Badass TV

This was a Christmas gift to myself and it was well worth the money. I love it, the things you can do with it are amazing and the price was right for the time that I bought it in November of 2019.

Not compatible with AV High End Theater Receivers

I was so happy with the display in the store but became frustrated as soon as it was delivered and mounted on my wall. The picture quality is super but this model has a inherent design glitch with home theaters. As soon I started to set up the tv I realized that the software wouldn’t default to play audio through my av surround sound receiver. I quickly jumped on google and figured out that I had to trick the tv to recognize my pioneer receiver by labeling it “wards”. This worked for about a month then out of nowhere the pioneer dropped and boom no sound. I then jump back on google and learn that you have to unplug the tv overnight and then carefully plug in the pioneer receiver first in HDMI port 4 and program it as “wards” to get it to recognize the receiver again. I had to do this about every 6 month when it randomly dropped the receiver. Then one day the sound while hooked up to the received started to go in and out while watching Netflix. I though maybe it was due to slower internet congestion, but nope. Two days later the sound permanently stamped working through the pioneer receiver no matter how I reset the tv or reconnected the device. I am no awaiting geek squad visit to diagnose the problem with 2 months left on my geek squad service plan. This is a very sad state of affairs for a $4k tv. Samsung’s quality control and software is too glitchy for me to every buy another Samsung.

QLED is the way to go
