    tv stop working 22 days from purchase. asked best buy . to help . told me no return after 14 days and could not help me at all , never buy at best buy again , sure this review will only be thrown away , wasting my time and $ 2200.00 thank you for nothing

    I was told this TV was as good as my plasma. The picture on The SUHD was nowhere near as clear. The picture quality was washed out, the picture so bright and glaring that it gave watchers a headache. I would never have bought the TV if I had known. I paid $400 to have the Geek squad install. I had the TV returned, but lost the Geek squad fee, and had to pay another $200 to reinstall my plasma.

    I didn't see that much difference from the TV I already have, which is a 1080p so I returned it.

    Quietly the Best 4K TV of 2016

    This was probably the best 4K TV on the market in 2016. At least for the price point, it certainly can be said 'You get what you pay for'. I did a lot of research before purchasing the KS8000, and if you really want a solid review go to www.rtings.com, the video and information on this model is absolutely outstanding. I am not well versed with TV lingo and 50 cent verbiage regarding tech terminology but I learned a lot with doing my research and visiting that ratings site. Regarding this TV, please keep in mind that the more expensive 'elite' KS9000 Model is basically the same thing, but you will be paying an extra $1000 for the 'top' version. It is a Samsung gimmick, the Best Buy salesman will likely try to sell you on the more expensive model...but if you tell them what I just wrote...the rebuttle will likely be quiet and pathetic, because they know it's true. One thing the Best Buy sales team did tell me is that this Samsung 4K TV series is generally better looking than the LG -OLED TV's that are on the market at this point...and they ARE more expensive. Regarding gaming & app streaming...I do not have a PS4 Pro or XBox 1 S which are 4K ready or compatible but I do have a 1st gen PS4 and it looks stellar with gaming and apps such as youtube & Netflix. As in i'm absolutely blown away by how sharp everything looks. The colors are vibrant and I feel like the whites and blacks are extraordinary like nothing I've ever seen before on a TV. I have not owned the set long enough to be able to properly calibrate all of the visual settings to exactly the way I want but there are a plethora of options available for every viewing choice. So far these are the ratings I would give each facet of my viewing experience: Video Games - 8 Blu Rays - 9 Sports - 7.5 TV Shows - 8.5 Netflix - 9 YouTube - 8.5 I still need to try out Hulu Plus but I'm sure it looks fantastic. I have not been using the Samsung Smarthub for apps since I prefer to go through my PS4 for all of that content, however it does seem to be a very user-friendly system. Keep in mind all of this content has been viewed outside of even utilizing the HDR+ viewing feature. So my point is that it could potentially look even better! When it comes to the TV aesthetics this set is a knockout, for a guy it's kind of like the girl next door with the great figure, pretty eyes, face, hair and everything else except she wore glasses and got overshadowed by her best friend the Cheerleader prom queen (The LG- OLED). I'll take the 'girl next door' any day of the week. In all honesty this TV is sharp! the Bezzle is very thin and has a flashy but subtle silver edge to it, and the bottom center has a Samsung logo that lights up...which looks classy and cool. The KS8000 is incredibly thin too, albeit a bit heavier than I expected. The remote is extremely simple but in a good way, you won't get lost with all kinds of unnecessary buttons but instead you'll enjoy just using a few to help guide you through everything you need. I love it! All in all I'd give this TV a 9 out of 10. I know technology moves quickly with TV's and the next best thing will be out in 2017 and beyond but this is the kind of set I can expect to have and enjoy for at least 5 years. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who loves video games, sports, and appreciates the quality of action and visuals on blurays. I have yet to enjoy anything in 4k other than youtube Vids...which look beautiful, but I can tell once there is more content available that it will be one of the defining features of this model. Enjoy!

    The tv is great, geek squad install terrible

    The tv arrived at 5:30 when it was due before noon. The service tech did not have an order for the installation on the wall. He set it up on a table, but not on the wall as ordered. I was out of town and not available to show my copy of the order. The install failed and a call for phone support was unsatisfactory. The support agent was insulting, and when asked for his name he hung up. The service was fully quoted and paid for and when we called for the service to be completed they now want us to pay an additional 44.00. This has been a thoroughly unsatisfactory experience. BYW, a similar review was given to Geek Squad with no response. This is the third experience with the geek squad. I have had difficulties in the past but not this terrible.

