This monitor does everything that it says it will do. The picture quality is great, response speeds are exceptional and customizable through the menus. The base functions are as intended. Great for gaming (Fast response with MBR/others, 165Mhz with DP and capable PC) and general use. The reason I give three stars is because this monitor suffers from some quality-of-life problems that are very annoying, can be disruptive, and takes away from the overall enjoyment of the product. The monitor has tendency to cut off after inactive use instead of going into a proper standby mode that will allow it to turn on when receiving a signal from a device. In a multimonitor setup, this will cause the other monitors to take over as the main, requiring the Odyssey to be manually powered on which causes windows to go crazy with the display configuration. Another issue is that when in a multi-monitor setup, if HDR is used, some display options are broken or causes massive compatibility issues with the other displays. I am unsure if using all Samsung products would make a difference, and for reference I have a Dell and HP monitor connected to the same PC. I also use a docking station for work that connects via HDMI to the Odyssey and the auto switching ability is non-functional at least in my experience. These are hardware problems that have stifled and frustrated me in my use of it. There is another glaring issue that is intermittent but very annoying and shocking when it happens. If the monitor is off for a long time, manually turned on and given signal too quick, or too cold, the monitor will display a mess of colored vertical lines reflecting the background image that should be displaying. The only way to correct this is to unplug the monitor entirely from power, or sometimes an on/off cycle will fix it. In the case of cold, it took roughly an hour to correct with lingering effects until the monitor warmed up. By the time I called a Samsung rep, it has dissipated just enough to not be able to capture a picture of. This is extremely annoying and worrisome and has left me wondering if my monitor is broke when it happens. The firmware is current, and everything is up to date, I have tried various configurations of options, and nothing seems to have a permeant fix to the problem. Overall, the monitor is a great product for what it is indented to do and sold for. The biggest problem is these QOL problems that dampen the total enjoyment and functionally. I imagine a firmware update, or some kind of troubleshooting option would be a good fix, but Samsung (as of my call) was unaware of this issue. In the event of repairs or solution, this monitor would be a standout in its class and price range. I would not recommend unless you are comfortable with the performance accompanied by these issues I have listed above.

I don’t normally do this, but I’m thoroughly impressed. I bought this eight months ago and wanted to wait to write this to give an honest review with some longevity behind it. I will buy another to have a dual monitor set up. This monitor is everything you need. The image quality is out of this world. I’ve seen a lot of reviews on dead pixels on this particular monitor. I myself have not had this issue. The only issue I have with this monitor is the fact that there are no built in speakers. It isn’t that big of issue for someone like myself who has a surround sound or strictly games on a headset, but for this price point I would’ve liked to see it have speakers. I think that a lot of people are making the switch th pc gaming after the console crisis like I did myself. A lot of new pc gamers will not appreciate that they have to buy a surround sound or game with a headset. This is literally the only reason it did not get 5 stars. Hats off to Samsung and Best Buy.

Best monitor i have had and especially dor the price you cant beat that. What i mainly like is the fact that its a 2k display and has a super high refresh rate. One thing i dont like is that there are not built in speakers. But, the way the monitor performs definitely makes up for not having speakers. Highly recommend for those who like a quick response time and crisp graphics!!!

Really a beautiful monitor. I was deciding between this one and the GIGABYTE - M27Q 27" LED QHD. I bought both and returned the Gigabyte; the following is a summary as to why. Performance-wise, the Gigabyte is actually slightly better, but not in any remarkable way that would be noticeable to a simpleton like me (i.e., in absence of a professional performance measurement software). It is a gaming monitor, which has the capacity to rotate on a swivel to stand up vertically (can hook up PS5 or XBOX to game). Although I rarely use the vertical orientation, I REALLY LOVE HOW SMOOTH the physical parts are when adjusting the display; this was the main reason I chose this monitor over the Gigabyte, which felt like cheap China crap. Cons: Too few ports. This display ONLY has ONE HDMI PORT! Overall, I use this as a dedicated monitor for my laptop. Never had any issues, feels like quality, swivels up vertically and viewing angle adjusts very comfortably, multipurpose as gaming display, looks good, and it was available for a nice price. Good color and nice contrast. Between the max resolution and refresh rate, it brings the perfect medium for gaming, streaming movies and shows. I have enjoyed this monitor so much that I ordered another for the dual setup

