I’ve been using this monitor for about 3 years and it’s been consistently excellent. No issues, no degradation — it still feels like a high-end product. What really stands out is the OLED panel. Since each pixel is self-lit, you get perfect blacks and near-infinite contrast. There’s no backlight bleed, no blooming, and the image always looks clean and precise. Colors are rich and natural, and overall the picture feels much more “alive” compared to traditional LCD monitors. Of course, OLED has its limitations. Full-screen brightness isn’t very high, and there’s a potential risk of burn-in if you leave static elements on screen for long periods. There are also small things like pixel shifting or panel refresh cycles that you may notice during use. QD-OLED can sometimes show slight color fringing on fine details as well. But in real-world use, especially for gaming, the advantages completely outweigh the downsides. The panel is incredibly fast, motion looks very sharp, and everything feels responsive and smooth. In darker environments, the image quality really shines and looks significantly better than most LCD or even Mini-LED displays. This monitor is clearly built for gaming. It can handle competitive titles just as well as single-player games where image quality matters the most. If your PC can push high frame rates, you’ll get an outstanding experience. Overall, I can confidently say that OLED is currently the best gaming display technology, and this monitor proves it. If you understand what you’re getting, it’s an amazing choice.

This was my first OLED monitor coming from a 24" 144Hz TN panel, and all I can say is that it's well worth it. For games that benefit from high FPS, like Overwatch, Osu!, Valorant, and Apex, it's perfect for them. The only downside with this monitor would be the joystick durability. It's made from a cheap plastic and I've heard that its breaks quite easily. So if you do end up purchasing this monitor I would be gentle when using it.

[Employee of bestbuy] This monitor is probably one of the best OLED monitors under $1,000, and definitely well worth spending the money for it. The model I had purchased was actually an open box model in excellent rated condition. The monitor after unboxing it was basically in brand new condition, and even had the plastic wrapping still on everything like the back of the monitor, and the power box for the power cord, which is in a design I really love, because it helps keep the monitor from heating up by having a battery box connected to the cord itself to manage the heat from the electricity. The display on the monitor is absolutely stunning, as the contrast and colors literally scream the best viewing experience possible. The QHD resolution is also a nice choice, because it helps mitigate extra cost by not being 4K UHD, which would add another $200 minimum. The big seller alongside the OLED however, is the 360Hz refresh rate, which is as of now, the best you can get in the consumer market for not spending a few organ donations. As a rhythm game player, this is a major key selling point as the Hz of a monitor is key for these kinds of games, as well as FPS games if you want to play on a competitive level. The build on the monitor itself is also very sturdy, the swivel stand is extremely smooth moving it around, the only real complaint I had about it was the 7 attempts I had to do to actually snap the monitor into the stand itself, which was a challenge for me for some reason. Here’s the minor flaw however. Despite being a 1440p monitor, if you’re trying to read text on it, it can be a LITTLE bit blurry, causing some minor issues but it definitely isn’t a deal breaker for me. If you’re using the monitor for gaming, photo editing, or content creation, 100% consider investing into a G6, or even higher if you prefer an ultrawide. If you’re using the monitor for office work or anything of the such that deals with documents or excel type stuff, definitelt an okay choice but be ready to deal with a little bit of blurriness trying to read text.

The image quality is incredible and the colors look amazing thanks to the OLED panel. The 360Hz refresh rate feels extremely smooth in competitive games, and the response time is excellent. It has been a huge upgrade for my gaming setup. Highly recommended for anyone who wants top-tier performance and picture quality.

A Display So Good, It Took My Eyes 15 Minutes to Believe It Was Real The first time I powered on this display, I was absolutely blown away. The deep blacks, the insanely vibrant colors—it immediately felt like I’d just opened a portal to a higher dimension. Even the OSD (on-screen display) menu is slick and intuitive, with a four-way cross switch that somehow makes navigating settings feel fun. I never misclick anything—just pure efficiency. Then I fired up my first game, and honestly… I was shattered in the best way. The color gamut is so rich, so alive. Shadows are deep and ominous, which makes it perfect if you're into horror games like I am. Jump scares hit way harder when you're surrounded by pitch-black corners and vibrant detail. It’s like the display wants you to scream. Here’s something funny, though—I’m a software developer and spend most of my life reading and writing code, so I’m very particular about text clarity. When I first looked at text on this monitor, I thought something was off. I genuinely thought the letters looked a little blurry. But then—maybe 15 minutes in—it clicked. The anti-aliasing was so smooth and clean that it was actually giving text a sort of subtle, almost 3D quality. It was too good, and my eyes just had to adjust. Once they did, it felt like the monitor was tickling my eyes—in a good way—whether I was gaming or writing code. That kind of detail is addictive. Also, the stand? Amazing. It adjusts about 8" vertically and gets as low as 4" from the desk. It angles easily and lines up perfectly with my other (much larger) display. It’s sturdy, smooth, and just as premium as the panel itself. And let me tell you: when the screen first turned on, it started completely black, but I could see the glow from the backlights. I just knew something epic was about to appear. Then BAM—the word "Odyssey" fades onto the screen in smooth, crisp white. I actually howled with laughter. It was so good, so premium-looking, it made my other monitor (even the Apple Studio 5K one) feel… well, outdated. This monitor makes everything look better—whether it's fast-paced shooters, gritty survival games, or text editors. Games like Wreckfest, Dark and Darker, and even quirky titles like Headliners look absolutely phenomenal. Yes, it was a bit pricey—but I’ve never once regretted the purchase. It’s honestly vastly superior to most displays out there, including some that cost even more. If you’re after a monitor that’s a win across the board—for work, play, or just gawking at how pretty pixels can be—this is the one. Without a doubt, the day I picked it up, this was the best display in the store. Maybe even in the entire zip code. Now if you’ll excuse me... time to go hunt some zombies.

