Let's be honest, I purchased my first NEO G9 directly from Samsung and the core lighting did not work. I had it for a week trying to get it to work and I ended up returning it. I purchased it through my company's discount program through Samsung. After getting my refund from Samsung, I found the same monitor for less at Best Buy and decided to give it another go. Since bringing this one home, I've had nothing but enjoyment from it. I've heard lots about Q/A issues with Samsung but this one shows no signs of issues. It's now been 7 months and I couldn't be happier! I use the monitor with a Razer Blade 17 that I bought two months before. I use it at full 5120x1440 resolution and at 240 Hz. I regularly get > 200 fps in most games and no screen lag, choppiness, stutter, or image tearing. I see that there is now an OLED version of this monitor and I almost wish I had waited but no regrets. This thing is amazing.

PSA: 1. MOUNT this monitor. The desk stand is lame and bad. 2. YOU DO NOT NEED a $400 Ergotron HX mount. Ignore the nerds on Reddit and the marketing propaganda. I bought a $90 mount off Amazon (by Forging Mount) with a 43in fully articulating arm, and it holds this thing just fine. Now onto the review: Legitimately stunning. My first ultrawide monitor. I have a 65in HiSense 4k TV in the same room that is covered in dust because I forget that it exists. Would literally be perfect if this monitor was 2160p vertical like the 57in version that just released, but at the same time that's a lot of pixels to drive. Note if you're using this with PC that I have a 4070 Ti and driving this at 5120x1440p WILL make you struggle to stay up above 60 FPS with max settings on new games if you don't have a 4090, so plan accordingly.

This would be an amazing monitor if the HDR worked in gaming. SDR content looks great, fast response times in games. I run 144hz mode with a HDMI 2.1 cable then have a display port to HDMI connected the samsung Dolby atmos sound bar, due to this reason I can't run this at 240hz, however 144hz is more then enough for me. Now for the big negative, as mentioned before the HDR in gaming is all washed out, even in windows everything is washed out. Playing HDR video works, but that's it. Now if this monitor was $1000 or $1500 I might say it's worth it, but as of now, it's not. When the big selling point is HDR gaming and it doesn't even work that's a big red flag. I'm hoping this gets fixed in a software update, but not holding my breath. I may take this back and get the Asus PG35VQ, although I do love the 32:9 aspect ratio but the broken HDR is almost a deal breaker. 3 Stars because the SDR performance is excellent, if HDR in gaming worked 5 stars easy. For this reason at this high price point I can not recommend this product.

Just wanna say that this monitor is only worth it when it’s on sale got this one for $800 off during the Black Friday weekend and is well worth it when on sale. Now if you purchase this monitor for full price just know that It has a few issues. HDR is a bit finicky when enable in windows. Parts of the panel do flicker/flash during bright seen, the blooming that happens during vibrant scenes does look bad at times but if you play around with the windows hdr setting and use a high quality DP cable, you should have no issues. Don’t know how some of these panels passes QC but I I’d experience most of the same issues I’ve seen others post about in Reddit. Essie’s all of that it’s a beautiful monitor.

I’ve had this monitor for two years now and it has performed amazingly. Initially it was teamed up with a Alienware laptop and while it managed it wasn’t stellar. I upgraded to a PC with 64gb of ram and a RTX4090 and this monitor just about flew off my desk. The performance has been fantastic. I’m confident that while the laptop was a gaming laptop it lacked the strength to push this monitor. With an adequate system it is a game changer.

I purchased this monitor as a "gift" to myself. MAN WAS IT WORTH IT!! I've used this monitor primarily for gaming and have loved EVERY GAME I'VE PLAYED with it. When gaming with friends, I've made some observations within the game that my friends commonly reply, "How are you seeing that?!?!" The images have been amazing and I know that my next monitor will be a variation of this.

