My Wife's New Favorite Thing (And I'm Not Jealous)

Seriously! I can't believe I didn't know about the Shark Glossi sooner. Easily the best practical gift I've ever gotten my wife. She's Latina with gorgeous, long, thick, curly hair that falls about 3 inches past her shoulders. Ole' Glossi has been a total game-changer for her morning routine, and honestly, it's saved me time too since I'm not waiting as long. The first day I gave it to her, she went from towel-dry hair to fully styled in maybe 20-30 minutes. No more switching between the blow dryer, then the comb, then the flat iron or crimper. It's got soft boar-hair bristles and stiff nylon bristles like a regular brush, so it feels familiar. It should be known that it picks up a bunch of hair in the brush (that's just how curly hair is), but her hair ends up soft, bouncy, and looking like she just walked out of a salon. She's getting the hang of it, and I can already see her speeding up; probably down to 15 minutes soon. There's even a QR code you can scan for extra tips and tricks, which is a nice touch. Build-wise, it's solid like most Shark stuff. Thick cable, GFCI plug for safety, and the cord swivels 360 degrees so it doesn't get all twisted up. Feels durable enough for daily bathroom use. What's my biggest complaint? The plug. Because it's designed to plug in vertically, if you want both outlets free, you're stuck using the bottom one. The cable is 6 feet long, and honestly, I wish it were 8. It's stiff, too, so if you're not standing right next to the mirror, you might feel limited. We've had a few times where it would've been way nicer to sit on the couch and style her hair in front of the TV instead. The controls are pretty simple and labeled beautifully: wet mode, dry mode, airflow and heat settings. You start with wet mode to blow dry, then flip to dry mode to smooth out the frizz and add shine. One side of the Glossi is like a blow dryer brush, the other works like a flat iron. Depending on how you use it, you can go for volume or keep things smooth and flat. The ceramic plates heat up evenly, so there's no weird hot spots that could damage your hair. The airflow is strong but not crazy loud, even on the highest setting. You can blast it with hot air or use the cool setting to lock everything in place. And it stays warm to the touch—never gets burning hot, which is great. The design itself is pretty smart. You can switch between drying/detangling and straightening just by turning your wrist. No more battling with frizz or those stubborn curls right at the roots. Her hair has this healthy bounce and shine now that she never uses the flat iron. It's faster, safer, and just works better overall. She does a couple quick touch-ups during the week and she's set, which has cut down her getting-ready time by a lot. Overall, this was probably the most useful thing I've bought her, and she actually uses it all the time. If you or someone you know has long hair and hates the whole multi-step styling thing, this is definitely worth it. I'm telling you, it should be at the top of everyone's Christmas or birthday list this year. Buy this and you're basically buying yourself extra time while she handles her hair routine way faster.

So we've had the Shark Glossi Ceramic Hot Tool in our home for a few days now, I am still learning how to use it. There is some online tutorial videos included with the QR code that greets you when you open the box. The first thing I noticed is how well built the Shark Glossi feels. It is very premium feeling, the handle is sturdy and long enough to keep the heat away from your hand. I wish the cable was a little longer, but it isn't a big deal. You'll just have to stand near an outlet. I'm not sure if the built in brush is replaceable so I appreciate that it feels like it will last a long time. The Glossi has a built in hair dryer with adjustable heat and speeds. I really enjoyed using this product. It wasn't as heavy as I thought it would be and did not put my arm to sleep as some products tend to do while holding it up to give my hair a voluminous look. I have very straight hair and have never been able to hold a curl or wave no matter how many products I put in my hair. The shark glossy ceramic hot tool did give me a lasting voluminous look for most of the day. I loved how it did not pull my hair while brushing through my strands and I also liked how I was able to use this product while my hair was wet, as it has a built in blow dryer with different temperature settings. I also have frizzy hair on my ends and it left every strand shiny and silky. It had me feeling like I had just left the salon. Unfortunately it did not last too long in my hair, as I mentioned my hair does not tend to keep any type of slight curl or voluminous look but for the little time that it did last it looked and felt great. I just wish my hair would work with me. However, I also did try straightening my hair to have that soft shiny look since my hair tends to stay looking dry and frizzy after I use a regular blow dryer. I must say that did last in my hair even after stepping outside after a rainy day. Like I mentioned earlier, I am still learning how to use it. This is a new tool that I am excited to use more often. I love how it dries and styles my hair at the same time. It makes it more convenient as I no longer have to fiddle with a brush in one hand and hair dryer in the other. All in All, I am very happy with the Shark Glossi. It leaves my hair looking shiny and frizz free while helping me style. Im excited to learn how to do blowouts with this. If you are looking for a tool to do the same, I think you will like it.

