I've had a roku 3 for a couple of years and needed another for our bedroom tv. The new stick is even better than my 3 and at a really amazing price. Love it

It works as advertised - good support from content and app developers means lots of channels which in turn means lots of content. Setup is like any other Roku, and device pulls in signal well enough to look good on my home entertainment center. Only drawback I can think of is that I had to request an adapter so that my receiver could fit in the stand properly (the adapter was provided and shipped at no additional cost from Roku) rather than having it included in the box, but it didn't take long to show up (and again it was no additional cost to me).

I was in the store shopping for something else, when my dad and I happened by the Roku table. My dad didn't know what Roku was or how it worked. The lady and I explained it to him and he just called it "voodoo." After a while, we finally convinced him to give the Roku Stick a try. It's been almost 2 months, and he uses his Roku almost daily. Sometimes I wonder if he watches cable anymore! He loves it, because he can find almost anything he wants to watch. Plus it's so easy! At 71 years old, he can still learn new technology and enjoy it - even if it's voodoo. :)

This is the best streaming stick out there. Way better and faster than the first version. Smaller too. Works great, haven't had any problems in 3 months.

I tried out both the 3rd generation AppleTV and 1st Gen Chromecast in the past year as well as the features of my Smart TV, and the Roku Streaming Stick is my new go-to streaming device. I love that it plugs right into an HDMI port and pulls power from my TV. I don't have to worry about finding space for another box on my TV stand. This also has the most available channels (Netflix, Hulu, AND Amazon). I've had some problems with the wifi remote, which I tracked down to having dying batteries included. I've replaced the batteries, and it seems to have resolved the issue. The Roku app has been useful, and helped working through this. And yet another set of contracted preset buttons that you may or may not use.

I purchased the Roku after reading a newspaper item that it could be used to replace the Spectrum unscrambler box for which they charge $5 per month. it does that and much more. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because changing channels is a little more cumbersome than with the Spectrum box.

I was on the fence about buying this or the Roku3 because the last gen stick was so slow. This version is as fast as the Roku3 and takes up less space.

I switched to using sling tv and hulu, so instead of using my phone as a controller to watch tv, I bought the Roku stick. It works great, I use it everyday and I don't have any issues. I also like the fact that Roku comes with streaming channels included as well as the ability to buy or rent movies using other apps. The controller is very easy to use and I like its setup, very simple layout and works just as good as a regular controller. I liked it so much that I bought the Roku express for my bedroom. I would recommend all the Roku models to everyone.

I bought this because I learned that the Charter Spectum App was available on Roku. I watch all my Charter subscriptions on my Charter app on my IPhone and iPad within my homes wifi. I thought I'd see if the Roku device would work well enough to replace the cable box ($7.00 monthly fee) on our bedroom TV. It works better than I expected. I returned the cable box to Charter. Now I have my cable channels and apps like Netflix, YouTube all in one place. I had 4 cable boxes in my house now I only have 1. The others have been replaced by Roku. Great product!

Brought Roku stick home, plugged it in, and started watching movies and TV. Lots of programming available but I’m old school and quickly found movies and tv that hasn’t been available through conventional services for more than 50 years!

We moved from using a Chromecast to Roku and have found the experience to be better. Having a traditional interface to all the content we need has made watching TV more pleasant and approachable for my family, particularly the kids. We find the device fast and responsive. The only gripe would be that it does not seem to recover elegantly from hiccups with my router. There have been a few times where forcing a restart of Roku or unplugging the device was the only way to get it to reconnect properly. I have not seen the issue with our many other devices, so it has been a bit of an annoyance. It is relatively easy to resolve, so I am still positive on the product and it does not seem to be a persistent problem.

Best combination of price, performance and channels of any steamer out there. If you need Ethernet then get a Roku 2 but for everyone else get the stick.

I was looking into getting a streaming device and i liked this one because it shows how easy the set up is and i liked the sleek the remote appeared

It's small, it plugs right into the tv no need to use an electrical outlet! It is very easy to use and fast.

We had been looking to upgrade our 46" flatscreen in our den so we could at least get Netflix. Since this TV was several years old, it didn't have WiFi which meant potentially getting a new TV that was wireless and came with Netflix, Pandora, etc. I had seen the Roku devices before but didn't want another box sitting on the shelf. Then I came across this streaming stick and it instantly turned our old TV into a Roku TV without having to take up shelf space or an outlet (powered by your TV's usb port if you have one). It was a breeze setting up the streaming channels we like and the shows load up quickly. Very happy with the purchase. Only wish is that the remote could somehow control the volume.

Does as advertised. Setup was straight forward and it streams HD content flawlessly. Has a power supply, but you can power it with a USB port also.

This Roku stick is the second one I purchased for another TV. Easy setup. Remote is simple but adequate. It works great. No complaints. Good value.

Earlier this year I bought a Roku TV and really liked the Roku interface and all the channels available. So recently I decided to buy this Roku streaming stick for an older TV that I have in my bedroom. The streaming stick works great - fast download speed and has the same interface as the Roku TV. Mine is the 2016 model of the streaming stick which is apparently much faster than the previous models. I never owned an older model so I cannot compare speeds, but I have no complaints with the streaming stick I purchased. And the Roku content is much better and expansive than the standard smart TV that I have in my living room. In the future I will likely be non-smart TVs, but then get a Roku device to upgrade them.

I am switching over to Spectrum internet as quickly as I can and as far as I can tell the least expensive is the Roku stick. They have Spectrum internet as an option at no additional cost since I already have a Spectrum account.
