a guest room TV that's not hooked to cable, and I can easily unplug it to take on trips. Great product!

This is the first Roku device I have used, and its a decent simple streaming solution for the money but it does have some limitations. First, there MUST be a strong Wifi signal available to get any kind of good picture. Originally bought 2 of these to replace Time Warner/Spectrum cable boxes & I returned one when the location where it would be used was not suitable for a good Wifi connection. So far, picture quality is as good as cable, although Spectrum app leaves much to be desired. Other apps, such as Netflix, Youtube, Amazon Prime, Showtime Anytime work well. What I don't like is this unit is always powered on, and you can't turn it off, also its very warm to the touch. Usually heat & electronics are not a good match so I don't expect this to last long. Also this is a Wifi-only unit; you can't connect an Ethernet cable. All in all, its a basic & relatively affordable streaming option, with some limitations, the required strong Wifi signal being the biggest.

I love the 2016 model streaming stick....but, you need to order the hdmi extender from Roku to bring the heat down a little. Also, it's best to NOT power through the usb on your tv and use the power adapter to plug into surge protector instead. It can run pretty hot. It does have the good remote compared to the line of sight ones, but again, my preference is the ones that came with the Roku 3, the gamer remote I guess it's called. Not quite sure of names, but the best remote is the one before they moved the "ok" button to the middle of the arrows. The streaming stick is MUCH better and faster than the newer EXPRESS models though and worth the extra money.

For anyone who wants an affordable and robust, feature-packed streaming device, the Roku Streaming Stick is absolutely perfect. It is very compact and portable while also pretty fast and fluid. It has a wide variety of apps you can use, and the remote is very comfortable and nice to use. It's also pretty great that you can point the remote wherever you want and it'll still work. Overall, the Roku Streaming Stick is a great value for anybody looking for an affordable and capable streaming device.