Shark/Ninja is a very progressive company creating products that tend to be attractively priced and feature-rich. Often, they forge ahead into new market segments as well as create new categories. Good for them and good for us, wins all around. So, with this product sharing a few features with a much more expensive product that rhymes with “bison” and comes with a herd of accessories, we have a somewhat comparative competitor. Luckily, we’ve been “boarding” a “bison” for a while now and have come to really love it. This Glossi is very close in drying capability with a more unique heat delivering methodology allowing the gloss function to be as effective as it turns out to be. This Shark Glossi is not only easy to use, but also relatively lightweight, and versatile. I would also say that this product worked well for its price point and was quick to learn how to use. This product was used on my straight hair, so I can’t really speak to how it would perform on textured hair. But for my hair type, it worked very well. Upon opening the box, you will find an instruction card that includes some pictures and instructions on how to use the Glossi. There is a QR code printed in several different locations on the box and on the device that leads you to several video tutorials. There is an intro video, a bouncy blowout video, a sleek blowout video, and a few other links to their FAQ page and other shark beauty videos. If you have used other tools similar to this one, you might not need the videos, but they were a helpful visual to use and a good reminder of best practices when getting started. There is both a wet and dry mode on the Glossi. The wet mode is similar to a hairdryer, while the dry mode is similar to a hot tool or curling iron. I used both, and will say that the wet mode dries hair very quickly! There is also a button to adjust the temperature and a button to adjust the speed of the drying feature. The ceramic plate is only on one side of the tool, so you have to get used to being aware of where that plate is when you are using it. One slight drawback for me was that the cord length seemed to be a bit short. If you’re planning to use it in the bathroom, close to an outlet, you probably won’t run into this problem. If you’re planning to use it salon-style, I don’t think this tool would work well for that application. On the other hand, a big plus for the cord, (like the “bison”), is that there is a mechanism employed where the cord is attached to the body of the Glossi, that allows for rotation of the device while in use, preventing the cord from becoming twisted. Awesome feature! Overall, the Glossi is easy to use with the video tutorials in both wet and dry mode. The cord length isn’t too big of a problem if you’re planning to use it close to an outlet, but of course your results may vary. My hair still looked smooth after one night of sleep and a day of work after using the Glossi, which honestly surprised me. So, why do you want to buy this product instead of its competitors? The first may be price, coming in at a reasonable amount for the features offered. Simplicity, in a sense that there are no additional accessories needed (or included) and when traveling, just throw it in a bag and go. Effectiveness, in that it will achieve the results of drying, styling and glossing your hair as desired. I would definitely recommend it to a friend if they’re looking to get that blowout or glossy look!