    Wifi Problem, Returning

    Bought the tv yesterday, was able to connect to wifi, BUT then it keeps getting dropped every minute. No apps came up. Basically WIFI receiver is totally faulty. Unfortunately, I have not read the reviews of this tv. Most of the people have same problems, WIFI. You dont want to keep an expensive tv that partially works, oh partially meant it works with cable directly only. You wont be able to use any wifi features. Just wasted my time and learned my lesson not to read reviews. Its not the bestbuy who can control, but the samsung. To bestbuy- please keep the best product only. You have a reputation

    Colors too bright

    We cannot get the blues and greens to be lighter without lightening all other colors too much. Quite aggravating on our eyes. We would have returned if it wasn't past the 15-day Best Buy return date policy. Not sure anyone needs the 4K yet, seems too new and needs tweaking.

    BEST TV I HAVE EVER OWNED

    Picked this up on Black Friday and after using it for a month, this is the best TV I have ever owned (excluding my projector). I decided to go a few steps up from the $500-$600 range and I am so happy I did, it is worth every penny. I have never seen a picture so beautiful even on non-UHD sources, and it even upscales 480p DVD's and TV shows to the point I am seeing more detail than ever before, an amazing upscaler. I love the remote and its simplicity, though I wish it were a bit bigger or white rather than black as it is easy to lose or not see where it is. The apps are great and the way you set them up is so easy and perfect for quick picking. I wish that they would have allowed for a center stand as an option, as I had to get a new stand because the feet are so wide apart, and there is a secondary position for the legs but it isn't that far away from the wider ones. I also wish that it had a few extra inputs like component and RCA jacks, but I have managed to hook things up. My one major complaint is the lack of 3D as I have a huge library of over 400 3D blu-rays I would like the option of showing on something other than my JVC projector, and I did consider the Sony model which is in a similar price range to get the 3D but almost all reviews for that say that in the 65" model, the 3D is all screwed up and unwatchable and Sony is not fixing it. Aside from the lack of 3D , this is an incredible television and I can't see anyone being unhappy with this purchase.

    I returned and upgrade to the 65 inch KS8500 and it is so much better than this t.v. I would recommend spending the extra money and getting the KS8500 65 inch.......

    Amazing TV for any Home

    I've been so surprised and amazed with this TV ever since I've brought it home. Store Impressions: Out of all the TVs that I was looking very closely at, this one had grabbed my attention the most for the features and the price. The TV looked very sleek, picture quality is very impressive, and the sound just blew me away. I was also happy to see the sale price of the TV and I was just sold at that point. Setup and Position: This TV was a piece of cake to put together and get ready for the first time use. I will admit the TV itself is heavy and awkward for one person so I would recommend having a friend help out with setting up the TV. No tools are required to set up the TV on the stands as they pop into the TV and that's it. The stand in my opinion looks very nice on the TV and is very sturdy. The TV comes with a cool OneConnet box that allows you to move the HDMI, Coax, and optical audio connections for the TV any place that is easy and convenient to connect your devices to the TV. I thought this was a cool touch, instead of making cords reach your TV you could move this box closer to the cords. Be aware that if you're an old school gamer (NES, Sega, or N64 for an example): you will need a HDMI solution to connect to the TV as there is no RCA connections. The power cord is a little smaller than I would like but it still reached my power outlet and connected to the back of the TV with ease. For internet connectivity, you can either use wireless or an Ethernet cable to the TV directly. In my case, I just used the wireless option. Turning on the TV for the first time: The first time setup wizard is so user-friendly and walks you through getting your TV all setup. It walks you through setting up your network settings to finding all your HDMI connected devices. Was able to get my TV setup in less than 5 minutes and I was watching TV in no time. Using the TV: Overall this TV has been the most user-friendly and easy to use TV that I've ever own. The remote feels very nice to navigate between different apps menus, channels, and controlling the TV. You can even speak to the TV remote to easily control the TV. To pull up Netflix or Youtube is fast and I was watching some of my favorite videos and movies in no time. The picture quality looks so perfect for even normal HD content. Playing my video console has never felt so fun and immersive. TL; DR: Overall, I've been very impressed with this TV and purchase. Installation was so easy and quick. I was watching my favorite videos and movies with the sharpest picture that I've ever seen in a very long time. I would highly recommend this TV to anybody that is looking for the sharpest picture for their movies, video games, and videos. I can't think of a single con on this TV while writing this review other than there is no RCA connection for old devices but there are solutions around this.

