What the package doesn't tell you is that out of the box it's formatted for Apple devices. However, instructions tell you what page to google to walk you through reformatting to a Windows device. I didn't find it difficult to do, but if you're not particularly tech savvy, you might wanna find something specifically for Windows.

The SanDisk Professional G-Drive works great. I have been using it for about a month and have not noticed any lag in performance, like other external drives. I purchased the 2 terabyte capacity to ensure adequate storage for backups on my MacBook Pro. Oh, not to mention, the SanDisk G-Drive is enclosed in a rugged case to easily withstand drops and shield it from debris. I highly recommend the SanDisk Professional G-Drive.

This hard drive is very durable and I trust the material the case is made of to carry it around to get work done. I’ve had it for two years now and haven’t had any problems with it such as corrupted files. It’s also very affordable and carries a sufficient amount of space for what I do for work.

As a music producer I literally take this thing everywhere, and keep my most important files on it. Never failed me after 3 years of heavy use. USB c makes it super fast and easy to connect for Mac’s and PC’s.

Works with my Mac... haven't tried other devices yet. I love the protective rubber on the outside. I have dropped plenty of hard drives. This one is about the size of a phone so it is good to carry in computer bag

I use this as a backup for my podcast files. The drive is heavy duty and protected from falls, and has a fast data transfer that allows me to back everything up in minutes.

This product is compact and fast! The only con is having to reformat to accommodate windows systems, but that was relatively easy to do!

I think this little "plug-and-play" storage device for my old MacBook Pro 2012 machine was a great investment. Hooked up seamlessly.

My old external hard drive failed so I started looking around for the best deal and option. Best Buy came through again as it has many times in the past. Great price and great unit. It was easy to set up and has many options

I've purchased two of these - one as a secondary backup for my photo libraries, one as a Time Machine backup drive for my daughter's laptop. Both have worked great. I've used numerous other Sandisk/G-Drive products always with dependable results.

I replaced my old usb 2.0 G drive with this one and so much faster and nicer to use. Especially with USB C. If you’re looking for something with decent speeds and something to move around without the worry of constant damage. I recommend this.

Works fine. High speed input. No external power required. If I had one complaint, it is that I had bought it a while back and when I finally pulled it out to hook it up, I had no idea what size it was because the hard rubber case hids all case markings.

Although this seems to be aimed at Mac users, it works excellently with my Windows PCs; I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a solid drive with good performance and durability.

After my new WD external drive did not work, I exchanged it for this one. I am thoroughly happy with the way it initiated connection and stored my data.