The Shark Glossi 2-in-1 Hot Tool & Air Glosser is a styling device that provides powerful airflow with a heated ceramic barrel to deliver a salon-style blowout. In my experience, the product works well, especially on my thick, coarse, curly hair. Likes: 1. I love that it offers two-in-one functionality: both a blow dryer and a straightening/glossing brush. Rather than switching between two of my products or packing both a blow dryer and a straightener, I can use both simultaneously with just the flip of a switch. 2. The Glosser is helpful too, as it cuts down on time. My hair would normally take an hour to just blow dry than straighten. With the Shark Glossi, I don’t have to wait for my hair to be completely dry before I start styling. What normally takes me 1.5 hours, from hair washed to hair completely styled, is now cut to 45 minutes. 3. I end up with smooth, salon-quality results. My coarse, thick, and curly hair usually ends up frizzy when I blow dry, and it requires high heat to tame it down. With the effective heat and air control, the Shark Glossi helps you achieve the style you want without damaging your hair. I have used this tool multiple times now and can confidently say that I have achieved the “blowout from the salon” look, complete with shine and volume. I not only get straight hair, but also bouncy, glossy results. Dislikes: 1. The styling device is somewhat loud, especially when using the higher airflow setting. When styling closer to your face, the hot hair can be felt and is a bit uncomfortable, but not unbearable. 2. It took me a couple of passes through my hair to figure out the best technique, and to transition from “wet” to “dry” styling. 3. The tool weighs 1.6lbs. After almost an hour of styling your hair, you feel the weight of the device. Overall verdict: For me, the Shark Glossi 2-in-1 is a win. The combination of a “blow dryer and ceramic heat” makes this a very effective tool. My usual stubborn, thick, coarse, and curly hair is easily transformed into a shiny, bouncy salon-styled look. There is a learning curve, but once you figure it out, the results and the time it takes to get your hair perfect are worth it. I would highly recommend this product, especially if you spend a significant amount of time drying and smoothing your hair. If you want to cut down time and devices, the Shark Glossi 2-in-1 Hot Air Tool and Air Glosser is for you.

Hair styling can be a bit of a battlefield. So many gadgets promise “miracle results,” but most end up being clunky, time-consuming, or just plain disappointing. That’s why I was genuinely surprised when I tried the Shark Glossi Ceramic Hot Tool - it’s not just another dryer, it’s a full-on styling companion that makes salon-quality blowouts feel doable at home. First Impressions The first thing I noticed was how thoughtfully it’s designed. The buttons are placed exactly where you’d want them, so you’re not constantly hitting the wrong setting mid-style. It feels intuitive, like someone actually thought about how people use these tools in real life. Tech That Actually Helps The ceramic technology is the real star here. Instead of blasting your hair unevenly like a lot of dryers do, it spreads heat smoothly, which means less damage and more shine. My first couple of tries weren’t perfect — there’s a bit of a learning curve — but once you get the hang of it, the payoff is huge: volume, bounce, and gloss that usually only happens in a salon chair. Volume Without the Crunch If you’re chasing that elusive “effortless volume,” this tool nails it. The **Air Glosser** feature gives hair lift and movement without frying it or leaving it stiff. My hair looked fuller but still soft, which is a rare combo. Everyday Convenience Little details make a big difference. The extra-long cord? A lifesaver. No more awkward stretching or dragging the dryer across the counter. And because it dries and styles at the same time, my morning routine is noticeably faster. The adjustable settings also mean it works for different hair types, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all situation. Salon Results, Minus the Salon What I love most is how accessible it feels. You don’t need to be a pro to get good results. It’s sturdy, sleek, and looks great sitting on the counter, but more importantly, it delivers. It’s not just a dryer — it’s a styling tool that makes professional-level blowouts something you can actually achieve at home. Final Take After putting it through its paces, I can say this: the Shark Glossi Ceramic Hot Tool is worth the investment. Yes, it takes a little practice, but once you get comfortable, the results are impressive. Fast, glossy, bouncy hair without the damage — it’s a standout in a crowded market.

