Customers recognize the 24" Tall Tub Built-in Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub as impressively quiet and a powerful cleaner of dishes. Positive feedback also highlights its spacious interior and ease of use, although some users mention challenges with the rack design and a few experienced reliability issues. The stainless steel appearance receives praise, but a lingering odor was reported by a small number of users.

I Was A Horrible Purchase. The Dishwasher Stops Randomly And Smells. Sometimes A Cycle Completes Correctly, But Most Of The Time Soap Is Still Dripped Down The Front And Water May/May Not Be Still In The Bottom. Frustrating At Best!

Overall, the dishwasher is very good. It seems to wash the dishes very well, regardless of what's on them. The machine runs extremely quiet...there are times my wife and kids have opened it during the wash because they didn't realize it was running.
I have three complaints. The dishes are rarely dry. I've used the rinse additive as suggested (it's suppose to help the drying process), but most of the dishes are still wet. Secondly, there is a persistent fishy smell. I've ruled out clogged filters, dirty gaskets, drainage line blockage, and everything else I could find online. I have to attribute it to the inability to dry the dishes. I even leave the door ajar after unloading to minimize the moisture....still fishy. Finally, the basket design is not conducive to loading a full sink of dishes. The bowls refuse to stay upright (using the specifically designed holders) and the overall rack design does to support the washing of assorted dishes. In other words, the rack is perfect if you want to wash 20 plates of various sizes, 6 small cereal bowls, and 12 regular cups. If you want to wash pots, pans, any style of Tupperware, or the major things you would use to cook dinner, plus the dishes you dirtied eating that one meal....you'll have to run two completely separate loads of dishes.

The dishwasher is very effective at cleaning dishes and is very quiet, but has an awkward shelf set up for loading dishes. It seems to be designed for people who only use thin plates! Therefore I can't fit as many dishes into the dishwasher as my past dishwasher.

I really love the fact that the top shelf is pretty deep because our tall cups and glasses stand up on the top without falling over. The top shelf also can hold bowls and is adjustable. Oh and it's super quiet and compared to what we had this is many steps up.
On the flip side its only been installed for two weeks and I had to call and get a new part already as it broke right off! The dishes are still a bit wet at the end of cycle with the sanitizer on, but according to the manual putting a rinse agent in will help, which I can say it has a been a little better. Customer support also says that opening the door after the dishes are done will help as well, but I didn't really like that solution.
All in all it uses less water, it quiet, washes in much less time than older dishwashers and is pretty big inside, can hold many things including pots and pans and the dishes are nice and clean (a little wet, but clean)!

We bought this dishwasher along with the rest of the matching Samsung appliances after our resent remodel and we absolutely love it.
Best Buy charges way too much for the installations so I decided to do it myself and it was a breeze. The only bad thing was that I had to stop in the middle of installation and drive to hardware store to pick up a $0.79 drain hose clamp. LOL. It was not in the install kit that I bought with this dishwasher. Other than that it was a very easy install.
I am surprised that people complain on this dishwasher. It is expremly quiet. We can be standing next to it, talking and not hear it run. Can only hear when it disposes of used water because it goes up toward air-gap and then into food disposal. My old Whirlpool dishwasher was so loud that we couldn't hear TV on high in our living room when it ran.
Dishes come out spotless and dry but you have to use JetDry and sanitary cycle! Love it that one fill up of JetDry will last up to 40 washes. So far filled it up once. It has a light that lights up when JetDry is getting low. There is a metal strip above handle that lights up to let you know what it is doing and when its done. Very convenient since all the controls are hidden under the granite countertop.
So far we are very pleased with our purchase and highly recommend it.

Great looking dishwasher, cleans very well. If I had to knock the dishwasher at all it would be that the rack gets hung up once and awhile (minor) and it needs a drying agent to completely dry

I was a bit hesitant after reading some reviews about smell and things staying wet. My unit did not smell one bit coming out of the package or after running it. If you throw dirty dishes in it and leave it sitting with the door closed, yes, it will get smelly, but it would be silly to think it wouldnt. It got dried on penne vodka sauce off a pot that i put in the storm wash section with no pre soak or anything. That was my test of their no pre wash claims. It came out spotless. Luckily there are nice LEDs on the front to tell you what it is doing because it is so darned quiet. Any librarian would be happy. It plays a few chimes when it finishes and the auto mode does real well and seemd faster than my old kenmore. I wouldn't hestitate to recommend it to friends and family after using it over a month I am still thrilled. And it has a ton of space inside with three wash arms and adjustable racks and drawer. Love it love it love it!

very quiet and definitely gets the dishes clean. only thing is if you have tall glass glass, like for tea and such, all the pegs seem very short and I'm afraid they will clank against each other. maybe I'm doing it wrong, I don't know haha. no damaged cups as of yet though :)

I've had this diswasher installed less than 6 months. Even though it is very quiet when it runs (I have to double check that it is even on), it does not dry at all (I've made sure the drying is on) and now we have an over-level water error and have to have someone come out and fix it. I have tried all the unplug... blow dry the sensor (which isnt't wet, no water leakage anywhere)... nothing works. For an item less than 6 months old this is not a dishwasher I would buy again.
But when it works it cleans really well. Just doesn't dry or run the full cycle before shutting down.

We bought this dishwasher because of its quiet rating and it lives up to its rating! You have to put your ear to it to see if it is running. I like that the shelves are adjustable, I just have to get used to the way the racks are to put the dishes in the dishwasher, it is awkward to put larger items in there, still adjusting, but still an excellent dishwasher.

This is by a long shot the quietest dishwasher I have ever been around! It cleans great, the adjustable racks and pegs are wonderful, and it's got simple controls...but the best part by far is that you can barely tell it's running! On our old DW, we used to have to delay the start time 3 hours and start it when we went to bed so that it wouldn't disrupt everything. With this one, we can run it right away after dinner and not even care!

Thus Samsung dishwasher does a great job and is super quiet. It has a European style layout if you will, the racks are closely spaced but it's no problem skipping every other place if you have big dishes. The surge function cleans my cook wear nicely. Using recommended high end rinse leaves the dishes dry dispite what some people claim. I like the digital controls they are very easy to function and the frontal display keeps track of progress.

Brand response from MsSamsung

Hi Kato,
Thanks for your feedback on this and your other Samsung Appliances! Regarding the drying cycle, the DW80F800UWS uses an energy-saving Condensation Drying which relies on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate the water, which then condenses on the cooler stainless steel walls and drains out the bottom. To maximize the effectiveness of Condensation Drying, be sure to use a rinse aid, select the Sanitize cycle whenever possible, and leave the door closed until the cycle is complete to retain the heat. Of course, it isn't unusual to have water pooled in the concave bottoms of cups and glassware, and plastics may still be a bit damp since they don't retain heat well.
Have a great day! Ms. Samsung

So far so good with this dishwasher. Installation was not difficult. It has lots of configurations available and being able to adjust the height of the top rack without taking it out is very helpful. Using a drying agent is a must though.

This is the quietest dishwasher I have never heard!!! The only negative is that my dinner plates are too tall for the bottom rack.
