Definitely the most best buy no pun intended. Lol I bought all year. I work from playing PS five on a 75 inch to this way quicker play graphics are nice the curve feeling give me a better look at while I’m playing. The refresh rate is fast enough for you help me with Above & Beyond and I told him what I wanted and he showed me what I needed.

The overall quality is very good the smart hub interface is very smooth and works well like a high-end tv. It is also comes with a nice game hub that is very convenient. It is very easy out of the box to setup it is quite intuitive. The height adjustment is very smooth very seemless, the tilt is just as good, and the portrait mode rotation is quite convenient if you are using it as a side monitor, but it still works very well as a main monitor. The settings for the monitor and pretty customizable as well. The monitor comes with speakers that are surprisingly good and well rounded with good highs and lows, but if a speaker is available I would recommend for a even better experience. In terms of display it is one of the better ones with good dark and light areas and good definition, and expected from a gaming monitor of this range it has good refeesh rates. Although kind of a superfical feature the LEDS are very good and are customizable so they can match the screen making it very immersive. Overall a good monitor and would recommend for a well rounded experience.

Great monitor, but it acts more like a tv than a monitor. It also lags when you turn it on so my windows will jump back and forth between both monitors. Great product just doesn’t work great for me

Beautiful imaging displayed with my PC. This was my first curved monitor in which made for immersive gaming experiencing. My only complaint is the screen started to lift from frame about a year later in the middle. Fortunately no issues with display despite lifting.

I bought an open box (excellent condition) to go with my new Skytech PC around November 2023. When I received the monitor, it had everything except 2 screws for mounting the monitor to the stand. I went in to my local best buy and spoke to someone about my problem, because it is highly frustrating to be missing only 2 screws and they are the most important ones to be missing! The guy I spoke to tried looking in the back for a monitor similar, since they did not have any in stock at the time for holiday season sales going on, and the only ones he had from samsung were older models that did not have screws to connect the base to the monitor but rather a type of hinge. So I was out of luck there. He reccomended for me to go by batteries bulbs and more, or a local computer store, because they might have the very small metric screws I needed. I went to Lowes home improvement instead and found a small pack of slightly longer screws than I needed, but it got the job done for me and those screws are doing a great job holding my beautiful computer monitor together! I am in love with my computer desk set up, and this monitor was a perfect fit for my room. I love the RGB light on the back of the monitor and how it lights up part of my wall. I love the 2 little 'windows' on the front of the monitor that show me the RGB light too. I have all samsung tv's in my house, so I'm very familiar with the remote provided to use for turning on off, using to change inputs, or even getting to the smart hub home to stream shows and movies. Yes, it does have to be turned on manually when you turn your PC on, but if it does not detect anything on, it will turn off after 45 seconds which is nice if I forget to turn the monitor off after turning my PC off. I love the curved screen look better than flat, so this style is perfect for me, and I know this is not 4K but the picture is so clear on my 27" screen that I don't care about 4K for now. I highly recommend the Samsung Odyssey monitor series and have no complaints! My only warning is for those who like to buy open box like me, don't get cursed with missing screws like I did! :)

This monitor sucked. But I liked it a lot. Because good va panel. Nice colors for gaming. Not so great for watching movies. And it’s not worth full price because its movies have lots of motion blur and screen tearing. And it’s because of these reasons that I do not recommend. Just get a better monitor and get a fire stick for it or chromecast or Apple TV. That’s what I’m gonna do. Woah, this has to be 50 characters by now. Seriously, is this not fifty characters???

I first off want to say I love this monitor and all that it offers with the amazing looking display and speed of it in general. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because it has one dead pixel in the top left corner. it’s not to noticeable as of right now and just looks like there is something permanently stuck to the screen. Would 100% buy this again if only it didn’t have a dead pixel.

This monitor is great whenever it works. After a month of regular use I noticed a dead pixel. Shortly after this the entire display went dead. I’m sure this was a manufacturer defect but for the money that is unacceptable.

After a long research this was the monitor with all the specs I needed. Best buy reveiw were either one star for bad build quality or 5stars with peoole being very happy about it, so I decided to ignore the bad once. First one I recieved had a bad pixel as u can see on the picture. Returned it and today I got the replacement just to set it up and see 2 dead pixels this time. Very disappointed and and wont try another time. For the once who are wondering it has a G-sync in the menu but the nvidia test shows it doesn't work. Would only recomend to the people that would pay 500$ for a monitor and are okay with getting a dead pixel on it

3 week review. I got this for my boyfriend because he is an avid PC gamer. His other monitor was old and all he talked about was he needed a new one. Well I surprised him with this one after asking him what he liked and needed. He hust thought i was really into it but i just enjoyed him lighting up about gaming and this stuff lol. He came unboxed and was so elated for it and once he started playing the refresh rate and all that other tech gaming talk was excellent. He had no complaints enjoys all this monitor offers. I may get one for myself to work off of. This is a must buy and worth every penny.