    Had to get repaired with in a month of purchase.

    The product needed repairs after I had purchased it on April 01, 2017 and it went on May 09, 2017. The mother board had went bad and the TV kept turning off and on in matter of minutes and would not stop that cycle. I had to unplug it to stop it. I plugged it back in and it did the same thing again. I had to get Best Buy to come and fix it. It was the mother board the technician stated. Its working now but who know with this TV model.

    Horrible T.V for watching sports

    Kept this T.V for less than 12 hours and returned for it a Sony. I watch mainly sports and the samsung was absolutely horrible the legs of players would actually disappear while watching a basketball Game. After returning it I was told from the manager at Best Buy that they've had several of the same complaints about this T.V. The T.V may be fine for someone who is not an advid sports or action movie viewer.

    Bleed through problems

    I loved the picture, but there was bleeding through at the bottom of the screen. I went through three of these 60 inch televisions trying to find one that didn't have any problems. All had bleeding through problems switched to a Sony no problems.

    Well Rounded TV

    Upgraded from a LG 4K TV (I bought last Black Friday) to this Samsung KS8000. All I have to say is that I am very happy about taking that decision and here is why: -The TV overall looks better on the outside, the metal details are very high end. -The picture quality is top notch. The TV has a lot of different settings depending on the occasion (Black Room, Bright Room, Movie). -The contrast ratio is amazing and the HDR feature looks very good specially for colorful films such as The Great Gatsby. I did bought a Blu Ray Player that also up-scales from Full HD to UHD 4K and the resolution gets breathtaking (My previous LG TV did not really up-scaled that well compared to this one). In conclusion the TV has been working great and the picture quality is amazing for not being an OLED TV. I would definitely recommend this TV for anyone who is looking for a well rounded usage (Gaming, TV, Sports, Movies).

    I first purchased an LG 60UH8500 TV and was really disappointed in the poor contrast, low light levels, and overall bland picture quality. Many of the images looked washed out or just drab and no amount of tweaking the picture settings seemed to help. After reading the reviews of the KS8000, I decided to take my LG back and purchase a 60" KS8000. Boy, was I shocked at how good the picture is on this TV! The first thing I did was turn off the "Auto Motion Plus" since I don't like the soap opera effect. Then I put in Star Wars The Force Awakens and sat back and just kept grinning at how wonderful the picture looks. The images just pop out of the screen. The color accuracy is just awesome and the contrast levels are so good that I would swear I was watching the movie on an OLED TV. I tried a few other videos, all with the same results--the picture quality on this set is just amazing, and again, with almost no tweaking at all on my part. I'm 100% happy with this TV and can't recommend it enough. So what are the drawbacks? No 3D and only HDMI inputs. So if you have a Wii #which I do# you'll have to get some kind of converter in order to use it or use your receive to do the conversion to HDMI if it supports it. Otherwise you're out of luck. Finally the remote is a little oddball and doesn't have a lot of buttons on it. I think I'll just stick with my universal remote. Other than those things, everything else is great. The 1080P picture quality is just astounding so I can only assume the 4K video will be even better. Can't recommend this TV enough if you really care about image quality of the TV you are buying.

    You have got to be kidding me! The sound bar is not installed, I have gone to the store AND called to get someone to finish this job. So far I would never recommend the GEEKS for work.