Where have you been all my life??? I have tried other tools and then gone back to all the separate items thinking all in one might not be the answer. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this one, much like another popular all in one, is an even better option. So my hair is 4' past shoulder length, color treated with some grey naturally wiry texture. Humidity is the enemy and you haven't see frizz like this. This seems to be a great answer to my hair challenges. The Shark Glossi has good directions, hints and tips so don't just jump in and think you know how to use it, spend a few minutes reading through the easily accessible directions through the QR code. The tips and tricks videos you can link to a are great on sectioning hair into smaller portions gets the best results. There are two modes, start wet or start dry. It works great as a hair dryer for thick hair. After a few tries it took me about 20-25 minutes and I'm sure I can take 5-10 minutes off that with some more experience. It doesn't seem to be any louder than a comparable hair dryer, after all it uses a fan and has to move air to work. You can manually control the heat setting and air flow speed from the handle. The power chord is heavy duty and has a built in GFCI which I appreciate because I will be using it in the bathroom near water. The other great thing is the swivel connection on the handle, no more tangled messy chords. The results were fantastic.. I mean, shiny, bouncy and no frizz is now easier than ever. This is by far the best tool for salon results for a DIY'er. Highly recommend this styling tool..

Unpacking - See first 3 Images - impressed by packaging and nice start guide Presentation/packaging: Well packaged/ sturdy box with premium presentation. Great color of the hair tool. Box Includes pictures and helpful tips as well as a QR code with a start guide and related how to videos. Handling: Styling tool is lightweight and feels balanced while using. Perfect size styling tip with grip to hold while in use. Provides seamless use without any heat reaching your fingertips. Drying: The wet mode used for drying was quick and easy to use. 3 different air flow & heat options. To dry quickly, the high heat & air flow made it a breeze and created volume with minimal effort. Once my hair was mostly dry, I switched to low air/ heat to style. After using this hair tool (with no product of any kind) , it left my hair feeling smooth, provided great volume with a nice wave and left no frizz. My hair is typically frizzy in nature, especially after blow drying, but the Shark has created soft, smooth, sleek hair. Compared to similar products I have used in the past, where it leaves my hair dry and frizzy, the Shark is above the rest. It leaves your hair soft and shiny and the bristles do not pull at your hair Dry mode: The Dry mode is an incredibly useful feature that surprised me on how well it worked. It has an option to use with the air flow or without. This is a fantastic feature that most hot air tools do not have. Even in dry mode, it left my hair soft with no frizz. Overall, this is an incredible 2 in 1 tool that will immediately replace my current hair styler and significantly cut down my styling time