I love this monitor. I upgraded from a 24” non gaming monitor. The image quality is terrific. I use it as a secondary screen for my gaming laptop and the main display for my PS5. Only downfall is it has only 1 hdmi port and 1 DisplayPort but that’s no huge problem

Overall I was pleased with the monitor’s offerings. It has decent specs for this price point. Compared to other IPS monitors the blacks were pretty decent but I did have to turn the black level to its max level of 5. I experienced no ghosting or flickering. It worked perfectly fine with G-Sync enabled which can also be used with HDR turned on, something not all monitors seem capable of doing. However as with most HDR 400 monitors when you enable HDR it washes out the screen. Backlight bleed is no stranger to monitors, especially lately. The screen was nearly uniform in color and brightness except for a very bright corner on the bottom left. It was very distracting. I went searching for other reviews and I found one with pictures of the same exact bottom left corner brightness. I decided to return this monitor and not exchange it for another one. Sometimes you have to play panel lottery to get a good one but considering this other reviewer has an identical bright bleed in the exact same spot but purchased from a different vendor I decided to move on from this unit. If you decide to purchase this unit you could end up with a very nice monitor with a beautiful display and not have my issue. Or you could have my same exact issues. Good luck!

Overall this is a good monitor for 1440p high refresh rate gameplay. However, I can only give it 3 stars due to the terrible quality control from Samsung. The first monitor I received ended up having some stuck pixels so I exchanged it and luckily the second monitor had no stuck/dead pixels. Other than that, its a solid monitor and I will be keeping it. However, there is back light bleed in the bottom left corner (there are numerous other reviews that have this issue in the exact same spot), but it just doesn’t bother me enough to try and exchange it again and possibly end up with another defect. Just be weary of quality control and be prepared to play the panel lottery. I definitely would not pay full price for this monitor due to the high chances of receiving a defect, but if you can find it on sale for under $300 then maybe its worth a shot to try and get a monitor without issues. If Samsung had better quality control then I would give it 5 stars. PS. if you are gaming on the ps5 (many other reviews talk about this issue specifically with the ps5) then this monitor might not be for you because the screen would randomly flash white during gameplay if free sync is on. after turning free sync off, I have not had this issue happen again so far.

Works and looks amazing definitely happy with this purchase until I broke it

Has great picture when in game but the IPS glow on the left corner is hard to look pass. Still deciding if I want to keep. Will say it looks great while playing games

Amazing quality, doesn’t fail me but over large amount over time it started flashing way too often but other than that was very nice for gaming.

I needed a good crisp monitor not only for business, yet for gaming. Found this during Black Friday deals, and had to get a second. Now i'm awaiting my 3rd to get shipped into a store to pick up. It'll be well worth it. Great picture and amazing quality!

The monitor works great once you can actually put it together. It was a little difficult to attach the stand to the back of the monitor but once it’s in the monitor is fantastic! The picture looks great!

Great so far. Picture is great. Works great with my Series X. I have it on a swing mount. Got it on sale soo even more worth it.

Very good gaming monitor, bought it for my PS5. After dialing in the settings there is a very minimal amount of backlight bleed, but nothing crazy. It also supports 4k up scaling which looks very crisp and amazing on games. The monitor does tend to turn all-white or all-black for a few seconds when 120hz mode is on, but with 144 it’s nonexistant. Overall if you can find this on sale for ~$250, it’s a great deal and a steal.

Couldn't be happier with this monitor. The picture quality is amazing, the G-Sync abilities take tons of strain off of the GPU for not having to use V-Sync options, and overall the monitor fits all of my needs with ease. 20/10 would recommend.

Fantastic monitor, I use it for my Xbox Series X. I game in 1440p at 120hz.

Overall a nice monitor for the cost.this is our second one purchased, my wife uses both for working from home. She likes it because it is easy on her eyes working on them for a long period. Daughter plays games using this monitor and it has great screen quality. Not lagging from what we have all noticed. I would definitely purchase this screen again
