Fragile electronics override wash performance

We bought this as a package with the mating dryer based on Consumer reports and other reviews. We are disappointed. The door leaked in the 3rd week and had to be repaired. The electronics had to be rebooted 4 times. The wash performance is good and matches the rating by CR but the other failures have shown this unit will be trouble for the long term. We have contacted Samsung customer service with very little in the way of support except to ask if we want to buy an extended warranty!!

Works well and has good cycle selection, plus up to 3 custom cycles can be saved. I might consider using the Wi-Fi/smartphone capability once I determine a way for clothes needing wash can be moved from clothes hamper into the washing machine w/o me being there.

I'm now on my 4th washer, the first one I got it vibrated terribly so I called customer service and explained to them it's a leveling issue cause the install team just shoved it in and took all the tools. The install team came out and told me it wasn't a leveling issue that the machine was defective and he rushed right out. So best buy shipped another washer, well long and behold the same issue, so I called again and the best buy customer service rep was rude and telling me that there's nothing they could do and maybe I should just get another brand. Well they sent me a new one after talking to a few people and again same issue again. Now I'm on the 4th one it's the same problem oh and wait the install team broke the pedestal and tucked the trash under my hot water tank and didn't even tell me that they had broke the pedestal. Needless to say I called a appliance repair man to tell me what the actual problem was since no one was telling me anything the repair man told me it was in fact a leveling issue and that the machine wasn't broken. And as well best buy should retrain there customer service reps to better handle a customer and not "noping" them and tell them there's nothing they can do. There home delivery people is a whole other issue. I will be going somewhere else to purchase the matching dryer and the Samsung refrigerator I'm sure another retailer would love my business.

Heaven help you if you have an issue with a Samsung appliance. The only companies that support their products are the worst repair shops in a given area. If you do buy a Samsung appliance, I highly recommend considering a Geek Squad warranty just to avoid Samsung support. Our washer has had a myriad of issues, ranging from an unresponsive touch screen to incomplete cycles (washer just stops midway). We've had the LCD screen and mainboard replaced already. Now we have a new issue where the LCD screen goes completely blank and flashes randomly during a cycle.

Design Flaw

I bought the washer brand new. After the third use, the tray that you put the laundry detergent in, fills with water after each wash. You have to empty the water out to put detergent in for the next load. I called support, possibly the worst service you can get, after being put on hold 4 times over a 35 minute period, I was told to run the Sanitize Cycle and that would fix unclog it. It took 2 hours and 25 minutes to run the Sanitize Cycle and it did not fix the problem. I only used High Efficiency detergent in it. Samsung's customer service is REALLY BAD and I am not usually the type to complain. I will not buy a Samsung product again because the support is so awful.

We've had problems with the washer not completing the wash cycle. Called Samsung and getting someone to come to the house to check it out was a real pain. It will be a week minimum without a washer and that's not good when you have kids.

Bogus WiFi Gimmick

Billed as WiFi controlled, this Samsung product will only connect to 5 models of Samsung products, none of which are a "nexus" anything or an iPhone. Touch the machine when it is working by WiFi and the whole thing disconnects and resets What a gimmick. Should have bought a less expensive model.