I had my partner test out the Shark Glossi 2-in-1 as part of her daily hair routine. She has thicker hair that’s just above shoulder length, and it has some curls/waves to it naturally (type 2A). Her normal hair routine involves a hairdryer and either a flat-iron or curling iron depending on the look for the day. She was interested in the Glossi for the blow-out and shine/gloss effect. The Glossi has 2 main modes – Wet and Dry. Each mode has low, med, and high settings. For wet mode the Glossi functions as a hair dryer as well. In Dry hair mode only the ceramic heating plates are on. The Glossi comes with a 6ft cord that has a swivel connection to the base of the tool. The overall shape of the tool is like a teardrop, which is supposed to allow the tool to lay flatter against your head when you are getting down to the roots. Results wise she was happy with how her hair looked. On the wet setting she was able to get her hair dried and styled in about 10-15 minutes – this is starting from damp hair as the instructions recommended. To accomplish the same effect before she would have been blow drying and either ironing for at least the same amount of time if not longer due to waiting on the flat iron to warm up. For a quick restyle on dry hair it only took a few minutes for the Glossi to be up to temp and for the task to be completed. It did a really good job of adding volume and putting a shine on her hair. She typically battles the frizz in the winter and this helped knock that down for longer than her regular flat iron. From my perspective I thought her hair looked really nice when it was styled with either method. However, results aside she didn’t have the best experience with the Glossi all the way through. There was a learning curve to know how to properly style with it, which was initially frustrating for her. Knowing whether to style her hair over or under the Glossi was her biggest frustration – under the hair gives volume be the ends flip in, while over the hair sleeks it down but the ends flip out. The shape of the Glossi kind of dictates how you have to use it, which is a departure from how she is used to brushing out and styling her hair. These issues can be overcome with time and practice, so not the end of the world. However, she had some issues with the overall design. These are more fundamental issues that make it difficult for her to use. The Glossi is constructed rather well – it is really well put together and the buttons/interface are easy to adapt to. The problems however end up being related to the design itself, not how well the design was executed. First issue was with the plug. The plug is pretty large – the biggest I have encountered on a device like this. If your outlet is close to your vanity top you may not be able to plug it in at all. In our case the center of the outlet measures about 5” up from the counter, and we had to plug it in to the top plug, which then fully covers the bottom plug. Lower outlets may result in the cord being pinched between the plug and the counter. The next issue was the weight of the styling head. A comfortable grip position to handle that weight happened to cover the inlet for the blower function, so she had to grip higher, which lead to it feeling more unwieldy. She has a history of wrist injuries, which may affect her handling of the Glossi more than others. This difficulty controlling the weight also lead to discomfort when using the brush. She had to be careful with the coarse inner bristles because she has a sensitive scalp, but the weight of the Glossi made it difficult to avoid the occasional hard landing of the bristles onto her scalp. Overall, the function and results of the Glossi were pretty good. She liked how her hair looked after styling it and thought it worked really well. However, her difficulties with it are enough to limit her use of it. I attribute some of these issues to her wrist injuries, but I think that’s going to be a limitation for a number of people.

This is at its essence a hair dryer with a brush, however it works very differently: One side of the brush has heating elements so it can heat up by blowing hot air and can also heat at higher temperatures on one side of the brush, with or without bowing air. The 'Dry hair' setting does not blow air, so all the heat produced comes from the brush part. Wet hair is more like a hair dryer with three speed settings and three temperature settings. It's electronically controlled so it's more quiet than hair dryers and more precise. Our teens hair can be very frizzy and this does wonders. The only other time I've seen either of them with such a smooth and glossy hair is after a hairdresser appointment, so yes this is very good. The handle can be a bit long to hold but it's manageable. It has some substance but it's not too heavy. The brush is made of a combination of synthetic and natural boar hair. Got it in Teal color and everything is matching from the color of the heater on the comb to the cable and plug. Works and looks great.

I have very thick and frizzy hair and blowdrying and styling my hair is not something I look forward to. I did some research and went with this product and its AMAZING! It not only shortens my blowdry time but makes my hair silky and smooth. I would have given it 5 stars but I noticed that my hair had a few breakaways.

Aesthetics may be the last thing to look for when shopping for a hair tool, but this one by Shark looks posh and of good quality, the color is lovely as well. This hair tool is ideal for any hair type. With its fast heating mechanism and its multiple temperature settings, it is a great choice for everyday use. Also leaves your hair glossy and salon-like. The Shark Glossi eliminate frizz or knotty hair and helps you achieve smooth and shiny hair. Love that it can be used for both wet and dry hair. You can achieve salon like blow dry without breaking the bank and right at your own home.

