has done a good job thus far easy to use and stores well on desktop

I decided to fork out the extra money to get this network capable hard drive rather than one of the GoFlex portables and it is worth it. I travel a lot so remote access to movies/music are important to me.

It is an ok device for a storage solution. Just make sure you have good connection.

Great unit for its price point and ease of setup. Sleek and light weight.

We have a small network with about 5 PC's we share information, retrieve info. remotely and make back-up's on this machine. It works great! The software that comes with it helps a LOT!

Out of warranty. No more support and service. just a piece of junk. Very poor Seagate support.

This is a great "personal cloud" that permits continuous back up of all computers in your network - wireless too. Great product.

I always had issues with finding a good centralized data backup system and this harddrive works great in my network!

This hard drive does not work unless you connect over wifi as a remote drive. Also, you have to connect with a USB male to male cord that is not even included. Go figure. Finally, tech support says the IOS operating systems are only compatible up to 2TB similar drives. 2 days later with a USB cord I don't need, I returned mine and purchased a direct connecting hard drive. This idea sounds good. I'll probably buy one when they get the technology worked out in a few years.

Finally a media server that works with my PS3, X-Box 360, blue ray players, Apple devices and Samsung TV.

I got it up and running but now I have no clue how to use it. I can't write to it from any pc except the one it was installed with. don't understand how this cloud thing works and can't find any help on it so it sits on my pc not being used and I can only read data from it from other devices but can't write to it. kind of frustrated and finding it useless except for a back drive for the original pc it was setup with.

We use these as network backups at our office, we have had no issues with them.

This device was recommended by the BestBuy salesperson. Very happy with it.

I was not sure of a wireless external hard drive. But it worked great.

for an external drive it works fine but getting it to do all the stuff it is advertised to do is another story. I've never gotten the web page to work. I even had another person try to get to work and had no success. I wouldn't recommend this product to someone with minimal IT skills. I've owned it for about a year