The Samsung Odyssey G6 is one of the best 27-inch gaming monitors you can buy if you want top-tier speed without sacrificing image quality. Its QHD OLED panel delivers perfect blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible contrast, while the ultra-fast refresh rate (up to 360Hz on the G60SD model) and near-instant 0.03 ms response time make competitive games feel exceptionally smooth. It also supports both G-SYNC Compatible and FreeSync Premium Pro for tear-free gameplay.

Overall, a great performing monitor. Colors looks great, refresh rate is one of the best offered. Only downside, like others have mentioned, the power button is made a very cheap plastic and has broken off of the monitor. Picture included shows how it snapped while going to use it earlier today. Since then, I have fully removed the button so I can continue to use it. Looks like everyone else has gone through the process to replace it and it isn't worth the effort. Does not alter the performance or function of the monitor, just an annoying problem to have for a $700 monitor....

I used to use a living room tv that had sun damage to game with a Ps5, now i use that same Ps5 and a Pc to do my gaming and this monitor was a great buy from the price its valued at and what its capable of. I never have any type of ghosting, screen tearing, or delay when using this monitor which was my main concern for gaming and even with the in monitor settings im able to change a bunch to my personal preferences to make games look more real. Most of the games i play the monitor can handle the fps, refresh rate, and hdr for said games and the design itself is sleek, the stand is a little heavy ensuring it wont just topple over and the installation was super easy. Some of my photos include the power button as the main button for all actions regarding the monitor as well as many different ports, and the slim design of the screen itself.

To begin with, I purchased this to replace a 100 hz VA monitor. This monitor did come with the updated version (December 2024). Is it really hdmi 2.1? Yes, it I have an rtx 4090 and a 9800x3d. All three were purchased at Best Buy. This monitor does not disappoint at all. The colors and the deep blacks are outstanding, to say the least. Playing newer games like: Oblivion remastered, Clair Obscure,C.O.D Cold War. The colors of my pictures will be a little different from the screen. After looking, the monitor colors a more vibrant. You can also make adjustments to your liking. The monitor settings are super easy to access. I love the fast refresh rate of 360 on this monitor. I haven't had any ghosting at all, and for the most part, I play in a medium to low light room, so the matte finish is great, not as great as shiny but the does the job very well. So if you're looking to upgrade to a better coloful looking panel, look no further this G60SD will blow you away. I sit about 2 feet away from my desk, and the hdr is really good, too. Just do not forget to enable it in Windows. With a 3 year burn-in warranty, I wouldn't be too worried, usually newer QD-OLED should last a lot longer at least 5 years. I went with a 1440p instead of 4k only because of my personal preference, in which, as a gamer, you know games that are 4k now are ok to run with a 4090 now.It may be harder to run 4 years from now with a 4090 when the 7000 series release. In the meantime, I have no regrets about my purchase.

As far as QD-OLEDs go, this one is certainly one of the best. It has a matte coating, which I am personally a fan of so that's a plus for me. Of course, the natural characteristics of OLED displays apply to this one too, so you're getting a quality panel with all the advantages of OLED technology. The stand is also very adjustable and does not take up a lot of space on my desk so form factor is another plus. However, one of the cons of this monitor is that it is poorly set up from the factory as far as color settings go. I had to spend quite a bit of time getting it to look how I wanted it to, but once I figured it out it, I haven't had to touch the settings again. Also, the software with Samsung monitors is buggy and can be awkward to use. I had some instances where a certain port on the monitor would glitch out and Id have to change where my cable is plugged into. Firmware updates and using the HDMI ports have solved most, if not all, of these issues however. Currently, the monitor is working amazingly. If you are ok with fiddling around in the menus and fine tuning your settings, this monitor is perfect for you. If you're looking for a great out-of-the-box experience, perhaps look elsewhere.