Beautiful monitor, and it looks what it costs. Love it for work and occasional gaming. HOWEVER, so far it's been a really frustrating experience with Samsung: The first monitor I received (the one currently using) has 3 dead pixels, and randomly has like screen interference or something (unable to upload the video), so I asked for a replacement, which Best Buy as awesome as they are, sent right away. Monitor #2 arrived, and the stick that is used to control the menu, was stuck to one of the sides, so it was unusable. Unknown if it had dead pixels or not. So I have to return those and "buy the monitor again" since Best Buy had already sent a replacement. Well, the new one (3rd same monitor) arrived and the black rear strip of the monitor was broken, so I didn't even had to get it out of the box to know it was defective. Currently waiting on Monitor #4 to see if it arrives w/o any defects. I'll post my review update when that one arrives. You would think a $2,500 monitor (2K on sale) will come w/o any defects, just like any TV or anything else. Yet it seems as if Samsung has no quality control in their factory! So frustrating ! Best Buy though, has been so awesome and helpful. This is not on BB, but Samsung instead! ugh!!

This monitor is awsome. It has everything built in to run 3 or 4 windows for work and 1 giant one for gaming. Just be sure to put it together before taking it all the way out of the box.

Yeah, this is one of those "wow" purchases. I honestly primarily use it for productivity / day to day stuff. Combining it with my M1 Max, a TS4 docking station and the Moom app for great window management control...and you've got a very powerful machine. I have family members that use it for gaming as well (the multiple port connections makes this very easy)...and its definitely an amazing experience. Only down side is i wish the back light was brighter...it really doesnt show up at all on the wall which is a little disappointing, but thats a small thing compared to the rest. HIGHLY recommend getting a mount for this. The stand legs stick out very far and eat a lot of desk space.

Was first in line on July 29th to preorder the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 monitor. It looks great in my office and it's fun to game on. This monitor is being supported by the following equipment: FE GTX 3080Ti (472.12 driver) Intel i9-11900K / MSI z590 64GB Memory Windows 11 I'm also running a LG 39inch Ultrawide and a Samsung 29inch 4K UHD monitor (3 monitors total) There are some issues that I think will be (hope?) will be resolved with firmware and or driver updates. Issues: 1) Screen frequently goes blank and then back on when adjusting brightness in some games running HDR where Windows HDR is being used. Unsure if this is because of Windows HDR or the monitor itelf. The problem was extreme in firmware 1004 and made slightly better in 1006. 2) When multiple monitors are attached, the screen does not activate during reboot. It does not matter which display port on the video card the G9 monitor is in. I have to manually unplug the G9 monitor from the video card, let the monitors resize and then plug the G9 monitor back in to get a picture. 3) The Firmware process is a little cumbersome. If you are using the USB ports and trying to do a Firmware upgrade, the instructions are not clear about the fact that nothing else can be attached to the USB connections. As for the HDR issues that everyone else is complaining about, it's possible I just don't know what HDR looks like. So I have no reference point. I haven't seen an issue. But I'm not an authority figure onit. But, this monitor is beautiful in my opinion. The games are bright and crisp, 240Hz no issue. I've gotten to about 230 FPS in Call of Duty (had to do some extreme cooling on the card to get temps down). I do wish to some extent this was a full 4K resolution, but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying it.

This monitor is Great, Equivalent to 2X 27inch side by side. 240hz G-sync, freesync. 1ms response. 2048 diming zone for great HDR.

I got this monitor when it was on sale at 30% off price matched from Amazon for Black Friday 2022. The cheapest I've seen this is 33% off so not much difference. I've had no trouble with this monitor ao far other than display port jiggling problems getting this to work with multiple monitors. Please note without it being mounted it takes up a lot of tablespace. More than you would think. Always afraid of dead pixels during shipping and i did find 1 dead pixel, beleieve me when i say that the pixels are so small that you wont notice unless you test for it so during games and use you will not notice especially if it is on the edge of the monitor. Haven' tried PIP with a console yet as i use this for pc gaming and editing, but im sure it would be great.

No issues so far despite the quality control issues I’ve heard of, overall it’s an awesome monitor and can have so many things open at once on the screen and it’s amazing for gaming in ultra wide. Just be sure to pick up the 4 year replacement plan to be on the safe side.

Great monitor . I bought 2 one form Best Buy other from Samsung directly and the one from Best Buy was the better one . It came with older firmware but after update it runs fine without any image issue. Meanwhile I had to return the other to vertical banding. The size and image quality is great. Highly recommended when you can buy with discount.

The quality is amazing when playing games! You can split it in two screens, which I love!
