Perfect backup for my Mac

Insert WHAT disk?

I hook this one up and it says to insert the installation disk... it didn't come with one. The box just had the drive and the cord in it. Not sure how I am supposed to install the Seagate Dashboard when it keeps giving an error message. Frustrating. Instead of getting more frustrated, I am just using it as a hard drive rather than a synced back up.