The Shark Glossi 2-in-1 Hot Tool and Hair Glosser is perfect for the beginner all the way on up to the pro level user. Quality and Size: This is clearly a higher quality hair tool than you would find at the average big box store or an online purchase with a lower price tag. It’s definitely on the large size at 13 inches in total length, but its sturdy feel gives confidence that the components and craftsmanship make it built to last awhile. Its design is basically that of an oversized round barrel brush, which makes it both easy to hold and to operate without losing your grip. Ease of Use: I am not someone who uses hair tools with any sort of regularity. I know how to straighten my hair with a blow dryer and flat iron, but not in a way that remotely looks like I just got out of a professional stylist’s chair. And I have hair that likes to frizz up when confronted with the slightest bit of moisture. So it is thrilling to use a device that makes it so easy to achieve salon-level results. It couldn’t be simpler to use. It only has two buttons and one adjustment switch. The buttons modulate the dryer’s air flow and temperature. The switch is to allow you to toggle between wet and dry modes. If your hair is still damp, choose wet mode first, which essentially turns it into a combination blow dryer slash hairbrush with the air blowing from holes between the bristles. Don’t forget to detangle with your regular brush or comb before you begin. For best results, flip your head upside down and just move the device in a downwards motion over your hair until it’s less than damp but not entirely dry. You may adjust both air flow and temperature for this setting. Now you’re ready for dry mode, which takes less than a minute to get heated up from scratch. Then you need to decide which style you want, whether you want to go bigger with a “voluminous and bouncy” style or if you’d prefer the more polished look the package refers to as “smooth and sleek”. To achieve volume, you section the hair, just as you normally would with any other hair styling device. Then position the brush’s bristles under the section as close to the scalp as possible, then rotate as you slowly move the brush in an up and away motion. The ceramic plates that are located on one side of a small portion of the brush are used to defrizz. You begin on the brush side then run the strands through the plates to sleek your hair when finishing up each section. If jet straight hair is your personal preference, then the ceramic plates are key. Run each hair section through those bad boys and you’ll be all set. The concern, of course, is that you’ll catch parts of your hair in either the bristles or the ceramic plates. Rest assured that this frustrating snag never occurred at all. It was an entirely painless experience. On top of that, it never got too hot and there were none of the accidental hand, scalp, or ear burns that a novice or even experienced style pro might endure. A very safe product to use overall because no part of your skin ever really has the opportunity to accidentally come in contact with the heating element. Plus, it’s easy to just put it down even immediately after use on virtually any surface without worry that you’ll burn a hole in something. End Result: Again, this information is coming from someone who does not regularly use drying, straightening, or curling devices. But the results achieved were impressive. It looked professionally styled with zero frizz. Days later it remains ready for an evening out with minimal touch-up effort. The only styling issue I struggled with was really creating a lot of volume, but that is probably more user error than anything else. Or it’s likely that practice makes perfect. The directions are easy to follow and I certainly had more volume than just a purely straight style would accomplish. It’s also possible that I just have hair that is a little too thin to create much volume in the first place. Critical Look: A critical eye towards the product would probably bring up the fact that it’s more substantial in size than just a flat iron. But everyone who styles their hair with a heating tool is also accustomed to the bulkiness of a hair dryer. So the transition to a product that accomplishes both drying and straightening is a relatively easy one. Plus, it weighs about the same as any ceramic plate flat iron, so there’s no issue there. The only other aspect that needs to be addressed that might be an issue for some is that a single pass isn’t going to work for all hair types. I can only go off my own hair, which is unruly and frizzy and curly and often all of those things at once. My hair required multiple passes. Slowing down seemed to be more effective, but it still required more than two passes. Maybe there’s a learning curve or maybe more than one pass is standard. Or maybe it just depends on the hair type. And it will also be different depending on hair length and density obviously. Summary: Ultimately, I give this product 5 stars for simplicity of design, ease of use, and exceptional results. The fact that even someone with minimal experience with these kinds of hair tools would be able to accomplish what the product is made for is a triumph of design. I never felt that my hair was harmed in any way or that it would be damaged from long-term use. I appreciated that the style lasted through sleep and showers (covered, of course) and everything else requiring minimal touching up. I would most definitely recommend this product and will likely use it on a regular basis because of how easy it is to use and because the results are so impressive.

It works well and doesn’t take too long for me to dry and style my hair. I have long, thick, wavy/curly hair, and it does the job, but I still need to use a flat iron to make my hair look as sleek as I’d like.

This is a pretty good blow dry brush, love the dual wet to dry option. I saw a couple reviews that said it was heavy but I didn’t think so.