So after having and testing this monitor for a week, I can say I'm mostly pleased with it at this cost level. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had smart functions built in to make watching streaming services easy and integrated. It also comes with a nice little rechargeable remote that connects via USBC. It actually feels decently made. You also have some buttons on the center underside of the frame of the monitor to help with control. The overall putting it together process was very simply and intuitive, took less than 5min. This does have a rather large power supply that runs a bit hot, just to be noted. As for picture quality, this is a QHD/2k monitor that supports G and Freesync with up to 240Hz. I was able to run Apex and Fortnite on max settings with my rig and achieve stable visuals at hfr. The actual picture is fairly decent. It does have HDR support, albeit at a basic level that doesn't really give you the pop you find on higher level iterations, but it's still noticeable. I also enjoy the curved screen for immersion. The area if lacks and loses a star is the black level. Which is ironic being that it's listed as a VA panel, which should have superb blacks and contrast. It's not terrible, I just noticed some backlight bleed and flashlighting on dark scenes. This is something that is likely to vary from device to device. I also appreciate the built in speakers. They're not the best, lacking any real low end, but are perfectly acceptable for watching a show or streaming videos if you don't want to wear your headset and don't have an external system. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the almighty RGB lighting as well. It is subtle, yet present. Only showing on the lower speaker portion of the monitor casing, as well as the central connection of the stand to the monitor on the back. Of which it has this semi translucent plastic cog design that helps diffuse the lighting. Overall, this is a great monitor with a lot of features at a decent price point. It's only shortcomings are in the HDR and somewhat inconsistent black levels, but that's to be expected, as this isn't an OLED. It's base is also rather large and obtuse. Response time is excellent, as well as it meeting it's other specified specs.

Awesome monitor i decided to upgrade to this G6 after owning a G3 for 4 years and it was a major upgrade but, it came with its flaws. Barely have it for 2 weeks and right after my return day had passed and 1hr into gaming after a long day of work, it randomly shut down and it wont turn on anymore. Now im stuck without a monitor and waiting on samsungs warranty.

As a software engineer and FPS gaming lover, i would say this monitor perfectly satisfy all my demands.

The Samsung G6 is a great gaming monitor, and an excellent choice for FPS fans or shooters in general for its high refresh rates, quick response that mostly addresses ghosting, and great colors for a VA panel. This is my first Curved VA monitor; I’ve mostly used ISP or TN flat panels as my main use is Shooters or spreadsheets. Pro: - Tons of features including 240hz refresh rate, fast & extreme response times, 2K resolution, AMD FreeSync that works with the G-Sync Compatible feature. And many more. - Colors were amazing for a VA panel, coming from an ISP and TN panel setup, this was a good balance between. - The remote. Seriously, this is great feature I wish more monitors had. Cons: - The menus are a bit finicky at times, often skipping two options with a single click. - The local dimming is sub part at best, better left off. - The Curve on this size of a monitor doesn’t make as big of a difference as it would on a larger monitor or wider format. My Experience - I’ve used the Samsung G6 as my main monitor for a little over a week now and have adjusted well to the curve. Honestly, it’s not as big of an impact as I thought it would be for good or bad. When gaming it does make seeing the full screen a bit easier but with this being a 27in monitor the effects of the curve are not as impactful as when using a wider format screen. The setup was super easy, this thing literally plays music for you while it guides you through the setup process. There is an option to setup via smart phone or remote, I did both through a reset, but both are very streamlined and easy to follow, taking only 10-15mins. The monitor performed amazing while playing Destiny 2 and Fortnite. 240hz frame rate helped keep the game feeling smooth, and setting the response time to Fast really reduced the VA panel ghosting. I would warn that setting the response time to Extreme would result in overshoot, where the image gets too bright or odd color corrections would occur in some cases. I ended up stepping back down to Fast from Extreme as I was getting a headache due to the high contrast. This monitor has local dimming, but for how it performs it is better to just keep it off. The monitor is backlite from the edge, so all local dimming does is cause horribly backlight flickering while playing most games. It’s a feature better left off. To be fair, few monitors in this range and spec do any better so not holding this against the monitor. Conclusion - This is a great monitor to choose as a first try in curved monitor game, but I would suggest getting one of the larger sizes or wider formats if you have the extra budget to fully appreciate the curved monitor experience. Beyond the size, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a curved monitor for gaming as it has the right specs and solves the ghosting issues of traditional VA panels while looking amazing.

