Good alternative to a full blown laptop

As an author, I can cart this around, write when ideas hit me, store to the Cloud, and not worry about banging this around or losing it. Excellent for when I was hospitalized and faced a few weeks in a nursing home for rehab-- Never had a book before, and it took a bit to get the hang of the use, but worth it.