Well this is top tier experience for anyone’s gaming on a PC. Most competitive games with a good cpu and gpu can hit well into the 200 and 300 for with the right settings. Motion clarity in Counter-Strike 2 is breath taking. Response times are not an issue. I prefer the standard picture mode with windows HDR always on for both monitors. I tune brightness 20 SDR Brightness slider to 20 on both monitors. My other is the AOC Q40MXN. Another positive of this monitor is color accuracy. It is wonderful. I got the Samsung 27” OLED G6 monitor to step up my World of Warcraft Classic game, and let me tell you — I didn’t just step up. I ascended like a Lightforged Draenei at a CrossFit retreat. The colors on this thing are insane. Stranglethorn Vale? Looks like a humid paradise. Winterspring? So crisp I caught a chill. And the glow from Fel spells? Let’s just say my room now looks like a warlock’s rave whenever I PvP. The OLED contrast is so deep, I lost my undead rogue in a shadow for ten minutes and thought I had Alt-F4’d by accident. But no — he was just perfectly camouflaged in the darkness, waiting to backstab someone into next week. Immersion: 10/10. Sanity: questionable. 120Hz refresh rate? Smooth as a paladin bubble-hearthing from a fair fight. Zero ghosting. No screen tearing. Just me, my keyboard, and the fear of accidentally aggroing 15 murlocs in glorious OLED. Final verdict: If you’re playing WoW Classic and you want to see Azeroth in its most jaw-dropping form, get this monitor. You’ll die to mobs because you're too busy admiring how pretty the water looks. Worth it.

A perfect OLED with truly mesmerizing colors, butter smooth at 360 FPS, with noticeably less latency than a standard display. It's held back, though, by the stand that's included, which protrudes roughly 3 inches out from the screen itself, and a super cheap, and pretty critical, navigation button.

I wanted to write this review as my honest opinion and experience with the Samsung Odyssey G6 monitor and Samsung’s Care Team. I purchased my monitor on September 30th after seeing a few displays in store at Best Buy. It was the most reasonably priced with beautiful picture quality. I was also looking for a high refresh rate that my Xbox Series S supported and this checked the box. The overall picture quality is great. The monitor has an LED ring light in the back that just makes a gamers corner look awesome. The issue: the power button/jog button. After 3 months of owning the monitor, the power button crumbled. Legit just broke. I didn’t do anything excessive to cause this. Do yourself a favor and look at ALL the Reddit reviews and even complaints from consumers on the Samsung Forum. This is a flawed design. The power button/jog button is the monitors primary button to alternate between the HDMI inputs, modify display settings and power on and off. Mine not only broke but stopped functioning. SAMSUNG WOULDN’T COVER IT! Although only 3 months old, Samsung refused to cover the issue, citing it as “physical damage.” So my only option was to pay out of pocket and ship it to them for additional fees to repair. Third party’s cannot fix it because Samsung does not have parts for sale and many places such as UBreakIFix are contracted specifically NOT to work on their devices. Samsungs Care Team was absolutely horrible. AVOID SAMSUNG IF YOU CAN! Alternatively, LG ULTRAGEAR and ASUS ROG have better support

This monitor fit my budget and had the high quality I needed. I've enjoyed the clarity and snap response for my FPS gaming utilization and tend to spot opposing players before my co-op team mates. It's no coincidence, I can see them before others. A good graphics card also doesn't hurt, but make no mistake, a good monitor is the last thing that translates those 1's and 0's to your brain. You will thank yourself over and over for spending more on the things you directly touch or see.

Very good monitor and future proof as long as you aren’t looking for 4k. Has many options to customize display with HDR.

The picture quality is stunning. Made the jump from LED to OLED and I am glad I did. I enjoy playing video games and watching videos on this monitor. Crisp and Clean! Even my wife enjoys using it when editing photos. I am lucky to have bought on sale, but would have been willing to pay full price knowing what I know now. Build quality feels premium and so does my viewing experience.

Coming from IPS Display, OLED is the plus ultra of displays. TV or Monitor doesn't matter, them pure blacks really is something. Purchased extra protection from geeksquad so I can use it regularly without worrying. Best buy I've done in years. Totally recommend.

I am currently giving it a 4 star rating due to having to return the first one because of flickering issues. But the second one is working great. I am currently playing War Hammer 2 & Wukong and i have to say that the picture quality is great! I am no stranger to oled.. i have a few Oled TVs (LG CX) and i have to say that this monitor holds its own.. oh, and did i mention that it also has crazy refresh rates! (PC gaming)!

I decided to make the switch from a 1080p 280hz IPS, and the difference is night and day. This Samsung OLED makes everything look much sharper and smoother at 1440p 360hz. The contrast is significantly better making blacks darker. Gameplay looks more fluid with way less motion blur. It has an easy to navigate menu and its OLED prevention technology gives me peace of mind. The semi-matte finish making it glare free, does not bother me at all. Overall, I will stick to using OLED after seeing the visual improvements and clarity it comes with.