The screen is awesome. You can change the screen position. Easy to turn on with the remote.My son love love it!

Bottom Line: The Samsung Odyssey G6’s curved screen creates an immersive gaming or movie watching experience. Pros: immersive curved screen; 1440p with high refresh rate; great contrast; useful remote control. Cons: light bloom on edges; smart hub might not be for everyone; limited swivel; curved screen not good for productivity. Review: This is my first curved screen monitor, and the curve does create an immersive gaming and viewing experience, especially in games where enemies may sneak up on you from the sides (for example, Resident Evil 3). The 1440p resolution and high refresh rate make this monitor a good choice for gamers who want to step up from 1080p, and the DisplayHDR 600 picture offers very good contrast between bright and dark areas. I’ve been playing Dark Souls a lot lately, and the bonfire looks much brighter than it did on my HDR400 display. Additionally, there was sharp contrast of details on some enemies hiding in the shadows that really stood out. The speakers produce good sound which is on par with what you would expect from a TV this size. For discerning players, the monitor also has an HDMI ARC port and headphone jack. I also like that there is a remote control, which allows one to access the settings without fiddling with the buttons you can’t see under the monitor. The screen isn’t perfect, however, and, as is often the case with edge-lit screens, there is noticeable bloom along the edges. It’s most apparent if the image on the edge is black and you’re viewing the screen in the dark. For me, the Smart Hub (essentially Smart TV-like software) that controls the monitor is a mixed bag. On one hand, it’s convenient to have media apps built-in so one can essentially use the monitor like a TV for media consumption. On the other, like a Smart TV, the monitor treats connected devices like apps inside the hub. The monitor attempts to auto recognize devices, but I find it faster and easier just to navigate to the connected port manually with the remote. Hence, the need to go through the hub could be frustrating for some who just want a simple plug-and-play experience. Last, I find that the monitor does not work well for productivity. The swivel (left and right) is pretty limited, and so it doesn’t work well as a second screen when connected to a laptop because I can’t turn the screen to face me as much as I need it to. Additionally, while the screen is really immersive for content consumption, the curve makes using productivity software and multiple apps awkward.

The Odyssey G6 is a huge step towards modern gaming. The days of 1080p gaming are long gone and Curved monitors are still unfamiliar for most, but 2k resolution with 240hz refresh (FPS)… that’s still completely new for everyone. Everything about the Odyssey G6 is gorgeous straight from the box. The Monitor stand is completely versatile and VESA ready, but honestly the stand is one of the best that I have ever seen come with a monitor. One of the biggest differences is the very wide base of the stand, which is needed to offset the 27” curve from tipping over. Samsung does an incredible job with a skinny base that doesn’t interfere with desktop space. The curved monitor is a bit strange, but less than 5 minutes and you will have adjusted. I’m actually so impressed with how quickly I went from “never used a curved monitor” to “I will never use a flat monitor ever again” The built in Samsung Gaming Hub and Smart TV is actually the greatest part about this monitor. I never thought about my monitor being a full entertainment set up. My Xbox, gaming PC, and Nintendo Switch are all hooked up and ready to go at the switch of a button. The auto detection feature reacts to the power up of any and all of my devices. The gaming hub even has xbox remote and cloud gaming ready to go. I don’t even need a console to enjoy AAA games. And for those moments I just want to kick back and watch a show, the samsung remote has a Disney+, Hulu and Netflix button. I never realized how much I wanted to watch a TV show or movie right from my computer chair. Overall the Monitor has become my favorite device for gaming and viewing other entertainment.

The Odyssey line of monitors is amazing. I have the 27 inch one and it must only get better with the other sizes. Right out of the gate/box you will notice this is not going to be complicated or hard to setup. It was not at all! This is my first curved monitor and I’m wondering what took me so long to take the leap and swoop one up. Alright, so once your setup you have your monitor and a remote, and it’s a smart monitor. It will literally walk you through how to configure your settings and preferences. My favorite three features (there are more) are: -Cloud gaming which was amazing and no lag -Portrait and Landscape feature of the screen -Wide landscape views of everything (I thought certain pictures would be cut off) It’s neat that depending on whether I have my tower turned on or my laptop on it will sense which source is on and switch over to it for ease of use. The picture quality is unmatched and the blacks are honestly really great. I saw a few dots in the picture she. I was setting up but I think that was a glitch of some sort. Once I got Fortnite going I was good to go. Oh, and the best surprise… there are built in speakers that have pretty good sound. I am going to upgrade to something with more bass but for a monitor I am very very satisfied with the sound as well. This is an awesome monitor for both beginners and experts
