So far so good. The drive is and does what it says it does. There was no power cable in the box when I opened it. But Best Buy immediately resolved the situation and got me a new power supply on the very next day. Thank you Best bye good job as usual.

Failed after 1 year and 2 months. Worked great up until then.

I only gave this one star because I couldn't give it a lower rating. This came broken and my other exact Seagate broke yesterday after I had it for only 3 months. I had SO MUCH information and downloads on it that can not be recovered! STAY AWAY FROM SEAGATE!!! Don't lose your valuable data! I just traded in my broken one for a WD. Good luck to you if you buy this garbage!

Not 16 GB. It checks out at 14.5 GB. I bought in part with $220 gift card after purchase of a major appliance. I can't figure out what is taking 1.5 GB of space on drive. Even after reformatting still only 14.5 GB. Is this false advertising? Cud have gotten 16 GB WD drive elsewhere for less but I have had really bad experiences with WD drives in my past. Still 14.5 GB much more than I need at this time but I am disappointed and annoyed that I can't see where the 1.5 B is on the hard drive.

Im very happy with this hard drive. I upgraded from an 8 tb and this one works just as good. Transferring all my games now!

It makes lots of noise where the drive is moving back-and-forth even when you’re not using it. It seems to slow down my computer for some reason. I bought a new computer with a fast processor but it’s slow which may be due to this external drive.

I recieved a 14.5 TB in a 16 TB box other that that it worked perfectly, very quiet, I returned the Item & returned in store & was fully refunded.

I received the product, but it only had 14.5TB of storage, which is the 16TB it says it should have.

This is a large format drive. I bought the 16TB version. It seems to be fairly speedy. It has an included fan to keep the drive cool that is whisper quiet. If that were the end of the review this would be perfect. However, this drive enclosure is so NOISY!!! Sounds like an old CD drive on startup or a 3.5 inch floppy drive. the noise is unusual in today's day and age. I have two more USB external drives connected to my computer that I cannot hear running. This drive however vibrates hard upon start up and rattles my desk every minute or so. I am not sure if mine is a defective version or if it needs bigger or better rubber feet to isolate it from the desk. I am considering shucking it from the enclosure and trying the drive in my external USB enclosure to see if it is the drive or the case. This might make a good drive for a NAS server (in a closet where you don't have to hear it).

Working great so far. Came with all the necessary cables. Fast file transfer speeds. Have not used the built in software so can't speak to its usefulness.
